  1. “Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel — which, when translated, means, God with us”
    (Matthew 1:23, AMP)

  2. And there was with them a host of angels singing”: ( A joyous song I wrote:)
    GREAT HOSANNAS
    Great Hosannas ring in the midnight sky
    And Alleluias sound throughout the earth
    Great Jehovah proclaims that Messiah’s nigh
    The Son of God, the royal birth
    Glory to God, in the highest glory
    Glory to God, Glory to God

  3. “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1 NLT)…..

    “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” (John 1:14 NLT)

  4. “And the Word was God and IS GOD and WILL BE GOD” ad infinitum. And so the Word is a Person. Sara and I discussed this very thing this afternoon, as in Mark 4:21 Jesus says… ” Some PEOPLE ARE LIKE SEED along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them which is the Word of God which is Christ, the Word..” The Word is a Seed Person, sown in the hearts of PEOPLE.

  5. Emmanuel, Thank You for being with me….Thank You for being with my family, my church and my Nation and The World.

    May all receive the New Born King, Emmanuel!

  6. Yes, to all our guests and readers who don’t know Jesus, the most Wonderful, glorious God. He is the merciful, the compassionate Lord. He is the patient and forgiving Lord. He is loving and wise and desires to share His wisdom with those who ask of Him. He is a God Who sets us free from the bondages of addictions and destructive habits. He heals and delivers us from the ravages of afflictions and above all things He is loving and He is just.
    Dear reader, if you have not asked Jesus to be born in your heart this Christmas season, now is the day of salvation. You only need to ask Him to come dwell in your heart and give you forgiveness and peace….peace with God and peace with fellow man. That is why He came to earth…to restore the relationship of mankind with Father God for anyone who desires to let go of a debilitating and dead-end existence; a life of sinfulness and destructive lifestyles; unfulfilled dreams; disappointment after disappointment in life.
    This GOD, Jesus Christ, is the answer you have been searching for in all the endeavors of your life. Jesus is the reason for the season but He is looking at you, dear reader, who does not know Him and His majestic love for you.
    Ask Him, desire God to be born in your heart and be a “Bethlehem” of joy this Christmas season.

  7. A Christmas hymn so many love to hear and sing, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’, speaks of receiving this King into our hearts and is a powerful prayer to sing.

    1. O little town of Bethlehem,
    How still we see thee lie;
    Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
    The silent stars go by:
    Yet in thy dark streets shineth
    The everlasting Light;
    The hopes and fears of all the years
    Are met in thee to-night.

    2. For Christ is born of Mary;
    And gathered all above,
    While mortals sleep, the angels keep
    Their watch of wondering love.
    O morning stars, together
    Proclaim the holy birth;
    And praises sing to God the King,
    And peace to men on earth.

    3. How silently, how silently,
    The wondrous gift is given!
    So God imparts to human hearts
    The blessings of His heaven.
    No ear may hear His coming,
    But in this world of sin,
    Where meek souls will receive Him still,
    The dear Christ enters in.

    4. O holy Child of Bethlehem,
    Descend to us, we pray;
    Cast out our sin, and enter in,
    Be born in us to-day.
    We hear the Christmas angels
    The great glad tidings tell;
    O come to us, abide with us,
    Our Lord Emmanuel.

  8. I am singing that song along with you, Debi, and all the LILIES this day. I sing it for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and their Savior. God promised that HIS Kingdom would come and His will WILL be done. We just have to get in step with what God is doing on the earth this very day. His Spirit is moving over all the earth and our land, especially, to bring many sons to glory. If you would hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts to His heavenly calling you forth to His love. As the hymn above says …”come to us, abide in us, Our Lord Emmanuel.”

  9. Isn’t it comforting, exciting and reassuring that even though the hubbub of Christmas and its great pleasures of candlelight services, family, fun, food and
    gifts have all come to an end for the year, that for those of us who have received the birth of Jesus Christ in our hearts continue to have…… ……Emmanuel…by the Holy Spirit, in our hearts, no matter what the calendar says. When you meditate on that truth it is actually a thrilling thought and motivates us to observe “Christmas” always, in our thoughts, actions, deeds and demeanor. For the world that lays in gross darkness has seen a great LIGHT and that LIGHT continues to shine through the centuries and now in me, I pray, because Christmas is ALWAYS. Even in January blizzards, 4th of Julys, sickness and health, through good times and bad, through all the seasons, testing and trials of life unto departure from this earth. And then Christmas in Heaven will be the greatest of all. Because, Christmas is FOREVER. What a legacy we have inherited!! So, Be Merry. This is just the beginning!!

  10. Right, Needles. I heard a man say, in a meeting the other day, “I celebrate Christmas in my heart every day, 365 days a year” And he sure was a happy fellow, for sure.
    Peter says, “But in your hearts, set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” And we can add to be ready to answer anyone who asks us why we are so joyful, so happy, so at peace. It’s because the Prince of Peace Emmanuel dwells in us 24/7. 365.

  11. He also gives us many assurances that He is with us. He promised He wouldn’t leave us or let us down (Heb 13:5) and that He would give us the Holy Spirit to help us and be with us forever (John 14:16). And He shows us by using others in His family to reach out as extensions of His arms and feet and care…. a call or visit when we need it, or some other tangible help at just the right time.

  12. Imagine a Friend so true, so dedicated to you, so in love with you that there is always compassion, forgiveness, a ready ear and good counsel whenever you ask for it and sometimes even when you don’t know, yet, that you need it.!!

    That’s what Jesus offers us when we ask Him into our hearts to dwell there by His Holy Spirit. He is GOD WITH US, revealed in us. We can have the Son of God abiding in us. Emmanuel Thank You God that You even care for such a one as I that You would even want to dwell within my heart. Thank You, Lord.

  13. Matthew 1:23 (NLT) “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means “God is with us.”
    Footnotes: Jesus would fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah, for he would be Immanuel {“God is with us….Isaiah 7:14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son an will call him Immanuel ( which means’ God is with us)} Jesus was God in the flesh, thus, God was literally among us, “with us”. Through the Holy Spirit, Christ is present today in the life of every believer. Perhaps not even Isaiah understood how far-reaching the meaning of Immanuel would be.”
    God is so good!!!!!
