Happy 4th🇺🇸 2020

“These are the pleasures that we take in our own lives, our own wakefulness in this world, and in the company of other people and creatures—pleasures innate in the Creation and in our own good work. “ Wendell Berry

After reading and enjoying writings from Mr Berry I felt each thought he shared was an invite to roll back time as I paused on July 4 in 2020 to give memory to the things that I enjoyed while living in freedom of “let freedom ring”🇺🇸Old fashion values in my little village thinking would be kindness and respect for one another. A hand wave, a nod as one passes by, a tip of the hat, excuse me, a soft sorry, a plant clipping shared from our yards, and so many more. Sounds of 🐝🐝🐝🐝🧵🦋🦋🦋🐇🐓all while porch rocking and an old wood swing hanging from the ceiling. A hand shake, your welcome, an old fashion laugh because joy was in the air. A big howdy and how do you do? You are invited to roll back time and toss around some gifts from the marriage of Kindness and Gratitude! 💓 Happy 4Th to you and a picnic basket brimming over with your favorite things in great abundance. A few peeking through of peace, hope, love and joy. Good Day to you🕊

  1. YAY! Hey! We are the Bunny class, Bunny Dolly, Bunny Polly, Bunny Jack, Baby bunny Tina, Bro Rabbit Timmy and Bunny Tam🐝

Wishing you ALL a Happy 4th of July.

We don’t have a long litany to share with you because we are new Americans. But, Lady Land Lord shares each morning. So, to add to her roll back charming town of days gone by we have a few things she keeps alive for us.

We hop by and she invites us in. We are treated with leaves and flowers and she says that’s our tea time. She always has a scripture to tie in to our concerns for the day. At times a song and often a prayer.

I want all of you to know that she has a strong belief prayer is very needful for our country. She said, the whole world is desperate to heal. Very desperate. Please let’s all pray.🇺🇸

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid.“

John 14:1 “ “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.”

Now let us prays says, LLL…she says we pause from nibbling to show respect to the Creator of all.

    🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Your Bunny Class Friends

    1. Hay, Bunny class, LLL instructs above: “I want all of you to know that she has a strong belief prayer is very needful for our country. She said, the whole world is desperate to heal. Very desperate. Please let’s all pray.🇺🇸 Here is what it said over in 1Thessalonians 5….”16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 🙏

      1. Ms TH, we read your scripture and the whole chapter. For our learning the writer starts out with, vs 1)“Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2) for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3) While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.“ lot more the writer said and then comes vs 12) Final Instructions which includes Your quoted verse which he a power drink to get through our day. But, what does vs 26 mean in this pack of final instructions, “Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.”?

Lot of instructions in this chapter. Vs 12-28 will be part of learning today! Hey Ms TH this is like gardening don’t you think?

      2. “But, what does vs 26 mean in this pack of final instructions, “Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.” I usually read the footnotes, in my Bible to help me understand verses…. but when I tried to find the footnotes for this verse….. 🧐🤔, 😳🙈😩😱there were none. I read some commentary information online, but not sure I grasp all the understanding? 🤷‍♀️Anyone in the bunny class have any help for me, I need it. 😬

      3. Hey Ms Tammy, this is Tam🐝 I have a idea for you to try for a clue. Does your Big Book have footnotes for Psalm 2:12 “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.“

      4. Thanks for helping Tam🐝. I did find footnotes in my Bible. The footnotes are actually for verses 11 & 12 for Psalms 2. Here we go: “ We must surrender fully and submit to the Son. Christ is not only God’s chosen King, he is also the rightful King of our hearts and lives. To be ready for Christ’s return, we must submit to his leadership every day.”

      5. Ms Tammy, that’s great you found footnotes. That sure gets us close to understanding better how to treat our blood bought family.

“The Church, believers, Purchased By The Blood… Paul gives is our family tree in 1 Corinthians 6:20, “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” I Corinthians‬ ‭6:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
shows that every member of the church has been bought with the price of the blood of Christ; the church is composed of members; hence, the church has been purchased with the blood of Christ. He has given for us His own most precious blood to make us family. Love one another! Respect and honor one another. Greet one another with a holy kiss….peace, love and respect.

