Discovering our gift(s) and using them effectively in the Body of Christ illustrates the beauty of the hands of Jesus, ‘Helping Hands.’ This brings evangelism to the world and builds The Church. Our helping hands express Hope and Faith in God.
When one carries hope in their heart, ‘Hoping Heart’ they fulfill a portion of I Corinthians 13:13 “And now abide, faith, hope, charity (love), these three but the greatest of these is love”. Hope is as important to the heart as heart is to life. Always have a ‘Hoping Heart.’

Holy living ‘Holy Healings’ brings healing to the body and distributes health throughout the universe while keeping the gates of hell from prevailing against the church. ( Matthew 16:18-19 Message) “And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out. And that’s not all. You will have complete and free access to God’s kingdom, keys to open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven.” Holy Living brings Healing to the Body. ‘Holy Healings.’
We have come to understand from Paul’s poetic writings that all three, Faith, hope and love are needed in this life but the only one of the three that is Eternal is love and that is because God is Love. (I John 4:8).
2 Corinthians 5:7 helps us to see how Faith will change in eternity to sight, i.e. our sense of seeing will replace faith. For now our Faith choses to believe God’s word without seeing.
Romans 8: 23-24 NKJV “And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for it?”
Paul in his words to the Roman church wows us into hope, yes, ‘Hoping Hearts.’ Again, hope is not seen, for why should we hope for something that we can see. A Hoping Heart is hoping for something that we do not see with our natural eyes but eagerly wait for with perseverance in our beating hearts.
When we keep our hands busy, ‘Helping Hands ’= Faith, and keep our hearts beating with Hope = ‘Hoping Hearts’, we will find ‘Holy Healings’ = Love (God) and He never fails.
We may be thinking we need to love first. Well, we do, we need to love God first. Why? Because God is Love. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

  1. This article raises some real interesting theological points. First it points out that we need to see that we really are not a dual or triune being. But we are a singular being defined either by body and soul or by body, soul and spirit depending on your point of view. We really are a unity of being. As we see the unity of our being then we see the continuation of our being. The continuation of our being is seen in the hope for the full redemption of our body. The full redemption of our body looks forward to the time when we will not be identified with the struggle to overcome the desires of our physical being. We will be identified as completed sons of God. Meaning that we do not currently know what we will become, but we will become as the first son of God. The hope of Christian living then is to live now so that when we live then we will be a continuation of the life that was given to us when we believed and confessed and lived that Jesus is the son of God.

  2. Then, Gary, are you saying that the “Persons” (Beloved) that
John addressed in 3Jn. 2 where he wrote that he desires that their BODIES prosper even as he knew their SOULS prospered; or in 1THess. 5:23 those to whom Paul wrote, ” may your SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY be preserved sound and COMPLETE and found blameless at the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”… Are you saying that although two and three parts of “being” are mentioned by John and Paul…those persons (and we, too), are actually, really one being, as The FATHER

  3. yes, all one. What you do with one impacts the whole being. What happens in the physical impacts the spiritual. Adam and Eve are a great example of this. They made a decision in their soul (minds), acted in the body and impacted the spiritual.

  4. Sara what you wrote saying that faith in eternity becomes or changes to sight and our hope becomes that which is seen and God is love and Love is God……This is what I got … that we If hold fast in obedience to do that which is set before us..Helping hands Hoping hearts Holy Healing…and let no man(including ones self SELF) take your crown (crown being the 4-Hs)…then all the lives that came to Christ through the heavenly 4-Hs above and abides by them.. will in Eternity..See God/Jesus..?…..I could see the eternal ring , faith hope and love gets “stepped up a notch”….in eternity if we live by them now……this made me think if we dont have the 4-hs in action even that which we have will be taken away…thats the illness/sin that sets in the body Physical and spiritual that Gary spoke of right?

  5. Dorothy, may I invite you to read this blog once again and see if you still get the same answer as you gave.

This makes me think of Gary’s teaching on Sunday from the last chapter of Acts and how we read, see, or react to the knowledge that we have. Thanks for the challenge, it has me reading and studying and praying once again.

