Burdened?

I think it would be selfish on my part, not to share with the
world…after such a marvelous retreat! I thank God for all that He has
done..and going to do!

Burdened?

It doesn’t take a “rocket scientist” to figure out that with today’s hectic
lifestyles, it’s easy to allow satan to bombard us with heavy burdens. If we
took the time to slow down, and…”Be still and know that I am God.”(Ps.
46:10),and remember..(Matt. 11:28-30) “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of
you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the
burden I give you is light.” How AWESOME is this? He wants to make our
burdens light, if we will come to Him.

  1. OH TAMMY!!!! This is sooo true! This is one of the most important concepts we have just recently studied with DAILYLILY from the Scriptures, about “BEING STILL ” AND “WAITING ON THE LORD”. It is most important and wise to do so and MOST DANGEROUS NOT TO!
Thanks for sharing your “revelations” on this.

  2. Tammy, I FEEL what you are saying. The Lord has been putting this on my heart. I need to be still and wait on the Lord. This is very difficult to do. But I know this is what I need to do.I know I don’t have to be a worldly worrier because God’s in control. This retreat has really been a blessing to me. God has put on my heart to be a candle in the darkness. Tammy thanks for your awesome words. Oh yeah, you make a pretty good farmer. Although,we need to work on your farming shoes. Pink flipflops with feathers may not protect your feet. Besides, the rooster may mistake your shoes for a pretty little hen. This could be dangerous.

    1. Chickenfarmer, you sure made some astute observations concerning the effective remarks by Neeldes, the “nursey farmer-girl”. I sure saw a bright glow this week when we encountered your “enactment” of the Gospel , according to “THE FARMER AND THE COW”! If there’s one thing we love it’s a PREACHING COW! Keep up the good work. Sara sure lit some bright candles this week. LET IT SHINE, LET IT SHINE LET IT SHINE!!!!

    2. Chicken Farmer…. a candle in the darkness…..I am sure your patients will agree and your friends…and I know this new fisher does……Youre just going to shine even brighter…..dj

  3. I think this is really awesome….and thank you for sharing…slowing down and being still is so needed and Jesus is just waiting right there for us to come……It really is like you said an AWESOME thing…

  4. Needles, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to share . As I read what you wrote over and over and thinking about those words of Jesus I heard a line from the song ‘What A Friend We Have in Jesus’. The line goes…
‘Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.’
And being in the same yoke with Him…like two oxen yoked together pulling the plow..makes the cultivating easier because he shares the load and leads the way.

  5. Thank you so much for sharing this scripture. I can identify with the hectic life style of having two young children and the busyness that entails. I can also identify with the burdens and stresses of this world that Satan continues to place on us. I remember one day God showed me part of my problem was that I took a bundle of burdens to the Lord but when I hurried back to my life as usual the bundle of burdens or garbage bag got caught around my ankle like a ball and chain on a prisoner. I was carrying that ball and chain (burdens) with me which slowed me down even more and brought more anxiety.
I have to always remember to leave them with the Lord by waiting upon Him instead of hurrying on with life as usual. Thanks for your insightful words. Love, Rena
