Focus on Light

HOO Cares? 🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉

WE Do! Thanks Rena for the selfie. As we pause and think on our year 2016 and our outreach to many our new sweatshirts from Customink has given us a Hoo🦉 to help us celebrate with many others in 2017.

John 13:34-35 (NIV) “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35) By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Yes, it’s that time on our calendars to give ourselves a 👏🏻! Let’s join in the bond of ❤️  in old and new ways so we can continue to CARE and hopefully be JOY bearers in 2017! Be peacemaker and hope givers.

Hoo Cares? We Do!

“…carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.”

Recently, I have had this recurring thought, “Sara, listen to your heart. And, carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.”Whoa, I would awaken with a mind carving tool ready to flow. Words ready to flow in color and style. I would begin my word pictures for healing, peace, joy, and ‘Heaven Comforts’ only to be united with artisans, artist, resources and spirit of unity to create heavenly heart pockets filling up earth spots with beauty that had seemed destined for ugly.

After, hearing my inner voice calling and singing, a few times; “Sara, listen to your heart. And, carve out happiness in the midst of ugliness.” I did a few small beauty spots and God gave the increase. I was totally amazed beyond amazement. Then, I paused and wondered why things were being created in such wonderment after years of struggle. I heard the Word from scripture showing me when I stopped asking and trying in came the rain, raiment and the holy. I hope you ponder these words given by the Apostle Paul around 2,000 years ago that are still mind and spirit ready tools in the hands of an earth artist.

“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21, NRSV

Rhythms Of Grace

Tonight as I was singing my prayers I had an awakening of Grace! Grace is rhythm and rhythm is grace.

The Rhythms of Grace are for dancing, singing and adorning The Throne of The King with beauty, dignity and boldness of faith. The writer of Hebrews chapter 4 verse six writes an invitation inviting us to come to the happening at The Throne of Grace. “Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.” This gives me the faith to know there is wholeness at the feet of grace. For it’s there where mercy pardons our sins and grace purifies our soul. Aweee, where one sees grace one sees beauty and exactness.

I hope that some will join me in the dance of healing as our beauty adorns the King. Psalm 45; gives us the beat of the rhythm so let’s do as instructed in vs. 11 “Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.”
And, response; “You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.”

Dance my friends dance! The rhythm of grace is bidding for your love as the waltz of your wedding song gently plays while you vow all the words from psalm 45! Let’s make Christmas 2014 a wedding feast to honor Our King!

Merry Christmas!

If I were a flower.. …My son, Christopher and his wife, Tammy, went farming
in northern Virginia for sunflowers! Look what they surprised me with! Aren’t they beautiful? Happy flowers that smile and makes me happy! If I were a flower I think I would choose to be a sunflower because they seem to always follow the sun!
What flower would you like to be and why?

A Path…

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6, NKJV)
ImageI have spend the last year or so trying to build a walking meditative path on an acre of land that was purely neglected farm land for years in eastern NC. It has a small pond that is worked into my maze. We have now planted 20 plus Crepe Myrtle Trees along my charted design.  Hopefully, with the downpours of rain and sun sprinting in between we will see blooms to delight the eye in a week or two. It’s still rough terrain with much work to do. As I contemplated my second part of this oversized plan I felt the pang of discouragement tucking at me. When out of the clear I hear the words from the man of wisdom; stop and acknowledge God and then He will direct your path! Looks like I have work to do inside myself so my walking meditative path can take on it’s intended character and use.

I hope each of you have a well “lit path” as you do your work today! May enlightenment be your greatest reward!