    You are a delight!

  6. Sara I really love these challenges to see deeper and to research deeper to come to the fulllness…..we all need this…..

  7. Thanks Dorothy, got it. 🙂 Now I don’t need to join the 4-H Club of America. Or, I just did.

Motto: “To Make The Best Better”

The motto was adopted at about the same time as the 4-H Club Pledge. Its intent is to inspire young people to continue to learn and grow, to make their best efforts better through participating in educational experiences.

    “Learning By Doing”

“This phrase sums up the educational philosophy of the 4-H program. Young people learn best when they are involved in their learning. The intent is to do, reflect, and apply.”

Hopefully, our blogging is helping us be good 4-H’ers.

  8. In thinking about ‘Holy Living brings Healing to the Body. ‘Holy Healings.’ If my understanding is right in reading Eph 5, if the new man is not put on than the ‘old man which grows corrupt’ will rule and produce an understanding in the mind which is darkened, and ‘alienated from the Life of God’… not healthy and full of God’s Light. God tells us to be ‘holy in all your conduct.'(I Pet 1:15-16)If we don’t than we are giving a place for the devil to operate in our lives and bodies and Body of Christ. Because we are a part of the body with our gifting whether it be a hand or foot, etc, then if we are not living in that ‘holy healing’ than that will affect the Body and we will not see the precious fruit of the Spirit, Love, develop. And our faith would never be able to be changed in to that beautiful ‘seeing’ as spoken in the above comments because ‘without holiness no one shall see the Lord (Heb 12:14.). Yes, I agree there is that need to love first. And to love Him is to obey His commandments and live Holy Healing.

  9. This reminds me of this week’s sermon. Pastor is going through the commandments. This weeks focus was on “Thou Shalt Not Steal” and “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. He said that these are only words and are no effect until someone comes along and HELPS make the gospel applicable to those that Jesus sent them to work with. In love you thus HELP move people from mire words to application in LOVE.

I thought deeply upon these two commandments in a different way than before. How often does one steal joy from someone’s heart and life? How often does one try to kill the hopes and dreams of individuals? How does one turn these around in individuals? Only with HELP of the words of the Lord Jesus being poured into our being, filling us with faith, hope, and love. THus these individuals become the “helping hands” of Jesus nurturing and assisting until the harvest is brought in.

  10. I would think each and every time that we do not share the gospel of Easter, death and resurrection, The Cross, with each and every person that we have contact with we have robbed them of having joy and eternal life. Passage John 3:16 -18 Message “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.”

Psalm 28:7 ” The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.”

Little gospel messages on tracts, cards, signs, etc. have always been so effective and yet we withhold them while promoting ourselves with looks, clothes, jewelry, bags, and any and everything to desire someone to notice us and then brag about where we got them and how we got them, etc. Where was joy giving, or life giving to others? Did we steal and kill and rob them to promote ourselves? Another great way is vocations, hobbies, vacations, always telling a problem, no real answers, etc. Anything, but Jesus Christ, the Superstar. Wonder if Jealousy plays the biggest role in this. We spend so much time giving thanks in mere words about what He gave us, things, health, jobs, and did we help another have the same? It is going to take a BIG JUDGE to sort all this out and I believe one day there will be ONE, and HIS Name is JESUS.

Pastors, teachers, and prophets have been teaching and preaching and warning since the day of ‘Jesus’ and yet somehow the message seems to fall on deaf ears or hard hearts or just no interest. Most likely lukewarm hearts.

