You are LOVED!

I see your face

“Our sacrifices and our choices remind us that we are all image-bearers, and every relationship is holy. On whomever I focus my attention, I have the chance to see the face of Christ.” Today’s Reflection, This Life That Is Ours by Lauren Burdette

”So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.“
‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭31‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Happy, Blessed Day to All! God loves you and so do we!

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.  In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.  In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.” (1 John 4:7-21 ESV)

  1. What wonderful words and picture of life and encouragement for all, Sara!

“Our sacrifices and our choices remind us that we are all image-bearers, and every relationship is holy. On whomever I focus my attention, I have the chance to see the face of Christ.”

This quote brought remembrance of a teaching Sara did from her workbook, “Dressing for His Glory”. The lesson was, “Image: The Beauty of Jesus.” In this lesson, we studied and were encouraged to behold His image and to seek to conform to His image. Sara quotes, “Now, let us glory in “The Beauty of Jesus” as we seek to reproduce His Image in us by yielding and allowing His Spirit to fill us and lead us.”

Sara goes on to write, “As I look, I see His face shining as “A Glory of Grace”, allowing me to access a life of Holiness – set apart to love – where harmony, joy, and fruitfulness abide – to accept others where they are.”

One of the main scriptures in this lesson was from 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

It seems to me that the words from this blog and from Sara’s lesson helps to understand that beholding Him not only transforms us but helps us to see the transformed image in others as they behold Him also.

    1. WOW Debi! Truth never grows old! Beautiful inspiring Words from the past studies spring forth in the garden of today with a new sweetness in their tone!

When we keep our focus in the frame of God’s grace beauty never fades. We are going from glory to glory and so are others!

it’s most difficulty to explain at times but always easy when one see one another framed in the heart of God.

Thanks for the reminder from Sara’s book Debi.🙏

  2. The footnotes for 1st John 4:7 says,(NIV) “Everyone believes that love is important, but love is usually thought of as a feeling. In reality, love is a choice and an action, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 shows. God is the source of our love: He loved us enough to sacrifice his Son for us. Jesus is our example of what it means to love; Everything he did in life and death was supremely loving. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to love; he lives in our heart and makes us more and more like Christ. God’s love always involves a choice and an action, and our love should be like his….”

  3. “God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.” (Romans 5:5 (NRSVUE)

    “…love is a choice and an action,”1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 from Tammy’s footnote

Our study of love makes me realize anew I need to pay attention to my choices and actions regarding love in the same way I enjoy deciding the shoes and clothes I want to wear today. Color and texture delights me each morning as I roam around in the closet full of items to chose from to help me enjoy my day in joy and comfort.

hum! Do I find the same joy when I look in my heart for love to share. “The Holy Spirit gives us the power to love; he lives in our heart and makes us more and more like Christ. God’s love always involves a choice and an action, and our love should be like his….” From footnotes

    1. “Our study of love makes me realize anew I need to pay attention to my choices and actions regarding love in the same way I enjoy deciding the shoes and clothes I want to wear today. “ I just had to repeat this from above

  4. Tammy’s footnotes said, “God is the source of our love: He loved us enough to sacrifice his Son for us.”… and, “The Holy Spirit gives us the power to love; “…

I think that sure lets us know we can’t take any credit for receiving or giving love. And I think it helps us see that we have worth not for anything we have received or given, but because of His love for us.

It reminded me of this scripture also from Romans 5: 6-8:

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

    1. Just like the above verses, the footnotes for Romans 5:8 from the NLT sure does encourage us….”While we were still sinners— These are amazing words. God sent Jesus Christ to die for us, not because we were good enough, but just because he loved us. Whenever you feel uncertain about God‘s love for you, remember that he loved you even before you turn to him.”✝️🙏