Sure others will have more info. 💛Tam🐝

  2. Thank you for sharing Mr. Berry’s quote, your picture and your own memories of enjoyment, Sara, “while living in freedom of “let freedom ring.
”The “Old fashion values in my little village thinking” are better than eating comfort food when I read them.

“You are invited to roll back time and toss around some gifts from the marriage of Kindness and Gratitude!“

Rolling back…I have grateful memories of many holidays and occasions over the years when The Daily Lily family and friends physically gathered together. Sometimes to enjoy the kindness of another’s hospitality; share meals; celebrate a special occasion; enjoy friendship and fellowship while expressing our gratitudes; participate in a retreat; attend an event; be a part of out-reach for someone else needing joy or comfort or help; etc.

Though gatherings like these are not safely wise now, we are blessed to have The Daily Lily at our fingertips to share on and enjoy communication, fellowship through words, song, prayer, videos pictures, etc.

And what a delight to be be a part of The Daily Lily school and have all our new friends from the Bunny class. We all benefit and are greatly blessed (like the bunnies) from what LLL shares… “She always has a scripture to tie in to our concerns for the day. At times a song and often a prayer.”…how very true!

And Bunny class, thank you for sharing this from LLL: “I want all of you to know that she has a strong belief prayer is very needful for our country. She said, the whole world is desperate to heal. Very desperate. Please let’s all pray.”

I join in this much needed prayer on this July 4, 2020.

    1. “Tam-Bee, thanks for letting us know how important “our blood bought family” is.

And I noticed you reminded us that “the church is composed of members..”

I thought I would take a look from I Corinthians 12 to see how this works. Here’s what it said:
“For example, the body is one unit and yet has many parts. As all the parts form one body, so it is with Christ. By one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether we are Jewish or Greek, slave or free, God gave all of us one Spirit to drink. As you know, the human body is not made up of only one part, but of many parts. Suppose a foot says, “I’m not a hand, so I’m not part of the body!” Would that mean it’s no longer part of the body? Or suppose an ear says, “I’m not an eye, so I’m not a part of the body!” Would that mean it’s no longer part of the body? If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If the whole body were an ear, how could it smell? So God put each and every part of the body together as he wanted it. How could it be a body if it only had one part? So there are many parts but one body.”

Then I thought about what you said, “ Greet one another with a holy kiss….peace, love and respect.”

Our Body with it’s vastly different members will be a mess if these members don’t operate peacefully with one another, or exhibit the Love of Christ, or respect (“due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others”) each other.

  3. What a beautiful video and touching song delivered so lovely and lovingly. God bless the Foster Triplets! Thank you for sharing them with us.

    1. Ms D glad you enjoyed the triplets. They started singing at age 2 m. A gift and talent given by God. Their parents believers in Jesus Christ recognized their gifting and supported them in the faith. They grew like a beautiful garden of renown. They are little epistles. They study, live and and preach Jesus Christ. In their day every little thing from a song bird, new pups, a leaf, a rain drop gives them pause to marvel and praise God.

It’s so refreshing to see the fruit of good parenting from Our Heavenly Father to earth parents and community to be the standard barriers for the Next generation.

Ms TH invites us to rejoice in the writings from 1Thessalonians 5, 16,17,18 and they are better than fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast.. so, we broke into the full chapter….vs 12) Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.“

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🐝🦋🐇🐓🌹❣️🍋 This lesson might teach you the Bunny Hop! The Bunny hide! The Bunny…..

LLL said these young ladies, the Foster Triplets give hope to many that are just having young children. Like you, Ms D with young grand children and wondering where to find truth that is spoken, sung and lived. Isn’t God wonderful to introduce us to the new as we honor His Truth. Yes, Rejoice!

      1. That is a really wonderful “new” to read about the triplets, their God-given gift at such an early age, their character and dedication and the outstanding work and guidance and support from their parents. May the Lord continue to bless and help them in all they do.

“This lesson might teach you the Bunny Hop! The Bunny hide! The Bunny…..”

