As a mother, I have received the best gift ever, recently. My two boys decided to receive Christ and to obey Him in baptism. What a day of rejoicing for my husband and myself, along with all the angels in heaven! Please help
me pray that God will continue to keep their hearts soft before Him and that they will always be sensitive to His calling on their lives.

What a wonderful gift. We rejoice with you! I do pray for your boys along with Ps 119:10-12…that with their whole hearts they will seek You. Oh let them not wander from Your commandments. May your Word be hidden in their hearts that they might not sin against You. Blessed are You ,O Lord! Teach them Your statutes…let them delight in your statutes and not forget Your word.
Congratulations to the new disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a well-defined gift of God to rear righteous children in a godly home. How Wonderful! “May your children be disciples taught of the Lord and great may be their peace, understanding and undisturbed composure.” (Is. 54:13)
That your sons hearts will continue to be soft before Him (God Almighty) and …Psalm 119:10-16…with their whole heart they will continue to seek Him and not wander from His commandments..that His word will be hide in their hearts, and that they might not sin against Him…that their lips will declare all the judgements of His mouth…and that they rejoice in His testimonies, as much as in all riches. that they will meditate on His precepts, and contimplate His ways…that they will delight themselves in His statutes and forget not His word…(bless them O Lord and cause them to be always sensitive to Your calling on their lives and cause their ears to be sensitive to Your voice…cause them to be aware with action)!…In Jesus name…dj
Needles, made us aware of how important it is to pray for the children and especially those close to us and in our Christian family. How blessed we all are to be a part of the baptism of N/N symbolizing purification and regeneration and admission to the Christian Church. These two wonderful bright exciting children we have in our very own family. My cousin Becky sent me this 5 figure prayer today with a pricture of an elderly woman praying for the children. It sure does give us a rosary of sorts to sort and pray for our beloved Christian Family.
This also brings to my mind the importance of doing all we can and then stand for all of our families to become a part of this wonderful and eternal family of God.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a “sweet duty.”
2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.
3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God’s guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.
5. And lastly comes our little finger – the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, “The least shall be the greatest among you.” Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.
Needles,my daughter, Mesa, had come over to visit on Friday, and she’s a mother of two boys, one 9 years and one 11 months, and we walked through the articles on the Daily Lily together. I know when she visits again and sees this article it will bring her (my daughter) great encouragment and joy when its time for her sons to be baptised…and I pray and ask others to pray that my two grandsons will have this same great faith walk as yours…dj
I do ask Dorothy that your grandsons will have that same great faith walk. I thought that Hebrews 13:20 was a beautiful prayer to pray for them. “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make them complete in every good work to do His will working in them what is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen”
Needles,
I know your heart is so full of joy. Your precious boys just took the most important step of their lives. What an awesome day for you and your family. You can almost hear the angels singing as each of your beautiful boys came up out of the water. I will continue to pray for you and your family. I pray your boys will go out and touch lives.I pray the Lord bless each of you. Thank you Jesus for these precious gifts from heaven. Each child is a gift from heaven. May these boys do God’s will all of their days on this Earth. AMEN!!!!!
Tammy, we agree with you and Chris in this prayer for your sons.
Today, I think of a very good friend of mine and ways to honor his birthday and this is one of the ways we all can Honor our good friend Jack by praying for his grandsons that he so loves.
If I had one guess I think I would get it right about the whereabouts of Grandfather and grandsons. Let me try, hunting club on the first day of hunting season for Jack’s Birthday.
Happy Birthday Jack and I thank your daughter for letting me wish you Happy Birthday here because if I call you I know you will not be happy since you might just be spotting a deer about now.
Congratulations to your sons for making the biggest step of their lives, a choice to get on board with Jesus. Lord we would ask that you direct their steps daily and surround and protect them wherever they may go. Lord may you see them through each experience in their lives. May their journey lead them to grow and mature into men who know that they are unique, put here to serve you, and carry a light that shines brillantly before men so that there is no doubt that they stand and withstand with Jesus at their sides. Congratulations guys!!! May JOY always be with you, or J-ESUS O-VER Y-OU all the days of your life.