  11. Sara,
This blog makes me want to be sure that I am a good 4’h’er. I sure want to be found “blameless at the coming of our Lord and Savior”. I began to read God’s word and the story in Matthew 25:14-30, really puts it plain. If I may, I’d like to quote the notes at the bottom of the page, regarding these scriptures. “The master divided the money among his servants according to their abilities. No one received more or less than he could handle. If he failed in his assignment, his excuse could not be that he was overwhelmed. Failure would indicate only laziness or hatred toward the master. The bags of silver represent any kind of resource we are given. God gives us time, gifts, and other resources according to our abilities, and he expects us to invest them wisely until he returns. We are responsible to use well what God has given us. The issue is not how much we have but how well we use what we have. Jesus is coming back – we know this is true. Does this mean we must quit our jobs in order to serve God? No, it means we are to use our time, talents, and treasures diligently in order to serve God completely in whatever we do. For a few people, this may mean changing professions. For most of us, it means doing our daily work out of love for God. This last man was thinking only of himself. He hoped to play it safe and protect himself from his hard master, but he was judged for his sef-centeredness. We must not make excuses to avoid doing what God calls us to do. If God truly is our Master, we must obey willingly. Our time, abilities, and money aren’t ours in the first place-we are caretakers, not owners. When we ignore, squander, or abuse what we are given, we are rebellious and deserve to be punished. This parable describes the consequences of two attitudes toward Christ’s return. The person who diligently prepares for it by investing his or her time and talents to serve God will be rewarded. The person who has no heart for the work of the Kingdom will be punished. God rewards faithfulness.
Those who bear no fruit for God’s Kingdom cannot expect to be treated the same as those who are faithful.” God, help me to be diligent (unremitting in effort) in serving You, so that “evangelism in the world” will be evident.

  12. I met a beautiful nurse this weekend who loves to go to a nearby nursing home a couple times a week. She said that she is able to do a Bible Study and then always ask if anyone wants to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
She said even if they say ‘no’, she says repeat after me and then she has them repeat the sinners prayer. At the end they almost always say, I want to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. What a wonderful way Jesus is using her and many like her to bring others into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful helping hand this nurse is and what great love she has to extend the invitation of Jesus to others.

  13. COOL! I hoped you invited the beautiful nurse to join The Daily Lily and blog. We would all like it but we have some beautiful nurse(s) bloggers that are looking for other nurses and hospital/medical care related bloggers to join.

  14. Needles as I read your comment above and read the scripture story from Matt that you wrote about I saw a correlation between the above and your comment (under Sara’s blog ‘Quote for the Day’ on freedom and discipline) about the ‘Discipline Deficiency and the Excuse Virus.’ The servant who only received the one money bag (or talent) in Matt 25 did have an excuse or justification. He couldn’t use the ‘overwhelmed’ excuse as you mentioned above for the ‘problem’ of failing his assignment so he used the fear excuse (vs.25). The Master saw through that excuse and called it for what it was, “you wicked and lazy servant”. So back again to what the quote note says above….’ A lack of self-discipline is the main reason for the failures.’ He obviously had no heart for the work of the Lord and Sara said above the reason for lack of evangelism is because ‘the message likely falls on lukewarm hearts.’
I see in reading on in Matt 25 that the end result for that kind wicked and lazy servant heart was outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  15. I’d like to add to Gary’s comment above with MG’s input. In nursing school, we study about the body, but we have to study the “whole” being. We studied that we are all “biopsychosocialculturalspiritual” beings. Therefore, we are not complete without ALL parts.

  16. Needles I read the parable and your right each one got exactly what the Lord knew they could handle so there is no excuse…The Lord knew at what level each one was thats why He gave accordingly….and He leaves it up to each one to bare that fruit..not heaping it upon ones self as Sara wrote above saying shopping jewerly ,..”me,,me,,me”…its a reaching outward not to oneself..The Lord wants many Sons to be brought to Glory/to His Kingdom…and hiding our gifts or even using them for self isnt going to cut it..outside the gate …thats HELL….You know Jesus said Iam the way the truth and the life if any man enter in through me he will find “life”,,,,,,well thats the Gate and if your outside thats death and death is Hell….man thats scary…dj
OH and Needles thats a big word “biopsychosocialculturalspiritual”….but youre right I have never seen a torso make needs arms head hands all the rest of the body….otherwise It cant do a thing and that makes it dead…its dead…yep..dead….looks dead.. smells dead…yep…its dead….dj

  17. Needles, I tried a little Webster on my own with your “biopsychosocialculturalspiritual”. I think Gary just might be right we can’t separate totally.

