  1. As I was reading this blog, I saw five key words that stood out to me. 1. TRUST. Definition: 1.Assured reliance on the character strength or truth of someone or something 2. faith and hope 3. confident hope. Psalms 33:4 “For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can TRUST everything he does.” Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” The word trust is a key word because it is telling us to have faith in the Lord. We know the word of the Bible is true and can be trusted and we know we can trust God with all our hearts. By doing this we know God is living in us and helping us with difficult decisions and choices in our lives. If God is guiding our lives, we can trust ourselves, because we know He will never mislead us.
2.PERCEPTION: Definition ability to understand: insight, comprehension. Psalms 119:27 “Help me to understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.”
Proverbs 2:9 “Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.” Perception (understanding). If we study God’s laws and understand them, then we will understand what is right, just and fair and we will go in the right direction.
    3. ACCURATE : Definition free from error. exact precise. When I think of this definition, I think of perfect. Hebrews 9:14 “Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.” Matthew 5:48 “But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” If we are purified by the blood of the perfect sacrifice then we must strive to be perfect. 4.WILLING : Definition: inclined or favorably disposed in the mind: ready. Prompt to act or respond. 1 Chronicles 28:9 “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve Him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek Him you will find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” Psalms 51 :12 “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey.” So if we have and intimate relationship with our Lord by worshiping and service and obeying, we will find Him because we and seeking Him. 5. BELIEVE: Definition: to have a religious conviction ; to have a firm convicion about something or someone; accept as truth. John 1:6-7 “God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.” John 13:19 “I tell you this beforehand, so that when it happens you will believe taht I AM the Messiah.” John the Baptist let everyone know about the Light, Jesus, so that they would believe in Him and not be lost. Jesus warned the disciples about the near future so they would not have any doubts, they were with the Light, Jesus. When Jesus is molding us and making us into his image, we can TRUST OURSELVES.

  2. chickenfarmer when Jesus is ‘molding us and making us into his image’ we will be walking in the spirit and not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh (Gal 5:16) and that will mean we are leaning on His understanding and perception operating through us. When we are one with Him we can trust in ourself because we are really trusting in Him.

  3. “If God is guiding our lives, we can trust ourselves, because we know He will never mislead us.” (chickenfarmer)
“When we are one with Him we can trust in ourself because we are really trusting in Him”. (Debi)

Proverbs 3:6 says: “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” The footnotes for this scripture reads like this: ” To receive God’s guidance, said Solomon, we must seek God’s will in all we do. This means turning every area of life over to him. About a thousand years later, Jesus emphasized this same truth (Matthew 6: 33). Examine your values and priorities. What is important to you? In what areas have you not acknowledged him? You may already acknowledge God in many areas of your life, but the areas where you attempt to restrict or ignore him will cause you grief. Make him a vital part of everything you do; then he will guide you because you will be working to accomplish his purposes.”

  4. The Authentic Self is the self one should trust in and that is the self Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit dwells in…..
Yes Needles….”Make Him a vital part of everything you do; then he will quide you…”John 14;15-17 If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him mot, niether knoweth Him; but ye know Him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”…..(then you can trust in your self…the authentic self)….. This is what I Just learned this past week At the Daily Lily 3rd annual retreat The Four Bees finding your spiritual gifts….It was in the Bee of Budding Lesson 2 on Saying Power..Taught by Sara…. “The authentic self is my spirit made visible….and with the Holy Spirit leading and quiding and teaching….if we yeild to Him ….then we can trust ourself.. and fulfill Gods call on our lives using the gifts God gave us.(this was an awsome retreat!)dj

  5. Yes, DJ, “if we yield to Him”, like Mary did. In Lesson two, of our lesson book, from this magnificant retreat, it says: “And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit has rejoiced in God, my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant. For behold, henceforth, all generations will call me blessed.” The book further states that “Mary was joyful when she began to speak forth. She says,’I want to tell you a mystery. All generations are going to call me blessed’.” We learned that Mary was not being arrogant or prideful, but truthful!! Mary certainly trusted God and herself.

  6. In her book THE FOUR BEES, Sara states….”that we can be MORE blessed than the Virgin Mary (which is a very challenging statement) because one time when Jesus was preaching a voice came from the congregation cryoing out to the effect….”blessed is the woman who bore, nursed you and nurtured you.” But Jesus answered, “MORE THAN THAT…MORE THAN THAT>…MORE THAN THAT (ditto, mine) “Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and Keep it!!” Now we know that Jesus reverenced his mother and loved her but He spoke these words for OUR behalf and for OUR benefit. He was letting us in on one of the greatest of all miracles of eternity….CHRIST IN US, THE HOPE OF GLORY.

  7. At the 3rd Annual Retreat of thedailylily entitled THE FOUR BEES, I learned that we have a heart’s pocket or hearts pocket. A heart’s pocket is the natural man which contains emotional hurts, negative thinking, pride, greediness, etc. The Hearts pocket is the treasurers from God and contains ALL the treasurers from God, all the spiritual gifts and motivational gifts given to you as a unique individual of God. It may also include others spiritual gifts from God. The individual will exhibit good fruit, the fruits of the spirit. If we are operating out the heart’s pocket our perception will be way off for it says in New American Standard Bible (©1995) “HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember, This is heart breaking for us to face in ourselves. We have dipped from a heart’s pocket and not hearts pocket. The bible says in Matthew 12:25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand’. We have thus tried to put one foot in one pocket and one foot in another pocket. The scripture says this action is IMPOSSIBLE. If we are totally in the hearts pocket we are allowing the Holy Spirit to completely lead and guide us and then our perceptions will be true and accurate. Otherwise, we bring confusion to those around us with our conversation and actions. We say things we did not hear or see or add or subtract as the heart’s side directs. The saddest thing about all of this is that those we wanted to lead to Christ are shown a mirror of Christ which they hoped to see in you that causes them to run away from Christ instead of running to Christ for the answers.

What wonderful teaching. May we strive to truely have Christ in Us, THE HOPE of GLORY!
