What a Day

Have you ever been asked to babysit a Koi fish pond? I have, by my daughter-in-law, for 5 hours. I had to cancel all my appointments including my nail appointment. This is serious work. See some of our results after 5 hours of bird watching.

  1. What incredible videos! I have heard about blue herons terrorizing and eating fish from ponds but I have never seen footage like this on one actually stalking.

  2. This is truly amazing! Much better than tv, for sure. What a mission! I’ve heard of a “red herring” but this ‘blue’ heron is something else.
You must reveal the end of this spy-thriller. Did we catch the the ‘blue’, red-handed or did he have fish-fry next door? Did the neighbor ever find out about his fish pond’s being stalked?
Oh this should become a serial program. Next episode:

  3. Sara, These are great videos. All I need was popcorn and a drink. I felt like I was in the movie theater. I want to know, did the good guys win. Did they defeat the evil heron. I guess this is one of those cliff hangers, that leaves you at the edge of your seat. Great movie. Thanks Sara.

  4. Lucifer- “means Light bearing and morning star.” We think of Lucifer as another name for Satan. And, Satan sure does stalk us and follow us and try to rob, kill and destroy us. John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”

And, that bird, now named Lucifer, sure did try all those things on our poor fish.

We find Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth…”

  5. Chickenfarmer, whacky tree hugger, Gary, would not let us kill the bird. Tammy tried the water hose treatment and metal lid banging.

  6. Hmmm… Heron is eating our fishies. What eats heron? We may have to get a “natural enemy”.
Now, against satan, we DO have a “SUPERNATURAL ENEMY”…The Holy Spirit.