Now, I am wondering if the baby story from 1 Kings 3:24-26 says even more than I once thought. vs. 10 will shows us that this is the wisdom of Solomon. Lord, how we need wisdom in all situations.

24 Then the king said, “Bring me a sword.” So they brought a sword for the king. 25 He then gave an order: “Cut the living child in two and give half to one and half to the other.”
The woman whose son was alive was filled with compassion for her son and said to the king, “Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don’t kill him!” But the other said, “Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!”

Thanks for this great study, now may we all ask God for and have wisdom in each and every situation we find ourselves in.

  18. If we are as the scripture says God’s temple, God’s house, then I am thinking this big word of Needles has big implications.A house has many different rooms or parts in it with different characteristics and functions. That reminded me of Needles big word for our whole being ‘“biopsychosocialculturalspiritual”.Also, Sara talked about God’s church being built on the Rock,Christ Jesus. So it seems that if all(not just some) of the different parts (Sara gave definitions of the parts of this big word above) are not all lining up in obedience to God’s commandments than the house will fall when the storms of life hit it (Matt 7:24). Every part has to be tended to and maintained, not ignored or treated as a separate compartment. A divided house doesn’t stand either (Matt 12:25).

  19. Debi, in reading your comment above, I had a mental picture of a house/someone’s home that has had a fire. Much like we have seen through the winter from fireplaces, furnaces, candles, space heaters, etc. Such a tragedy, many families homeless or living in unhealthy conditions because of fires. Wonder if our spiritual body/physical body looks much like that from the wrong fire in our spirit, mind, or body caused by neglect or wrong relationships, wrong choices or other major situations?

Of course wonder how this works with aging? I did see a book recently on “Healthy Aging” by Dr. Weil.  Life magazine wrote referring to the book, “Forget plastic surgery. Skip the pricey face creams and the drugs for creaky bodies. Natural-medicine champion Weil covers longevity research, aging, and how he’s embracing the experience.”  My thoughts from all this looks more like we may be trying to solve the Rubik’s cube. I still haven’t solve that! Another thought I had for some of us ‘vain seekers’, we might say that might be fine for the ones of us  or others that can’t afford some of these things but how would we feel about all this if we could afford face lifts, face and body creams and anything and everything that we see advertise that might help our aging.

  20. Two thoughts came to my mind, Sara, with regard to your question ‘Wonder if our spiritual body looks much like that from the wrong fire in our spirit, mind, or body caused by neglect or wrong relationships, wrong choices or other major situations?’
The first is that it seems our house in heaven is going to be determined by how our spiritual house (body)is built here. First we must build it on no their foundation than Jesus Christ. Then what we build with (like neglect, etc that you mention above vs. the opposite of these things)could be compared to gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay straw. (I Cor 3:12). Wrong choices are like wood, hay straw which burn up quick in a fire, leaving devastation and nothing to show for the King..just vain, useless empty shell. That’s like I Cor 3:13″..each one’s work will become manifest for the Day will declare it because it will be revealed by fire and the fire will test each one’s work of what sort it is.. If anyone’s work is burned he will suffer loss (that’s the mental picture of what the fire did to the house you told about above) but he himself will be saved yet so through fire.” I guess it is possible for the fire to gut the house and yet if it was built on that Firm Foundation the person may be saved but not have much of a house to live in when he gets to heaven.
James 3 was my other thought and he is not quite so hopeful. He says our tongue (the thing that is connected to the heart and mind that makes wrong choices) “ a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the WHOLE BODY and sets on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire by hell.”
With regard to your aging comment. It looks like we can’t afford to neglect the mind and spirit. We better refer to your song on a previous blog, “The Battle of the Bulge”. For vitamins, exercise and diet won’t do it alone.

