I’m Willow

“The entire spectrum of color is always present in the light all around us. Rain doesn’t create rainbows; rain reveals the colors that are already present in the atmosphere. This color spectrum is usually hidden from our sight and only revealed under special conditions. In the same way, we may have moments of insight and revelation that reveal to us—or at least suggest to us—the presence of the Divine that is often hidden but no less real.” Christopher Maricle, “Growing in God”

Hi, My name is Willow, today Lady Landlord allowed me to have show and tell in class. So here we go! Our scripture from Big Book to give us eyes is found in Genesis 9:16. As you can see in my photo I am busy seeing and I have discovered the truth from author, Maricle, which I’v published for you. Hope you are beginning to see the Divine revealed.

One more thing, [After seeing the risen Christ,] “Mary went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord, and this is what he said to me” (John 20:14–18).

  1. Nice to meet you Willow. I love the statement shared:

“The presence of the Divine that is often hidden but no less real.” Christopher Maricle, “Growing in God”
Like you I hope I’m beginning to see the Devine revealed also.

You referenced Also John 20: 14-18
At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was
He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

Mary had a very close relationship with Jesus. Interesting she didn’t recognize Him at first, BUT when Jesus called her by name, she knew it was Jesus immediately. In John 10:27 it says”My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me… My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me…

The Devine revealed to Mary by Jesus calling out her name.

    1. Hi Willow, welcome to the dailylily. It is a pleasure to have you join us. I love your name. Your name makes me think of one of my favorite trees, the “weeping willow.”I can still remember what my grandmother told me when I told her this was one of my favorites. She thought these trees looked sad, but I think they are beautiful. I found this on line and thought interesting:(do you know if this is accurate information?) “For centuries the bark of the willow has been used as a medicine and it is from the willow bark that aspirin was first extracted. In Scripture, the willow is always associated with a brook or river, that is, with a perpetual source of nourishment and supply.”

      1. I would like to add to Rena’s comment above: John 10: 28-30(NLT) says: “ I gave them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The father and I are one.” The footnotes for verses 28-29 says: “ Just as a shepherd protects his sheep, Jesus protects his people from eternal harm. While believers can expect to suffer on earth, Satan cannot harm their souls or take away their eternal life with God. There are many reasons to be afraid here on earth because this is the devil’s domain (1Peter 5:8). But if you choose to follow Jesus, he will give you everlasting safety.”

      2. We bunny bundles love footnotes Ms Tammy. Now I’m going to tell you an old wise tale but don’t get scared like it’s bad, it’s good and funny for nature lovers. It’s been said for over a century people carry with them a foot from a rabbit wherever they go😍 Why? A rabbit’s foot is carried for good luck.🍀🍀🍀🍀

God even talks about having big ears? Or is it good ears? Or since Dr Luke said it maybe it’s healthy ears? Nurse Tammy, What does those big footnotes say about these ears?

“Some fell into good soil, and when it grew, it produced a hundredfold.” As he said this, he called out, “Let anyone with ears to hear listen!”🍀🍀🍀🐚🐚🐚🐓🐏🌻
        —Luke 8:8 (NRSV)

      3. “Nurse Tammy, What does those big footnotes say about these ears?” Well, I went searching for the footnotes for verse 8, in the good doctor’s Book🧐….. but I only saw footnotes for verse 5 and verse 10. 😱🤔 Thanks for sharing the old wise tale. Hay, wonder who comes up with all the old wise tales? 🤔 😌

  2. Hey Willow, you topped the grade scale on your “show and tell.” Looks like Ms O caught the vision and gave the divine revelation. Good job!

Willow, you are ear-resistible and you and your bunny class fill us with hoppy-ness! 💛💛💛💛 Lady Landlord

    1. Help needed class! Nurse Tammy has no footnotes for Luke 8:8 to help us know if we have the proper ears for this?

And, class whisper this down the line. Well, turn your volume up a bit with 6ft and mask blocking clarity at times. Ms nurse T wants to know where/who old wise tales originate from? Lot of thinking here. Just as I was about to hop under a big leaf away from the rain Lady Landlord just had to add this for my pocket notes.

“We are the gardeners of the tree of our soul. No other person can increase the size and depth of the circle in which our tree must grow. We must do it. Through the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we can fill that space with the soil of humility and establish the roots of compassion.“ Christopher Maricle

      1. Willow, you asked for class help to LL’s question, “help us know if we have the proper ears for this?”

Here is some help I think I found as I looked through Luke 8 for more info on ears. It looks like our ears are connected to our hearts and the condition that they are in; and how we respond to what we hear with them.
Luke 8:15 tells us: “And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.”

I think this may also relate to what LL added to your “pocket notes” from Christopher Maricle. He said, “No other person can increase the size and depth of the circle in which our tree must grow”.

Have you ever looked at a trunk of a tree that has been cut down? It is made up of circles or rings. Each circle represents one year of growth. The circle tells us a lot about what went on in the life of the tree that year. If the space between circles in one year is wide, that means the tree flourished from good nutrients and water and other conditions. If the space in one year is small, the tree struggled…maybe from drought, stress or disease. If the circle is dark, the tree probably went through a fire…but survived and continued to press on in its growth…with each circle growing bigger each year.

