Prayer for each day

Lord…give me the gift of faith to be renewed and shared with others each day. Teach me to live this moment only, looking neither to the past with regret, nor the future with apprehension. Let love be my aim and my life a prayer. Roseann Alexander-Isham

  1. Today is the gift God gives, daily, (like to learn and work out the salvation that He has given us so freely.
These are great gifts, faith (as the quote mentions) and THE DAY!
This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I will rejoice and be healed in it. I will rejoice and be delivered from my fears and doubts in it. I will help another in it. I will think of another, and pray for another in it. I will share the love of Christ in me, in it.
Tomorrow will have enough troubles of its own. BUT TODAY??? Thank YOU for the gift of today, Lord.

  2. Such a beautiful prayer from a heart that must truly recognize and yield to the Holy Spirit who is Current Event, alive now, living in the moment and willing to lead in the life of a surrendered person. Such a person is acting on the finished work of the cross, able to leave yesterday under the blood of Jesus and tomorrow in His Hands. What a rest.
“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.” Hebrews 4:9-10

  3. Thank you so much for this beautiful prayer. I think it is just as Jesus would have said it. Go and fill the cups of the ones around you this day. This reminded me of a song that was song at CCI which we all love. We are all crippled in someway before we meet Jesus. May we be the present that pour out into someone’s life this day. May we see it happen as the song says.

Peter and John went to pray.
They met a lame man on the way.
    He held out his palm
    And asked for an alm
And this is what Peter did say:

Silver and gold have I none,
    But such as I have give I thee;
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
    Rise up and walk!

    And he went walking,
    And leaping, and praising God!
    Walking, and leaping,
    And praising God!
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
    Rise up and walk!

  4. Rena, I love this little song. I love to hear both Debi and Sherman sing it. I am singing the last verse now for healings for all the Lilies and their families. May we all be healed in Jesus Name and go walking and leaping and praising God.

Dear God, pour out your bowels of Mercy to all of us, I pray. Also for the women, men and children that are starving throughout the world, pour out Your Mercy, I pray.
