Have you heard pictures are worth a thousand words! I think this one just might be. Each word I want to say about it seems wrong, right and then wrong! Guess I will skip Charlie, Linus and Snoopy and try Beaver. “Leave it to Beaver.” HELP!

Hmmm I see what you mean, Sara. Snoopy might not have read what Jesus said about publicans & tax collectors. I mean….about the people who love only those who love them…”If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much.”
But we can’t blame Snoopy, too much. Some of us might have to look at our own “dance program” & check up on it!
Any way I break the two parts of the statements in the picture down, I think they ask for some tough self-examination of motives.
“Some of us might have to look at our own “dance program” & check up on it!”
“I think they ask for some tough self-examination of motives.” Good points!
“I’m too busy loving the people who love me”………sure is easy isn’t it?
Do you think Beaver would ask Wally for some wisdom here? I can hear Beaver now……..”Gee, Wally, why am I spending time worrying about who doesn’t like me, when I have all those who love me?”
Tammy, I see you remember the shows well! I watched both these shows for years with great delight and I guess their philosophy of life is a ‘mirror of ageless wisdom’ to be reckoned with.
The cracked mirror philosophy seem to ask me; “are you really loving those that love you? Or, are you spending their time of the negative behavior of another because it soothes the ego/emotion that runs around with fear, self-pity and dread.”
Hey all, this reminds me of the mirrors I have that when normal I can’t see much anymore without glasses, but 5x’s the power gives me a view that maybe I don’t want to see. I kinda like just 2x’s magnified and no glasses. Gives me a lovely glow….ha, or so I think! Whee, Charlie, Linus, Snoopy and Beaver way over my head!
Sara, I’m thinking maybe we better leave Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, and Beaver alone and check with……”FATHER KNOWS BEST”?
That’s a good one Tammy!
Yeah, Tammy, Good One!!
Having some fun with old TV shows & cartoon on “Funny” this blog inspired the following:
Maybe some of us should “GET SMART” & ensure that we will eventually have “HAPPY DAYS” . Why?? Because, we “HAVE BIBLE WILL TRAVEL” and remembering [as Tammy advised us] that FATHER KNOWS BEST and we know that nothing is “MISSION IMPOSSIBLE to our GOD so we continue to “DREAM OF JESUS”, remain “ALL IN THE FAMILY” of the living God, and know that in the end we will inherit a great “BONANZA” !
Cool, MG!
We watch Beaver every morning while I make breakfast! And I never ever miss a Charlie Brown special! Ever! Father Knows Best was on Netflix and we watched all of them and loved it! Also, Twilight Zone with not so hidden meanings and Thriller with Boris Korloff and of course, Gilligan’s Island 🙂
Dawn, you have put me in the Zone! I wonder how much of my life is wrapped and tied in those shows. My sons were surfers so I would take them to our beach Condo for the summer to practice their craft and mine to gaze upon the sun. We all knew when Gilligan Island and my favorite M.A.S.H. would visit us. This is really giving me a laugh. Thanks for the memories!
