Removal for sticky residue from price tags on glassware or plastic
In a well ventilated area spray just a touch of WD40 on the sticky spot, wait a few seconds and with a cloth rub off and then wash spot with a degreaser, dish detergent (dawn, etc.), or all purpose cleaner. That’s it!!!!
Also good for rust removal on pipes or other metals.
Let me know if you have other questions on cleaning or hard to remove stains and spots and I’ll see what I can come up with.
Thought of another tip: To clean microwave and loosen the harden food. Put a boil of water in and bring to a steam and let the steam work to take it off.

Thanks for the tip on sticky residues, Sherm.
How about a key that “all of sudden” doesn’t seem to go into the keyhole or is very difficult or almost impossible to insert in the same keyhole that it has always gone into until “this suddenly” ?
Thanks for an idea concerning this.
taking days to get those things off and breaking a few nails along the way.
Yes, Sherm, I have many many questions on cleaning. How does one get rid of dust and keep it away longer than 2 mins.
Bigger question, how does one get motivated to clean. I talk w/my friends and we all love to have clean homes, churches and schools but it seems like such a big, no major job,
You always make is seem so easy and you surely are an inspiration to many. Thanks for entrusting us with your secrets.
Thanks for this cleaning tip Sherman so I won’t have to ‘scrape’ the label off and rub and rub and get frustrated because it doesn’t want to come off.
Do you have a tip on how to get ink stains out of clothing? I tend to carry around gel pens in my pockets all the time and sometimes they leak (and sometimes I leave them in my pockets by mistake when I wash clothes and then I REALLY have a mess). Thanks.
Rena told me hairspray works well for this. Just spray and go! It works.
How do you get rid of grease spots on clothing and on driveways? Someone told me Coke got rid of it. I look pretty funny popping coke cans and letting them run all over the driveway. Help!
thanks for the steam technique, it worked. Your tips came very timely with my “Retro” mission.