  21. Thanks Debi for the reminder to read, sign and live the song as listed on The Daily Lily “The Battle of the Bulge.” It seems to always bring me back I find myself going back over and over again to the fruit of the spirit found in the following verses. I stop, pause and meditate. I understand that these are accomplished through the work of the Holy Spirit meaning I can’t produce them myself. They are produced by The Holy Spirit. I must physically walk along the paths that the Holy Spirit through the Word has laid out for me to walk to have this fruit produced in me. Kind of like if I want a orange, go to the store and purchase one. It just does not show up on the house plant.

Galatians 5:22-23 Message:”But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified.”

    Passage Galatians 5:22-23:Ampl.
“But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,

Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[a]that can bring a charge].”

Again, many thanks to all for helping us get our 4-H’s working in SYNC.

  22. Oh Sara and Debi…look what I found about wrong fire!…In Leviticus 10:1..And Nadab and Abihu the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein and put incense thereon and offered “strange fire” before the Lord, which he commanded them. and there went our fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord…. (In my Bibles margin it says they were acting in the things of God without seeking the mind of God….) they were doing their own thing instead of God’s way…..It sure is dangerous when one doesn’t walk the path the Holy Spirit lays…Your house gets burnt up and you get rotten fruit…. one had better accept Christ Jesus and join the Daily Lily 4-H and sing/live the Song…The Battle of the Bulge..and if you have Christ in your life you need to Join the Daily Lily 4-h and sing that song out loud so others dont burn down their houses and have rotten fruit….Sara you and the Lilies sing REAL LOUD..through these blogs…

  23. WHEEE, WOW Dorothy! You are right about the fire. It is very much like the sons of Sceva trying to cast out demons and they got the attack from the one they were speaking to. Just like the fire devoured.

Do it God’s way! Walk the path of the Holy Spirit. We are in a season of repentance as we prepare our hearts for Easter Celebration. How thankful I am that He is still working on me.

I hear it loud and clear Repent Sara!

  24. Concerning the comments on the unity of the human being, the Epistle to the Hebrews says in Chapter 4:12, that the Word of God is quick, powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the SOUL and SPIRIT and of the JOINTS & MARROW (BODY) and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the HEART. Evidently, the “BEING” is tripartite BUT/AND the only thing that can truly separate and/or divide the being is THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT which is the WORD of GOD for the purpose of analization, discernment, discovering, uncovering, detecting or EXPOSING the true, AUTHENTIC SELF.

  25. Say, Dj, I looked a little more closly at your 4-H parallel but REALLY…..It’s 6-H, not just 4-H! Wouldn’t you know that GOD would do us one better than man’s organization. (H(elping, H(ands); H(oping H(earts); H(oly) H(ealings)!!
See? 6-H!! I would like to join the 6-H’ers, TOO!!!

  26. Dorothy that wrong/strange fire you spoke of above is also called ‘profane’in my Bible and the definition of profane is:to treat (something sacred) with abuse, irreverence, or contempt : DESECRATE.
Heb 12:15 names a person that is descrbed as ‘profane’ and that is Esau. Esau was the brother of Jacob who lost his Battle with the Bulge by making a wrong choice in order to satisfy a hunger. He sold his birthright(inheritance) to Jacob for ‘one morsel of food’. I wonder if that was an example of what Sara shared above ‘mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities’? The verse goes on to say that when he wanted to inherit the blessing later he was rejected..’he found no place for repentence thought he sought it diligently with tears’. Then, according to Obadiah 18, his house became stubble as a result of this profane fire, while his brother Jacob’s house became a fire for the Lord with Jacob receiving the blessing.

  27. MG and Debi, enjoyed studying along with you both on being energetic with God’s Word. The scripture MG gave us from Hebrews 4:12… the Word of God is living and powerful…The word ‘powerful’ in this scriptures is ‘energetic’ i.e. something at work, active, and effective verses idle, inactive, and ineffective.

It starts with studying, speaking, and then doing. I think as we look at the interest, input, study, and living from “Toss Me Aside” to ‘Sea of Identity” into Helping Hands, Hoping Hearts and Holy (wholly) Living from the many daily lilies at work we will see a picture of hope. When we allow the Word of God to judge the intents and thoughts of our hearts is brings great Hope to the Heart! We are developing a sense of (Hope) high destiny. Each time we have a meeting with our (whole) self=holy we have meet our destiny-Holy Living.

