While going through some old journals recently I found this poem, which I wrote in 2003. This poem from my heart was inspired by Sara’s teachings, workshops and retreats from her writings on the ‘Dance of Healing.’ Even after this experience in 2003, I again went through her retreat in 2006 on ‘The Dance of Healing’ with a different creative group, different state but the teachings from the heart of God taught and led by Sara. I have and would and will continue to search and seek Sara’s writings and teachings by making an appointment with God to schedule, travel and to walk through this teaching and others that Sara brings to us through her creative work. Sara has the art of communication and as she has taught and shown us many times without communication our creative work will fail to develop or succeed.
I hope that many will know that they are worth the WAIT. I can only write this because He waited on me.
I bent low to the Lord
when I was but a child
I knew he was here
I heard his voice in the Word
and I believed.
Oh how I loved Jesus
I loved the flowers
the sky and trees–
His handiwork, my creator

Years went by
Our relationship was put aside by me
Many duties and responsibilites called out
Oh yes, I still prayed occasionally
Read the Word scatterly
Thus I left my Jesus’s side to dance with the things of life
I felt empty and despaired of life
I had left my partner, Jesus, behind
Where was my Jesus?
I began to search and search
As I looked up, there he stood with folded arms
Looking straight at me
Not taking His gaze from my face
Lord I miss you
My child are you ready to dance with me
Lord, I don’t know how
Stand on my feet and I’ll teach you the true Dance of Life
Step, by Step, by Step
For I love you my child
Lord how long have you been standing there
I’ve been waiting since you left me my child
Oh Lord, that’s been a long time
You are worth the wait my child

Mrs. O what a wonderful poem. It speaks to me. You taught me the true dance of life. Now we must teach others. You are a wonderful teacher of God.
Grace
Rena, you are and were worth the wait for God. God is so merciful and has given us Grace for the receiving.
The Dance of Healing which opens the window for all that receive to have the gift of healing. God is Holy and He has given the gift of holiness to us. The root word for heal, health, whole and holy is ‘hale.’
hale 1 |hāl| adjective (of a person, esp. an elderly one) strong and healthy : only just sixty, very hale and hearty. ORIGIN Old English , variant of hāl [whole.] hale 2 verb [ trans. ] archaic drag or draw forcibly : he haled an old man out of the audience. ORIGIN Middle English : from Old French haler, from Old Norse hala.
Thesaurus
hale adjective fair weather and a hale crew healthy, fit, fighting fit, well, in good health, bursting with health, in fine fettle, strong, robust, vigorous, hardy, sturdy, hearty, lusty, able-bodied; informal in the pink, as right as rain. antonym unwell.
God has given us the gift to wholeness in mind, spirit and body through His holiness. The Word tells us to be holy for He is holy.
Thank you Rena for being whole, healthy, hale and hearty and bringing forth Light into the world so all can see. You are dancing Cuma Lauda! Just keep it up.
Oh Rena, your poem, inspired by the DANCE OF HEALING WORKSHOP/SEMINAR that Sara brought and continues to bring to us through her inspirational workings and many other books and teachings, is wonderful!
I remember her workshops, retreats and meetings, especially on THE DANCE OF HEALING wherein she encouraged us and challenged us to discover and define our giftings and observe the healing of the soul and mind and spirit develop within as we allowed Holy Spirit to
bring out our callings. How exciting the discoveries that were made and honed and polished through the years under her guidance and in the WORD.
In the “seer” qualities that is Sara’s singular gift, with its concomitant blessings, she has inspired, encouraged, cajoled, exhorted us to find our healing through the application of the Word of God and the administering of our gifts. You, Rena, have reached one of the pinnacles of victory that the LORD has for you, in your teaching of children, in your intercessory work and your writings.
How absolutely delightful to partake of the fruit of your labors, resulting from the anointed input of Sara,a teacher, and friend of GOD>
Rena your poem reminds me of a song Sara wrote in 1991 entitled “Jesus is Waiting There”. Here is an excerpt:
Verse 1 speaks of leaving Jesus side as you said above:
“There are so many that have crossed the road
They’ve crossed the road to their wealth, or so they say;
But they have missed the path,
The path the Savior walked to endure, to endure to the last.”
And the last verse tells of Him waiting for you to return to your dance with Him:
“Look up, look up past the days of gloom,
And let My mourning Dove arise in your heart.
You’ll find I’m there and waiting for your call
Saying, O Jesus, saying O Jesus, saying O Jesus, I want to come home.”
Rena, I have always loved poems, within in them a person can always find a part of their own hearts cry..and within this poem those who read it will indeed find kinship and comfort because the Master says…”you are worth the wait”…such comforting words to know that the Creator of all there is..is there waiting and not just waiting but by His precious Holy Spirit wooing us to Himself…helping us..leading us drawing all who will return…or come to Him…and He is there..and says you are worth the wait…He gave His life for us…even when we were yet in our sin He loved us ….Your poem and your life Rena causes one to see in Living Color (so to speak) the Love of God for mankind…thank you Rena for your yeildedness to the Spirit of the Living God…and for your love of Him and for His people…..dj
