“Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth!”

“Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! You let your glory be seen in the heavens above. With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless. I often think of the heavens your hands have made, and of the moon and stars you put in place. Then I ask, “Why do you care about us humans? Why are you concerned for us weaklings?” You made us a little lower than you yourself, and you have crowned us with glory and honor. You let us rule everything your hands have made. And you put all of it under our power— the sheep and the cattle, and every wild animal, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and all ocean creatures. Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭9‬ ‭CEV‬‬

  1. Nicole’s photo beautifully illustrates the title for this blog, “Our Lord and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth!”

Sara asks, “Why do you care about us humans?”

It seems to me that He cares solely because of His love and who He is, Just looking at this one huge body of water in the photo makes me think about Ephesians 3:18 which speaks about the vastness of God’s love…the “width and length and depth and height…” We don’t know how deep that water is, or how wide or how long. Most of us can’t comprehend the height of the sun in the photo (or the stars or moon) from earth.

He must care because He created us for His pleasure, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Rev 4:11); and “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” Col 1:16

The verse in the blog tells us clearly that He is the Ruler. And yet He says, “You let us rule everything your hands have made.” That is a humbling and sobering responsibility; and to be able to do it so He is glorified as THE RULER; and so what we are and do brings praise to Him.
“The people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.” Isaiah.” 43:21

  2. “Why do you care about us humans?”
I just listened to an episode this week, on the Christian radio station, where a fictional story was read about why God would leave the heavens and come to this lowly world.(I’m paraphrasing from what I remember) the answer…… Because He loves us! I’m so thankful Jesus came and does love us!

  3. Debi and Tammy. Thanks for your love view for the world!
My love view of the World to be told and shared.
My world view…brings to my mind tradition of many long years ago when Jesus the Christ was the theme. A story that seems to be frozen in time in many ways about the Priest, King and Judge named Jesus, the Messiah of the world.

    The King, named Jesus.
Let’s take what once was a holiday in parts of the world to celebrate The King’s Birth…

Now this might ring true in many places:

Just a nice day to share family meal and gift one another. Making retail the real king.

I think this Birthday celebration should be renamed in the US and maybe other nations.

Death and grieving, wars and poverty throughout the world takes a toil on jump ropes and hopscotch drawn and skipped in the dirt by little children now adults.

The perfect drawing in the dirt has eternal joy. The Artist snd Creator of the dirt wrote, “go and sin no more.” The creator of water from saliva of the mouth and dirt of the ground opened the eyes of the blind to see clearly.

The bodies of the dead have returned to the soil! But, where did the soul merge for its rest?

Debi quoted from a famous prophet, “The people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.” Isaiah.” 43:21

Tammy’s stories of love and rainbows join with the peoples formed by God give us a vivid picture of The King of all Kings’ The Prirst of the World! And the Judge of our word!

The King’s Word turned water into wine among the hanging of the stars in the sky!

His Blood in Word made the ultimate sacrifice giving a choice for a soul’s rest home!

His bank account or lack thereof failed to provide a brick home in a gated community. He seemed often poor from his Word. He had to speak and multiple the little child’s lunchbox into a feast for the thousands.

Much more to be said because it’s His Word among the living and dead that will remain and survive the returning to dirt!

When we join in a family of world love what does our word say in results?