Debi, you sure didn’t just tell us you showed us the outcome of the opposite side of the sword. If you read Hebrews 12::12-17 (vs. 15 you mentioned) you will see how to renew your energy and vitality and have Holy Healing (vs. 13)…make straight paths for your feet so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be HEALED. Be a Jacob and not an Esau. Remember from “The Dance of Healing” Jacob kept his head on The Rock.

I have had the opportunity to be in this study for the last two weeks and to have extended verbal contact with the other lilies and I know the energy is on HIGH! All Praise and Glory to The King, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you God and thanks and hope to each Lily.

I know with Lilies like this, God’s church will really be aglow with beauty this Easter.

  28. Sara you are so right we need to be Jacobs and keep our heads on the RocK!..In John 13..Jesus was guirded with a dowet and kneeled down and started to wash His disciples feet..and Simon Peter said to the Lord when once he was corrected Lord, dont just wash my feet only, but also my hands and my head…..He wanted it all cleaned…and Simon Peter did have to go through a lot of corrections and repenting because he had his head on The Rock….so he recieved that Holy Healing…….and Jesus said in Matthew 16:13-19…upon this rock I will build my church…..I understand that the rock Jesus was building his church on wasnt Peter but the revelation which the start of the 4-hs in peters life had caused to come forth….. to me Peter helps me to see the 4-hs really clear when I follow his journey through the Heavenly 4-h…he even tossed Jesus aside…and was in torment ….but the 4-hs in his life got him back on track….dj

  29. Yeah, DJ,reading Concordances has revealed that Peter’s name really means “stone” or “rock” like in a rock garden. But The ROCK of REVELATION that the Church is built upon is like THE ROCK OF GIBRALTER. That insurance company has nothing on the CHURCH. It is Jesus Christ and the WORD revealed to His prophets as recorded in the WORD of GOD. That REVELATION IS “THOU ART THE CHRIST; THE MESSIAH! THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD”

  30. Jesus told Peter that he was “washed” thru regeneration but Jesus also said, “He that is washed need not, save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit…” Obviously, thru the gift of salvation we are cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb. But the washing of the feet symbolizes the washing off of “sins”, the errors, the iniquity, the defilement, the deception….sins of commission and sins of omission, mismanagement, that soil our CHRISTIAN WALK. Thus the symbol of footwashing which is parallel to 1Jn. 1:9…”if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10-If we say we have no sin we make HIM out a liar and the WORD of TRUTH is not in us” So our GOD makes a provision for those of us who fail in our “walk”. Sara’s book says,”ADMIT IT: FACE IT: CHANGE IT.” We have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous Who will plead our case before the Father in our behalf that we might repent of our foolishness and self-deceptions, be cleansed by the washing of the water of the Word and then TAKE ACTION in changing those habits and weaknesses in our walk and letting the FRUITS of the SPIRIT be produced within us and manifested to others by the Holy Spirit. Sara says that YOU can’t MAKE the Spiritual Fruit grow. You have to allow Holy Spirit to grow it in YOU by challenging and casting down those vain imaginations and high and haughty thoughts, ragings, anger, jealousies, selfishnes, impatience, envyings, strife, greed, vanities. Cast them down! Cast them out! And watch the spritual Oranges grow which others can pluck from your peculiar green “tree of life”.

  31. As we cast down the vanities of our lives that trip us up, we prepare soil that Holy Spirit can use to plant the SEED of the Character of CHRIST, that brings forth excellent Fruit in due season.

