Lindsey and I would like to give all of you an update on the ministry this summer to Uganda! We came to The Daily Lily and many others as well along with churches of our community. (see Lindsey on The Daily Lily under Talking Points dated Nov. 13,06). In November ’06, Lindsey extended the invitation to me to be a part of this mission. I without question knew where to go, right to God and my friends and co-labors of The Daily Lily. The trip is coming together so beautifully both in planning and finances. I am so blessed to have the ministry of our little church in Leesburg with our Daily Lily to send me (us) on this mission. It is my goal to represent God and all of you with the very best God has provided me with to bring honor to all of us. As you have read and will hear more about it is teaching teachers and working with the children and women of this nation.
We will be going to Kampala which Lindsey says is a well organized town but the road system isn’t good.
First week – Her Mom will lead meetings on “Grieving” and we will teach the teachers.
Second Week – We will go to Kenya – Her Mom will return to U.S. (marriage). We will go on an African Safari.
Third Week – We will go into the bush and work with the teachers along with Campus Crusade persons from Oauchita University. She said the focus will be on prayer and women helping women.
Hi Rena
We just hung up the phone, and I really was so very blessed to have that time in conversation with you. It is so good to hear your voice and to sense your spirit as the Lord is preparing you for this ministry. Thank you so much for being willing to take this step of obedience….I’m so excited! I just wanted to give you a couple of dates for you to jot down in case they get misplaced from this past conversation.
February 16-18 : Planning weekend in Dallas, TX
We will be staying at homes throughout the area, so don’t worry about hotel accommodations.
July 14 – August 4: Uganda!!!
I’ll be providing you guys with the specifics of the itinerary and the breakdown of how each week will be spent during our weekend together, but hopefully this will help give you a few guidelines for planning purposes. Again, I just can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to being a part of this work of God with you. I hope you have a beautiful night, and I will talk to you soon!
In His love,
Lindsey
As all of my friends of the Daily Lily know my part started with our retreat in NC on farming. Oh, my, would one ever have imagined how God can open doors we didn’t even know existed or could be possible. But, as we are seeing the results from our retreat July ’06. God works fast July ’07 off to Uganda with my retreat partners right beside me in thought, love and prayer as I go.
I am taking The Daily Lily world Web with me…He’s got the whole World Wide Web in His Hands…(and the Whole Wide World, too).
Love Rena
Lindsaey
Wow, thank you so much to all of you for extending such a warm welcome to me and for expressing such abundant support and encouragement in what God is doing. Itβs so exciting to hear so many of you respond so quickly and wholeheartedly in an act of support of what He is leading me to do. Thank you a million times over for being so kind. (excerpt from Lindsey’s blog to us).

With fervent excitement, we joyously uphold the plans and purposes and focus of what Rena and Lindsey and the others of the team will be doing for the Lord in the nations of the world. Psalm 68 implies that we who remain at home base, who pray and intercede and contribute and support the work of the KINGDOM that these brave women will be doing in the nations….then we who are faithful to all this, will also share in the spoils of the harvest of souls, so that when they are presented before our KING, we shall be included in that great reward of having been a part of bringing those souls into the HEAVENLY KINGDOM.
How very exciting to receive this update from you and Lindsay on the Uganda trip! Rena you mentioned that your part started with Retreat ’06, “The Dance of Healing-The Ultra-Healing Spirit Comes from within”. It has been beautiful to see your dance unfold and develop. Sara’s instruction to us in Step 1 of ‘The Dance’ echoed in my mind about you….”so let’s begin 1-2-1-2 and dance our way right into the heart of the matter.” You did. Lindsay even commented above on your ‘step’ of obedience. Sara told us in that first lesson to visualize and behold God’s garden all over the earth. Now the visualization will become a reality and you will be a part of helping to bring that healing to His garden of women and children in Uganda. The last step in “The Dance” was about gleanings of the harvest and asked the question: “Where would you like to go from this place diffusing the fragrance of Love?” How quickly, you pointed out, that He opened doors. You will be dancing into Uganda soon, diffusing the fragrance of hope for the grieving and carrying the ‘Ultra-Healing Spirit Within”. May God’s blessings be on every step of preparation.
Oh how Glorious, and blessed are the seeds you now hold and are taking with you and which will be planted in the lives of those women and children for the kingdom of God….Oh the Glory and His presence and His divine protection over you all as you go “Trumpeting Faith, Giving Hope, and Serving Others with Love” in ministry to Uganda…it is so exciting to be a supporting part of this and such a blessing to see Gods love through this Web site and you flowing to the Nations of the world…dj
Singing praises to “The King of Kings”! What a wonderful thing God is doing for the children and women of Uganda by sending you Rena, and Lindsey’s team. This alone shows how God loves those children and women by hand picking a “Woman of Character” with your skills and devotion to your faith to reach across the globe and care.
You and Oprah are looking like twins in many ways. She’s got the love and money and you’ve got the love, money, skill, and teaching skill with faith teaching all wrapped tight in one. Oprah sure needs you in working with the great work she is doing in Africa as well.
My prayers, finances, love and support will be going with you.
I am so touched by the thought that Lindsey’s Mother can go and teach on grieving and come back and then get married the next week or so. She has surely won my heart and support. What another amazing women and to think you will get to walk with her, talk with her and share with her. And with her devotion to God look what He has given her, a daughter, Lindsey that makes the world shine. Blessings to ALL as we go in a larger team than just the ground crew. π We are with all of you.
I cannot help but be excited, not only for you Rena and the team, but just imagining what the Lord has in store for the poor souls, those who feel helpless, hopeless, discouraged, disillusioned by poverty, sickness and disease. And Yet GOD! He is sending HIS messengers with the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL to minister, to deliver those whom He is calling into His Kingdom from “far away places with strange sounding names.” Isaiah 42 says, ” I the Lord have called thee in righteousness and will hold thine hand and keep thee and GIVE THEE FOR A COVENANT TO THE PEOPLE for a light unto the Gentiles….TO open the blind eyes,to bring out the prisoners from the prison and they that sit in darkness, out of the prison houses.”
What a commission and a mandate. To those who are obedient and faithful, you will eat of the harvest of souls that will be coming forth from this great rendering. And just think of the miracles that God is preparing for those people that aren’t yet aware that He has a great PLAN for them which is about to be executed!!!! Praise God~
Oh what joybells will be ringing throughout the heavens as this modern-day BOOK OF ACTS goes into action.!!!
Book of Acts, this reminds me of our Sunday Teachings by Pastor Gary on The Book of Acts. He is going through chapter by chapter and bringing a vivid live motion picture to our little church week after week. I so enjoy
Pastor’s Gary’s teachings and I am reminded so many times on the words he had spoken to Rena some years ago encouraging her “in Rena’s preparation for teaching children and teachers.” Words in action. It is always thrilling to see Acts coming forth in the life of the church through God’s Saints. God’s Word ask us to pray for the saints everywhere, pray for His children everywhere. John 3:16 reminds us of the ‘love’ foundation of our Faith. Why, we leave the comfort of our homes and go. Why we laid aside our every little want and desires and give, go, do. (not just nations but home, community, right where we are, only matters that we are obedient to God’s calling). Many of us like to sit on the side line and talk, and not go. Many say they pray, but at their convenience, many say they go but when they have finished all else which very seldom is ever finished in today’s market. (I place myself there all too many times).
We all know the story well. God has never changed His mind, thoughts, ideas and love toward His people and that is all the world. ALL! Rena you heard the Pastor 20 years ago and you have been walking in it, continue to walk, run and into the many Nations you will go.
