  1. I used to think this meant God would bless my desires. Now I understand it to mean that God, in the process of transforming me, gives me NEW desires that line up with God’s will and ways. What a promise, indeed! 🙂

      1. My sentiments, exactly. Oh, BTW Sara, do you mean that you “feel like a hitchhiker that just got a “”boost””?” 🙂

      2. That’s it, MG….a ride may just be a boost. Yes, I did learn that somewhere in my early days growing up in NC….look at one of the definitions of boost; “a source of help or encouragement leading to increase or improvement :”

It makes appreciation and gratitude a little easier when someone gives me a boost! Encouragement is a gift (Romans 12:8 NIV)…”if it is to encourage, then give encouragement…”I want encouragers in my life and ones that give encouragement.

      1. Hey, tholton, did you check your heart monitor to see the goodies that are showing health, hope, love, peace and joy and abundance more? Do you have a jump rope? Jump for joy!

      2. “health, hope, love, peace and joy and abundance more”………. looks like the heart monitor is reading fabulous rhythms! I think my sons have a jump rope….but maybe I better just “jump for joy” and leave the jump roping to them. LOL!

      3. TH..Oh!! That we could jump up for joy like your sons & make a “spiritual’ slam dunk for the Lord; that would be awesome! It wouldn’t matter if we were vertically challenged..[.like I am]. A spiritual jump for the Lord ….a quantum leap!!

    1. Debi, happy that you found value in this blog. A lesson learned from a storyteller that has applying truth to their life is like finding a needle in a haystack or a pearl of great price. I think ssalvin gave us a story picture. Now, I want to find the refined gold in the desires of my heart….

  2. Finding refined gold sounds like finding your treasure and adds light to the verse “where your treasure is there will your heart be also.”

  3. That’s good, Sara. And there’s a saying that goes, “Home is where the heart is.” So if I find that my heart is ensconced amongst all my treasures and trinkets and baubles, bangles & beads then that proves to me where I LIVE. THAT’S my home!! . Oh Lord.!
