Mrs. Arabie, my former principal, came by to ask me to present a lesson to be filmed by Chanel 13 (Educational Station here) on HOLES. I have to give the introduction to the lesson and then they will come back and film the end of the lesson. I’m glad to have about six weeks to make sure the students know what to do.
When God sends the rain, it really pours. This is one of three blessings God is bringing forth in our ministry in ’07. The first one is Uganda as I just wrote all of you about. The second one is about my TV work and the third is to be revealed soon. Sara always said we are still a team even miles apart and even Nations apart. I think on our little sanctuary with great big beautiful flags from the Nations hanging and oh, how we pray, sing and long to be part of what God is doing in the Nations. When I see myself in La., some of you in NC and Va and other states and yet we are making a fighting team for Jesus, it really does as Wendy told us to do. “Walk up!” Thanks again my friends and prayer partners of The Daily Lily.

Yea, Rena! Our Rena, a movie star!! You go, girl! Your many years of loving labor among the beautiful children God sends to your classroom has brought forth a bountiful harvest of blessings. Not only are the children blessed by a teacher of excellence but now you get to share with others of your profession on a much wider basis, via the media. And yet an even greater blessing is at hand; going to the nations of the world to TEACH teachers how to present the GOSPEL, the GOOD NEWS of the Lord Jesus Christ!! I think of Jesus’ words in the Gospel of Matthew where He says, “And the Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto ALL NATIONS and THEN shall the end come.” But Paul says, in Romans 10:13-14, “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved” But there is a challenge, here! 14)”How then shall they call on the HIM in Whom they have NOT believed? And how shall they believe in HIM of Whom they have NOT heard? And how shall they hear WITHOUT A PREACHER who is sent unto them to teach the Gospel of the Living God?”
So Rena, God is using you and your team to fulfill the Scriptures that cannot be reversed. To go to the nations as a testimony and a witness of the salvation of the LORD. What a privelege to serve the living GOD in this capacity.
God bless you and keep you and we pray for favor and safety and success and souls, souls, souls for the KINGDOM OF GOD.
Congratulation Rena! I know you have been honored as “Teacher of the Year” maybe more than once. Plus many other honors. So many, in fact, that I am not able to keep count of them. God called you, you answered the call and you have stayed focused. You have walked the walk and talked the talked! You are well prepared and well equipment to walk in any door that God opens for you. And the part I am loving the most about you now is that you are always so willing to take others with you which is so biblical and pleases our Lord.
I need to start thinking of you like a ‘horse race’ and you are gaining on me :). Got to find a way to stop that!
When we reach the BEMA seat I sure don’t want you in the front running. I do thank God for all the doors He is opening for your gift. The Word says, ‘our gift will make a way for us.” You sure have proven that and it would be beneficial to all of us to make sure we know our gift, use our gift for Him and when He opens the doors, walk in. As the song we sing so often says “I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God.” May I add my prayers loud and clear and ask God to open more and more doors for you as you step up to the plate. PS My family sends their congratulations to you as well. We are all proud of you as we share your success around our dining table. What a lovely tool you are for our great communication skills. You have always, for more years than I want to omit been a friend to all of us in the good times and in the bad times. Very seldom seen in one’s life time. May God pour pour pour into your life so you can continue to pour into the children and women of the world.
Rena you are an inspirational example that we can all learn from. I know that over the years you have been a diligent student of Sara’s teachings and books and I see in your life the payoff. You illustrate her
“Dressing for His Glory – On Pursuing Excellence” because you are a rose that unfolded in your determination to pursue excellence (Chapter 1). You were ‘willing and obedient and you are eating of the fruit of the land'(CH 4, Isiah 1:18-19); and you mentioned yourself that ‘when God sends the rain it really pours”…you are proof of Chapter 6, “Clouds of Rain Bring Showers of Blessing”.
I have heard it said that our life is a book for others to read. You are truly dressed for success…”Dressed for His Glory”. How wonderful you will soon be televised for others to learn because you are teaching in your element. Honors go to both you and Sara who taught you in her element.
Rena You are a blessing full of blessings….and to see how God is using you and to know that you have so yielded your life to Him that He can move and flow in and around you as He pleases really does bring encouragement and hope just as The Daily Lily was born to do……I know you have gone through so much and then with Katrina hitting your state …and you remainded steadfast and focused on the call of your life…what an example…a living epistle…filled with the Word of Life…bringing life abundantly…and hope..Its only the begining…all who read this site..need to stay tuned and logged on to recieve the latest from what God is doing through Rena and others in this “Village of the Lilies”.. check out the childrens site…these are the children Rena is teaching..see the work that is and has been done in the writings of these children Grace and Toto..that is what those who will see the tv lesson will have a taste of..and what Uganda will be recieving …..because it is a Daily Happening in and through Rena and the people of God.
