HAPPY AM I

Matthew 5:2-10
Then He (Jesus) opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied, and [b]spiritually prosperous–[c]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Blessed and enviably happy [with a [d]happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, [e]spiritually prosperous–[f]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!(B)

Blessed and fortunate and happy and [g]spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God [h]enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be [i]completely satisfied!(C)

Blessed (happy, [j]to be envied, and [k]spiritually prosperous–[l]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!

Blessed (happy, [m]enviably fortunate, and [n]spiritually prosperous–possessing the [o]happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!(D)

Blessed (enjoying [p]enviable happiness, [q]spiritually prosperous–[r]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and [s]maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

Blessed and happy and [t]enviably fortunate and [u]spiritually prosperous [v](in the state in which the born-again child of God enjoys and finds satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of his outward conditions) are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake (for being and doing right), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!

Blessed (happy, [w]to be envied, and [x]spiritually prosperous–[y]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward conditions) are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account.

How many other ways can we say “Happy Am I?”

  3. Happy and fortunate are those who have arrived at the concept of hungering and thirsting continually for righteousness in the earth and to retain one’s being in integrity and honor. That is true happiness to know that one’s WORK pleases the Lord and nothing else matters if HE is pleased, because He is the God of righteousness. All other is sinking sand.
Happy are they who recognize their gifts to the Body of Christ and minister in that gift(s) for the Kingdom’s sake and nothing else matters because one is fulfilling one’s destiny on this earth that The LORD has portioned out for that person. YES! HAPPY!
A million dollars….Happy? Maybe! Riches are nice but the Word of GOD says the moth can destroy our worldly riches but nothing can destroy the integrity of the spirit that has hungered and thirsted for the GOD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS and nothing else really matters.
When the weight of the world is lifted from ones heart then true happiness can overtake it for the world is at enmity with the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD within a person.
If we want to be happy we need to “surrender continually to the HOLY SPIRIT and HE will lead us and guide us into all righteous living and true HAPPINESS.
We are striving to be arriving (but not quite yet) but we can be happy on the journey!

  4. ‘Happy Am I’ when I know the commandments of the Lord Jesus and then do them. (John 13:17)….when I fear the Lord and walk in His ways …and eat the labor of my hands. (Psalm 128:1). Blessed and happy am I to find that my strength is in Him (Ps 84:5). And all that each one wrote above makes me realize that when these things to be happy about are written and spoken of, you see just how great a feast is laid before us. There is so much that we can choose something different all day long to think on and always have happy thoughts.

  5. Proverbs 16:20B “WHOEVER TRUSTS IN THE LORD, HAPPY IS HE.”

John 13:17 JESUS SPEAKING “If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.” What things should we know?

Did you know that when you see blessed in the Word it means many times happy are you, blessed are you. Yes, Happy are you!!!!!

Happy am I for living in a Nation where I can freely worship God, Jesus, the Christ and The Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father, we so appreciate You, Son of God, what a wonder You are, Holy Spirit, You stay right beside us.

Thank You God for making Your children so HAPPY!

  6. Psalms 16:8-11 “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. 9 No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safely. 10 For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave. 11 You show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.” Happiness is the presence of the Lord and knowing that he will not let our souls die. We will live forever with our Lord. We are safe because he is right beside us. Eternity with our Lord is happiness. We have no reason to be any other way. We shouldn’t walk around with our heads hung low overwhelmed with saddness. We are God’s people. We have eternity. We should have joy in our hearts, a smile on our faces and a song on our lips. We have forever and ever with our Lord. Why should we be sad about anything. We should even be happy when others persecute us. Matthew 5:11-12 “11 God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.” So what ever life throws us, just smile and know this time will pass. Keep joy in our hearts because eternity with Christ is ours. Don’t worry about anything, just be happy!!!
