Not about perfection but connection

Let Love Grow

“Frosty and Friends Sweater Amaryllis Flower Bulb with Stand, No Water Needed, Gift Ready”

“And let us consider each other carefully for the purpose of sparking love and good deeds. Don’t stop meeting together with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near.
—Hebrews 10:24-25 (CEB)

The words “meeting together” and “encourage one another” has great significance for me.

A few years ago about Christmas gift giving time I discovered this little, Amaryllis Flower Bulb, and each year it wears a message sock! I saw the best part for friends that travel and ones with very busy schedules, needs no water! We were still struggling with churches not meeting together partially because of Covid 19. Also, often our friends in the Believer category has moved to various locations and many in Heaven. Yet, our thoughts and love for one another remain. My 🩷 asked how to meet together and encourage one another. And, I discovered the sharing of a Bulb.

As I sit in my home today with snow and ice here and in various other locales where my little bulb gifts have travelled I am having a cup of tea, watching my Amaryllis bloom and connect with a spot light from my view I’m thinking of many of you! I’m drinking from a snowman cup with a message given to me by a friend, MG, now in heaven. I’m offering prayers of praise for those that received my humble bulb gift and cared enough to meet with me around our window sill. One is in Charlotte, NC waiting for snow to clear to get home to Raleigh to enjoy their bloom. No worry, no watering needed. Others with their stories connecting to us by encouraging us. We are meeting together and encouraging one another.

My Cup of Tea and 🙏 for you

What is your “cup of tea” to help others shine! Maybe you have a local church to gather and offer your gift to help others shine. There are so many ways to connect. It’s not about “perfection but connection.”

As BELIEVERS, Mark 16:15: “Go into all the world, and give the good news to everyone.”

Imagine the brightness of “The Light” when we connect to one another in love and deed not looking for perfection!

  1. What a beautiful photo of the amaryllis to look at on this cold winter day! And the blog title couldn’t be more encouraging!

Sara writes, “What is your “cup of tea” to help others shine! Maybe you have a local church to gather and offer your gift to help others shine. There are so many ways to connect. It’s not about “perfection but connection.”

I so appreciate ‘meeting’ here on The Daily Lily, connecting with others; and the opportunities Sara and the Lily provide to encourage and help others. I am also grateful that God has given me my hands and feet to use in order to do, give, and encourage. Sometimes my hands type out responses on the Lily, paint a card, tie a bow, make a floral, pot a plant, etc. Other times my feet transport me to go and do; or apply pressure to the truck’s gas pedal to drive and gather some needed items or run some errands…all in hopes to “encourage each other.”

The two ‘connected’ amaryllis in the photo above resemble a tree to me. That and Sara’s stories of the ‘bulb’ gift for friends, remind me of one of my favorite scriptures: “The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life…” Proverbs 11:30.

    1. Debi, your sharing the gifts God has given you to share with the body of Christ brings many beauty spots. A Bow for a gift given is a sweet visual that may help the  receiver tie in their own gift bow to connect. Paint a card to send a message to ones near and dear as well as far and dear may enter the soul and give fuel for the soul. And, I think your greatest gift is being faithful to pray for those that are placed in your prayer wheel.

If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part gets the glory, all the parts celebrate with it. You are the body of Christ and parts of each other.”

      —1 Corinthians 12:26-27 (CEB)

      And Debi mentions part of this below passage as one of her favorite scriptures which our connecting plant brings to her mind.  I see this scripture  as chicken bone broth soup as comfort for those running outside the  tree root;

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner.”

      ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  2. What a beautiful amaryllis flower, and I just love that “winking” snowman on your tea cup ⛄️ ❄️ 😊I am thankful we have this blog to share with others and hopefully we encourage others to trust in the Lord. 🙏