On your other question, “Ms nurse T wants to know where/who old wise tales originate from? “
I am guessing that “wise” is the clue. So maybe they originate from a wise seer or sage who understands a connection between the visible and the divine and is able to articulate it with an illustration or story.

      2. Thanks Teacher Ms Debi, you drew circles in circles to math or morph us into one mind. LL dialed into the circles with her gift of seeing and found a walking trail of truth to map out the foot steps to follow. Apostle Peter wrote out instructions for us.
“Finally, all of you be of one mind, sympathetic, lovers of your fellow believers, compassionate, and modest in your opinion of yourselves.”
        —1 Peter 3:8 (CEB)

  3. Hi Willow, I am so glad you are in The Daily Lily class! It is great to see you and I love your name. It is the same as a beautiful tree that loves to live near streams.

Psalm 1:3 “He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

By the content of your show and tell, your seeing and searching, it seems you are well on your way to living such a prosperous life!

So glad to read up on what Ms O and LLL wrote also…it sure helps to understand what you are trying to get us to see.

I also liked how you signed your name. The caterpillar and the leaf caught my attention because they seemed to tie in to your message, “the Divine revealed”. I have been observing some caterpillars on my garden plants. They don’t look too beautiful or colorful. In fact many have a lot of green in them like the leaves they are eating holes in! But then one day I come to the garden and see a brief moment of a beautiful butterfly with brilliant colors flying happily from flower to flower…then off into the air currents. The colors were all there somewhere in that caterpillar but not visible to my eye. That is, not until the caterpillar went through ‘special conditions’ and turned into a butterfly. It sure looked like a glimpse of the “Divine Revealed”.

I went back to study a little from LLL’s writings in “Come, Sit, Reason and Chat” and thought what she shared there related to what you shared from “Christopher Maricle, “Growing in God”. LLL said,

    “You are a promise🎶
    You are a possibility
You are a promise with a capital “p”
You are a great big bundle of potentiality…”

  4. Willow, as I read what LLL wrote, Psalm 8: 1 and then went to read more of this Psalm, I saw that the heavens, the moon and stars are the “work of your fingers” (vs 3). That seemed to be another example of “the presence of the Divine that is often hidden but no less real.”

I looked the picture of you out there in the sunshine around those plants and thought…the sun is shining because we see it and see how it affects the plants. But we can’t see the moon or the stars. But that doesn’t mean they are not real and there somewhere up in the heavens. We are just not in the position or time period to see them. I bet when you go out in the early morning or late evening you can see them then.

Our Creator really is sovereign and majestic as LLL said.

  5. O Willow, Lady Landlord gave us Psalms 8: 1 “How Majestic is Your Name in All the Earth”. We see God’s finger print is on everything as Debi said. Why? for us! His LOVE is so great we cannot fathom the depth of such LOVE. He loves us so that He sent His only begotten son to Earth to pay the debt of sin we each owe. He finds each of us just as we are, broken vessels due to sin.

(Song: “Just As I Am by Marshall Jackson:
Just as I am, without one plea
but that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee
O Lamb of God, I come! I come)

(Song: Singin’ Majesty, Majesty By Michael W. Smith

Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed but alive in Your hands
We’re singing Majesty, we’re singing Majesty
Forever, forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty
    We’re singing Majesty, Majesty
Your grace, Your grace has found me just as I am
    ……
Forever I am changed by Your love
In the presence of Your Majesty
We praise You, lift up a new song
Oh we praise You Lord, we bless Your name
You are the Father, You are the Father
Oh, we love You, we love You, we love You,
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah)

By faith we believe Jesus is our Savior – Divine, Majestic

(Song: How Great Thou Art by Carrie Underwood
    Chorus:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.)

    1. Ms Rena, you are enjoying singing to clear the mind of useless thoughts. Have you ever noticed yourself in you upper chest wanting to release a pressure by springing the mouth to tarnish the earth. Then your modest self wrestles for the tongue and out comes the praise songs you just printed.

I asked LL about this and she says oh yes, get your praise fight on because it’s a part of light to fight because, “2 Corinthians 11:14 says, “… for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

  6. “…the presence of the Divine that is often hidden but no less real.”

Willow, I bet you have been doing some hiding in this heat wave…but that does not mean that you are not real!

I was reviewing some of the things you shared with us and was reminded that LLL wrote about the rainbow and the promises from Genesis 9:16 in one of her books, “Dressing for His Glory”. She said, “Clouds of Rain” Bring Showers of Blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26). She also told us how to find some promises, from the Big Book…she said we would have to ‘search’. That sounds like something is hidden and we have to dig to find it. She said there were lots of promises in Psalm 34 and then asked a question and gave an example from verse 17: “What happens when I cry out for help? “The Lord hears and delivers me out of distress and trouble.”

Thanks for keeping us looking for things “hidden from our sight”, Willow. Hope you stay cool in hiding.
