I heard a story today about an 82 year old man going through a Drive through for his lunch. A young lady in car behind him thought old man was slow and starting beeping horn and mouthing what he thought to be not very nice words!
He thought I will pay forward for her meal and he did. As he waited his turn second window to pick up his meal she approached first window and learned about the kindness she had been shown by a free meal. He saw her mouthing, thank you, thank you.
He approached the second window and handed the guy 2 receipts and received both orders. He drove away.
He thought girl best way to learn patience go back through busy line, pay for your lunch and be kind to an older person.

That story, Sara, seems like it ties in to the last blog, “Gracious words are like”…and illustrates what our words ought to be like as well as our corresponding actions…”Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty.”
I sent this to a friend of mine and I thought pretty classy solution to thoughts on rudeness. I often pause to soak in kindness. Thinking how easy to receive kindness with a gracious response. But, how do I handle rudeness?
She responded: Hooray!
“Such a rewarding story! Everyone who encounters a rude person in line should practice this move!👍”
I want to make sure I understand the above story…….. The older gentleman paid for the rude ladies‘ meal behind him, and then drove away with his meal and her meal for himself……. So that the rude lady could get back in the busy line again, to then pay for her own meal and learn some patience and learn how to be nice to older people? Am I understanding this story correctly? 🤔
