Camp Meeting 2010

If you attended ‘Happy Home Camp Meeting’ write your story! Or, maybe a story from the other 86 years they have held summer camp meetings. Would love to hear the history of Happy Home Camp Meetings. I attended one night and one morning meeting for the first time this year. It was wonderful!

  1. Yes, the camp meeting was dynamic in content and the Holy Spirit was right there to meet the people’s needs. The teachings were inspirational and often confirmed many of the things God has been speaking to our congregation through our pastors, which is always a delight to received confirmation in the Body of Christ from God’s true ministers of the Gospel. The promised blessing of revival was in the air and teaching and demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s gifts were much in evidence and manifested throughout the services.
Preaching on getting higher into praise and worship and teaching on the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ and its importance were given.

We met great people of God there and made some Kingdom connections with lovely Christians of NC. Our hearts were gratified with all of it. So glad that I was able to go….God made it possible… as we were able to cancel and rescheduled appointments and other issues. And like in a twinkling of an eye, we were there and it was glorious.
Oh! And the food was not only delicious but there was abundant generosity and sacrificial love on that table where the church congregation gave their time and effort to lay a spread of glory for God’s people. Thank you, thank you!!
May revival come forth to those who are hungry for God in this endtime season before the coming of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST.

  2. Happy Home Camp Meeting is an awesome experience. It is a blessing to see this kind of worship and to get around people who love the Lord.

When you leave the service you feel like a much better person. It is great meeting new people and learning from each other. God bless all of you!

  3. Ladies,

Thanks agian for blessing us with your presence. I trust you had a safe trip home. I enjoyed our time around the lunch table. God bless you as you continue to share God’s love.

  4. What a wonderful Camp Meeting at Happy Home. Happy Home it certainly is.
We were welcomed with open arms. We were so delighted that Sara heard about this wonderful camp meeting through Brian Sawyer’s facebook page or we would not have known about it. God has new ways of making connections.
As MG said we quickly dropped all appointments due to the urging of the Holy Spirit and it seemed that God was behind the wheel with little or no traffic and delightful weather.

We loved the wonderful teaching and many ministers which confirmed what we learned at our Retreat in Pea Ridge this summer and the teachings going on in our church here in Leesburg, God is so good. When he gives out a message he tells everyone. Isn’t that cool. It was so nice to hear the confirmations as MG said.

I loved the people who attended. I loved the little man in front of me who offered us a pillow to sit on and then was basking in the joy of the Lord the whole night. He was free in the Lord and praised God in dance and song. Tom as he was known to us was a wonderful inspiration.

We were so blessed and we ask that God shower down blessings from heaven on the many workers from those who told about the event, to those who cooked, did the music, cleaned, scrubbed, mowed, put down the flooring, and served for all to come and hear what God wanted us to hear.

  5. I loved singing the wonderful praise songs, to our Lord. Psalm 81: 1 says: “Sing praises to God, our strength. Sing to the God of Jacob.” Some other scripture that comes to my mind, and I’m not sure where it is, at the moment, but it goes something like this: “If we don’t praise Him, then the rocks will cry out.” And I believe there is a scripture that says: “God inhabits the praises of His people.” (would someone help me clarify/find where these scriptures are? I want to make sure I have the wording correct. I can’t seem to locate them, using my concordance)

  6. Needles, Luke 19:40 NLT “He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!” Psalm 22:3 says, “… that God inhabits the praises of His people.”

The camp meetings @Happy Home Church sure lead us into praising God. Would of loved to had more of it! Tammy, the worship leader sure put a lot of energy into leading us. She has such a beautiful spirit. The praise team was wonderful. I know they must get tired in the heat and day after day and night after night. But, they were faithful.

I pray that they will go higher and higher into the praise and worship of the Almighty God. He is worthy of our praise. Revelation 4: 8 gives us a glimpse of worship…” And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,

“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come!”

  7. Thank you, Sara. I looked up both of the scriptures you have posted, and Psalm 22:3 in the Life Application Study Bible says: “Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.”

  8. Thanks, Needles! I love reading the verses from the different translations. Whoa, anyway you write and read these scriptures it makes you want to stand and bow in praise to a Mighty Holy God!
