DON’T FORGET TO VOTE

Let us NOT forget to ‘VOTE’ Tuesday, November 7, ’06! Tell the Whole Wide World by your Vote. It is important to vote because you are important and your opinions are important and along with your blogging and comments here, your Vote counts.

Many blessings to each of you today, your families and our great Nation,

  1. I heard a rather strange comment on a talk back station this afternoon that made me wonder. The person said the he did not vote because “he didn’t have to.” He cited other nations where you are fined or imprisoned if you do not vote but in America you don’t HAVE to vote, SO HE DOESN’T!. Ok! Never thought of it that way, I suppose. There’s an old proverb that says, ‘you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.’ I guess it is reminiscent of Christ’s salvation. Jesus died for everyone, to set man free from sin and to offer eternal life for whosoever will, from the beginning of time till there is no time. And yet there are myriads of souls who will not accept the great privelege that JESUS has afforded them; well, maybe because they really “don’t have to”. It’s a free gift, a privelege but there is no LEGALITY attached to it.
Whenever I walk into the voting booth, I feel such a hush of the SPIRIT of the Living GOD with me. I always get choked up a bit because it is such an important and precious right attained for us through the blood and tears of our forefathers of bygone eras right down to the present conflicts where our young men and women are fighting for the cause of freedom. Just as Christ shed His blood to gain freedom for us, “whom the Son sets free is free indeed.”
Yes, we are blessed in this nation to be able to vote for our leaders
and to exercise that right is a testimony to those who fought and died acquie and retain this freedom. In my heart, I dare not “veto voting” It is precious and priceless.

    1. Well, maybe I should have said Don’t forget to vote if you plan to and not don’t forget to vote.

I really did mean it in the right spirit. If you plan to vote remember this is the day.

I am glad that we have this freedom. I can sure appreciate those whom did not want to vote in this election as well as others. I sure felt that way on certain days.

Since I being one that had the opportunity to vote in Northern Virgina and my particular county it is bringing home the importance on every vote counts. Our votes in Vriginia are still too close to call and may have to have a recount because of a few votes. And, holding the United States Sentate in ?’s. All because of a few votes in Virginia.

      1. Sara, you reminded us on November 6 (the day BEFORE the election)that ‘your vote counts’. How right you were!
