With the celebration of the birth of Jesus we are reminded that God
bridged the gap between us and Him with the birth of his Son, Jesus.
In the Old Testament it was prophesied according to Isaiah 9:7:
Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will
reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of
the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
According to our pastor the later part of this verse is often overlooked.
The ZEAL of the Lord will accomplish this. According to the dictionary,
zeal means eagerness and ardent interest in pursuit of something. God was
so eager to bridge the gap between Him and us. He was filled with zeal that
His plan was finally going to take place to make it possible to bring about
relationship with us. Jesus was the plan to bridge a relationship between
us and Him. He first told the shepherds who were the least desirous of
people in that time period. He was joyous in telling them. This tells me
that He wants a relationship from everyone. It doesn’t matter what your
status is in life. In sending Jesus, he sent the one who died on the cross
and is the bridge, the door, the connector to God. God’s JOY was finally
realized with sending His SON.
This season no package will truly bring happiness to our lives forever. We
will tire of the gift, its beauty will fade, its advertised promises will
not make us happy, or it will grow old and end up on the trash heap. The
gift of LIFE and a relationship with Father God is the only thing that will
bring true JOY this holiday season. Jesus was born of the virgin Mary in
Bethlehem in the form of a baby named Jesus. Jesus is the special package
of JOY which keeps giving and giving of LIFE. Merry CHRISTmas

Jesus is Eternal and He is our gift and I am so thankful for Him and His pure love to us.
I agree that no package truly brings happiness to our lives forever. It is only the assurance that The Gift lives inside of ones’ life that brings a true fullness. Anything less is body walking around as an empty package.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10)
That gives joy.

The Very Best Package
I heard a wonderful revelation the other day from a TV teacher who said that the LORD revealed this to him; That after The LORD GOD had created all things and gave them to “man” who lost all God had given, there was only ONE thing left to give. AND WHEN HE GAVE JESUS CHRIST there was NOTHING MORE, there is NOTHING MORE, there will be NOTHING MORE to give. God has given us EVERYTHING when HE gave us CHRIST. THERE IS NO MORE…because CHRIST IS EVERYTHING.
I had never quite looked at it that way. I supposed that there’s Heaven and all its amazement, etc. and that there will be more. But I now see thru this that we ALREADY have EVERYTHING that GOD HAS EVER HAD OR WILL EVER HAVE because we HAVE JESUS CHRIST.
WOW !!! WHAT A GIFT! This is TRULY the gift that keeps on giving and unfolding and magnifying and exponentially increasing and yet it is ALL CHRIST!!!
