Sing, all the earth…

O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord; bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. (Psalm 96:1-2 (NRSV)

Grounds at Balmoral Castle Scotland UK

You will be led out in peace. When you come to the mountains and hills, they will begin singing. All the trees in the fields will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12

  1. What a beautiful photo. It illustrates the scripture verses perfectly. You can almost hear the river singing as if flows over the rocks or the wind whistling through those trees. God’s creation faithfully praises him and knows how to sing a new song as it cycles through His different seasons. What an example for us to follow.

    1. Thanks Debi, I, too, rather enjoy this photo given to me by my granddaughter as she enjoyed playing with sticks among the rocks, water and wind. She sang her tune and danced in the breeze knowing that Kings and Queens and princes and princesses all dwell within the castle and grounds of this Scottish Castle.

What Royal Beauty to behold. But, we, too, that obey God’s Word have taken up residents among the royals.

I Peter 2:9, reminds us that we are royal priest, a chosen people…that we may declare His praises.

      I asked myself this question:

How much is movement emphasized in my worship services, my faith, and my daily life…

I answered for my granddaughter and myself…
Let us praise [God’s] name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre.
      —Psalm 149:3 (NRSV)

  2. What a beautiful picture! Nothing compares to the “handy works of the Lord”, as my grandmother would say. Thanks for sharing the photo that your sweet little grand shared with you Sara.💕Seeing all the beauty, on earth causes one to wonder how much more beauty there could possibly be in heaven? “1Corinthians 2:9 says: Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”💕🙏

  3. “…the [Holy] Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words.” Romans 8:26 (NRSV)

I have wondered if the writer of this scripture understood taking walks in the woods, ? meandering around with toes in the sand by the seaside, ? siting in a garden watching a sunrise? or washing the evenings dishes with tired feet ? and burdens of the day pressing the mind and glancing out the window just in time to see the sun setting for the day?

And, then the Holy Spirit revives my soul again with groanings too deep for words.🎼

  4. As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
    —Colossians 3:12 (NRSV)