  32. Sara, what you said above on ‘how to renew your energy and vitality and have Holy Healing’ by making straight paths for your feet so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be HEALED’ says so much.
First,it speaks to me of our personal walk: strive to enter in at the straight gate (Luke 13:24); teach me your way Lord and lead me in a smooth path because of my enemies (Ps 27:11). For I read in Heb 12:1 that there are weights (possibly heavy rocks of unholy choices)in my path and sins which entwine along the way and easily ensnare (maybe that was that root of bitterness in the middle of the path (vs.15)which sprang up and caused trouble by making a trip hazard.) Afterall, the last thing a lame person needs is unstable footing. So we are told to lay aside these weights/clear the path, and root out the weeds of sin so the path will be smooth.
Secondly it seems that making straight paths for our feet will help bring forth the ultimate goal (in your blog ‘HELPING HANDS, HOPING HEARTS AND HOLY HEALINGS’)which is ‘that this brings evangelism to the world and builds The Church”. Isaiah 62:10 says to me that we the church must ‘prepare the way’ for others to walk on this smooth and straight path by building up this highway, removing the stones in our own daily lives and lifting up this as a banner of the Lord for the peoples. Then they will not be lame and dislocated from the Body of Christ but also have energy and vitality and Holy Healing.

  33. Something more on Gary’s comment on the singularity of being, not really 3 parts divided, but one; like the TRINITY OF THE LIVING GOD; three PERSONS but not at all divided but in unity of the SPIRIT ONE! That made me think further on to the GOSPEL when Christ broke the bread. Dj had mentioned something about that, also, and I thought… matter how small a morsel or how big a morsel, the BREAD OF LIFE, THE COMMUNION contains, in every molecule, the WHOLE TRINITY; The WHOLE GOD. Jesus’ Body is not just in the middle of the “LOAF”, or in the front of the “LOAF” or the top part of the “LOAF. But every morsel, molecule, contains the WHOLE BODY OF CHRIST which He commands us to eat. THIS IS MY BODY! Eat ye all of it!!! (for it is ALL there) CHRIST IS WHOLENESS AND HE IS WHOLE and therefore when we “eat” of IT we eat WHOLENESS if we receive it in the right SPIRIT.

  34. Oh to only believe and to not NOT-BELIEVE!! It seems that in providing the COMMUNION, the partaking of the BODY OF CHRIST, Christ provided the Perfect Vehicle to receive our healing when taken in the right Spirit. Paul said many are “fallen asleep” because they were not partaking in the right Spirit. Did Paul mean, “taking a snooze”? I think not. Paul exhorts, well….reprimands in 1Cor.13:27-32 in that he says that we must examine our hearts before receiving communion that we do not do so unworthily, for therein is damnation to oneself, not rightly discerning the Body and Blood of the LORD. “For this reason”, he continues, “many are weak and sickly among you and many sleep!” But when we judge ourselves, confess to the Lord Jesus and receive cleansing,(face it, admit it, change it) the healing is ours in the COMMUNION and in the laying on of Holy Hands. And the menu for holiness is the same as above. To observe, that is obey the tenets set forth by the Lord and to be cleansed continuously by the Blood of the Lamb. Sara put it all out there in the Principal article to which these comments are attached. “Be ye holy for I AM Holy,” says the Lord. This is not just a suggestion. Someone said, They’re the ten commandments, not the ten suggestions.”
So to “stay holy” is the campaign cry of the devoted Christian. To stay in Belief and not get into unbelief is the main battle of the war. Sara said, “if we could only get our heads and our hearts to embrace these truths……” Sometimes the longest distance in the universe is the distance between our heads and our hearts. And it need not be so.

  35. Sara you start above with “Discovering our gift(s) and using them effectively in the Body of Christ illustrates the beauty of the hands of Jesus, ‘Helping Hands.” As I was re-reading the many wonderful blogs and comments this am, I saw how Needles had related the palm branches to “We are “safe now”, because we are in the “palm” of His hand”. With Easter approaching that made me think also of Jesus dying on the Cross. I thought of his nail scarred palms, pierced so we could be safe in Him for eternity. And how the helping hands of others who found Life from His hands then bring this Life to others. As an example: the lilies using their hands to type on their keyboards and bring Light and Life to many through sharing their insights. How true you say above,‘Helping Hands, Hoping Hearts and Holy Healings’ bringing evangelism to the world and building the church.”
