“Where the healing waters flow,
Where the joys celestial glow,
Oh, there’s peace and rest and love,
Where the healing waters flow!”
The Lord, the Fountain of living waters…heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed.” Jeremiah 17:13-14
I must say I listened to one (some of one) of the tapes where Mel Gibson and his girlfriend were having one of their _______. You can find and listen all over the news. The conversation, if you could call it that, seem to be about whom would take care of their child, a baby. I felt pain inside listening to this horror. I think of his movie, “The Passion of Christ”, it came to me: Cry out to Christ for healing for Mr. Gibson and all involved.
Yes, this is a picture from his move. Think about this? Think about what is happening to this man? And, if you can find it in your heart to pray for Mr. Gibson and all families that are suffering from angry, abuse and pain, please do. The Lord, the Fountain of living waters…heal me, (heal Mr. Gibson and all we pray for) O Lord, and I (they) shall be healed.” Jeremiah 17:13-14
Dear Father, please remember our men and women that are suffering from PTSD. As we look upon this vivid photo Mel Gibson gave us from “The Passion of Christ”, our hearts break, giving us pain and we cry out; Heal! O Lord, we pray, Heal, Your children. Heal our Nation, Heal the Nations. Heal, we pray.
I want to thank each and everyone that stopped here to pray today. I am so glad you stopped by to join me in prayer. We serve a Mighty God and He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Yes, there is still Hope for all!
I join you in prayer, Sara, for a world gone astray in a gigantic way. And a man is of great talent, Mr. Gibson is, who had the artistic creativity to portray on the screen a very real picture of the sufferings and passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and how it really happened at Golgotha. This was REAL. What inspired him to tell it like it was? May the same inspiration of the Holy Spirit speak to this man’s heart. There is healing in the wounds that flow freely with the precious blood of Christ.
I wrote a song a while ago
COVENANTAL CUTTING
Oh the Blood that came down
And was spilled upon the ground
Fron the precious veins of the
Bleeding Lamb of God
Oh the Blood that came down
And was spilled upon the ground
From the precious veins of the bleeding Lamb of God
Oh Rock, oh STEADY ROCK
And faultless was Your work
You shed Your precious Blood
In the covenantal Cutting
Oh Rock, Oh steady Rock
And faultless was Your Work
You shed Your precious blood
In the covenantal cutting.
I join you in pray for Mel Gibson and those around him and all those who suffer from anger, abuse, pain. Lord God in Mark 2:17 it is written New International Version (©1984) On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Dear God send Mr. Gibson the doctor, your Son who will bring inner healing to the voices within that try to destroy the gifts and talents that you placed within him on this earth to do. Lord remember the story he portrayed of your Son and how he was so detailed in his portrayal. Jesus you see the man within and you love who you see walking down the highway towards YOU. Lord place him on the road again – Heal him and Lord we pray he is not way laid too long. (We place other names in this pray as well.) Thank you Jesus for your Healing Touch! Jesus Cares For You.
I also join in singing the hymn above and praying Jeremiah 17:13-14 asking for healing from the ravages of pain and suffering of trauma, shock, abuse, depression, anger to all those named in Sara’s prayers.
Where the healing waters flow…..where are the healing waters and where do they flow? We know in the Gospel of John, Jesus healed the lame man at the Pool of Bethesda where the healing waters were flowing but the man’s infirmity kept him from quickly entering the flowing waters. (Jesus had healing waters flowing out of Himself. But where are the healing waters, now? In John 7: 37-39 it reads, “Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘If any man is thirsty let him come to Me and drink deeply. He who believes and trusts in Me from his innermost being shall flow continuously, springs and rivers of living water.( But He was speaking of the Spirit of the Living God.) Could it be that the rivers of healing should be flowing from the dedicated, committed, God-fearing , Spirit-filled Believers? Are we ministering the love of God, the healing of God, the deliverance of God to those around us; to the sick, to the weak, to the seekers? Are we allowing the Spirit of God to flow out to others, so that they might come to the Fountain of Living Water (Jesus) and drink, as Jesus cried out at the last day of the feast His heart’s greatest desire? When these healing waters flow out of us then there, at that place, should be ministered peace, and love and rest and healing.
Oh, Lord. I want to be an instrument of Your peace, love and rest and healing to others. May my lips be seared with a live coal and my heart cracked open in humility and understanding that I may be used and allow You, Your Holy Spirit, to administer these virtues to others.
Some of you may have heard the late Keith Green sing the following. (I love to heart Keith sing it) This song came to mind, as I read this blog. Sing with me:
“Create in me a clean heart;
Oh God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away, from thy presence, Oh Lord
and take not thy Holy Spirit, from me.
Restore unto me; the joy of my Salvation, and renew
a right spirit within me.”
If I have left some verses out, please forgive me. I believe this scripture is in Psalm 51, where David was pleading, for God’s forgiveness.
I agree in prayer, for the above mentioned requests. Lord Jesus, we need Your healing touch. Please heal those wounds that only You can heal. In Jesus Holy name, Amen.
I sing this song with you Needles. It really addresses the prayer needs above.
You are right…it is in Psalm 51 in vs 10-12.
Needles, perhaps we will sing this song during the coming week! It goes along with Sara’s Biblical Presentation about changing and cleansing the heart (and soul and mind).
Great idea, MG! I like to sing this song.
Thanks, for giving the verses in Pslams, Debi.
I thank God dailyl for His compassion and mercy on us. I thank Him for answered prayer, for the leading of the Holy Spirit….even when I miss it. I am finding out in reality that He does speak, He does give clues and cues and He does lead. But if I refuse to follow or pay attention or let my flesh override Him, then there is always a loss. Some may say,” You mean you didn’t know that?? Every Christian should know that!!” Yes that is true. But until I put it into practice every day, every day, listening…listening before I act,I will miss it every time. Listen for His voice before I speak. Listen for His voice before i write. Listen for His voice before I act. So now….back to the drawing board. What a waste of time and eternity when I don’t listen FIRST!!
The hymn above, The Healing Waters, says there is peace and rest and love in those waters. The batterings, distress and wounds inflicted from pain of abuse and/or traumatic events leaves one worn down mentally and physically. Jesus tells us there’s Someone we can come to who cares and understands. He extends a comforting invitation. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
I too agree with the prayer for Mel Gibson. That very picture of Christ repesents the most important precious sacific man for man kind. It reprensents the gate to Heaven. You will never get to the Heavenly Garden in the sky without going through the gate, the Lord Jesus Christ. Some times along the journey of life, people loss their way to the gate. I pray that Mr. Gibson uses his GPS ( the Bible ) to locate the Gate.
Matthew 7:13-14 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it’s gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and few ever find it.”
John 10:7-10 ” 7 so he explained it to them, ” I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. 9 Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. my purpose is to give them a rich and satisfied life.