        My thoughts:
Bunny Hop: hop to it by “acknowledge; Hold them in the highest regard; warn those; encourage”

Bunny Hide: “test”… then run from evil

How about a Bunny song: “Rejoice; pray; give thanks”

  4. Bunnies hopping everywhere with Chipmunks racing to taste the morning glories before bunnies start their nibbling and hiding in the shade. It’s very hot and humid and that makes brain slug for hum-bun😱

I’m working on my words and today it’s kindness. LLL gives me instructions from the Big Book. 1) it’s kindness from the Holy Spirit: Galatians 5:22 It is not worldly niceness. It is fruit that has to be properly grown. It shows signs of growing in rhythms as nature’s pace. We can’t make it grow to our pace, like setting goals and telling it what and when to grow. No, we let it flow as the river of life flows.

She gave us a poem to help with our understanding.

“Thank you God for sun and showers
Thank you God for each lovely flower
Thank you for each stately tree
Though all these, you speak to me.”
    —A Gardener’s Prayer

Now, we must trust Spirit for kindness to show! Class is that right?

  5. Dear Bunny friends, so glad you are staying active in school despite the heat and humidity and continuing to share vital words with us from LLL. Her wisdom on today’s word, “kindness”, is a really good lesson to think on and learn from.

Bunnies, in reviewing her prayer/poem “to help with our understanding”, I noticed it was full of thanks and gratitude for what Our Creator has made. Maybe that is the first step in being able to learn kindness from His creation and to hear Him speak to us.

I want to share a quote from LLL’s “Bee Book”, The Bee of Blossoming-Exploding Beauty” that seems to connect: “Praise and thanksgiving brings entrance into His strength, His power and His authority”.

Guess we sure need to pause often to observe and thank our Creator for His kindness in sharing all this beauty with us and teaching us many lessons if we can hear what He is teaching us.

“Now, we must trust Spirit for kindness to show! Class is that right?”

Yes, Bunnies, I would agree that is right.

  6. Ms Debi, you have written so eloquently as a skilled quitter with parts hand sewn together to delight the soul and reach high for His strength, power and authority from, LLL Bee🐝 workbooks. As our class reads, hears and believes it so much easier to pray and have faith for answers.

How do you like our skid reading this am?

“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.“—Luke 12:27 (NRSV)

We just Garden walked and paused to view the stately lilies that were standing tall and stately even after a night storm. WOW!

Now let’s do as we are instructed, consider the lilies….

    The Lily Bunny gang💛🐝

  7. Lily Bunny Gang, you asked, “How do you like our skid reading this am?”I think it is great and lots to think on.

Since we have been asked in today’s lesson to “consider the lilies”… I started with the word ‘consider’. Consider: think carefully about (something), typically before making a decision; think about and be drawn toward (a course of action); regard (someone or something) as having a specified quality.

Then I thought about our school’s name, “The Daily Lily School of Learning”. So I thought I would focus on the type of lily, “Hemerocallis”, that is called the daylily since each of its abundant flowers is daily, lasting only one day.

I consulted some daylily online info from the American Daylily Society and learned that: “The word Hemerocallis is derived from two Greek words meaning “beauty” and “day,” referring to the fact that each flower lasts only one day. To make up for this, there are many flower buds on each daylily flower stalk, and many stalks in each clump of plants, so, the flowering period of a clump is usually several weeks long. And, many cultivars have more than one flowering period.”

No wonder Luke 12:27, our lesson’s scripture verse says that “Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.” …a beautiful new outfit each day for weeks and weeks!!

Also, I learned from the American Daylily Society about the character of this flower that we are to consider.
“The daylily is sometimes referred to as the perfect perennial because it is:
    • Available in a rainbow of colors and a variety of shapes and sizes.
    • Able to survive with very little care in a wide range of climates.
    • Suitable for all types of landscapes.
    • Drought tolerant when necessary, with relatively few pest and disease problems in most gardens. See descriptions of pests and diseases that may be encountered.
    • Adaptable to various soil and light conditions.
    • Known to bloom from late spring until autumn.”

Seems, Bunnies, the character traits I see as good examples for us (especially we two-legged creatures) to consider are: thrive in our uniqueness; don’t be high maintenance; be adaptable and flexible under differing circumstances; bloom where you are planted.

These are a few of my “considers”.
