Feliz Navidad! (I wonder how many languages we can post “Merry Christmas” in? I THINK I have this one correct, in Spanish?
Tammy, great idea!
👍 I thought it would be fun.
My Sunday school teacher should be proud of me for remembering this as she was my high school french teacher!
Debi, this gives you opportunity to share this great website with your teacher. Looking forward to seeing her on here sharing with us.
I am impressed Debi. I took French in high school but I sure don’t remember this word😊
“Merry Christmas is Sheng Dan Kuai Le (Traditional: 聖誕快樂; Simplified: 圣诞快乐) in Chinese.”
Tammy, just had to get this one on record as my son is trying and doing a great job with his new ukelele to have us sing this Christmas morn! The song takes its title from the Hawaiian phrase, “Mele Kalikimaka,” meaning ” Merry Christmas”.
So cool, Sara. I love looking at the Chinese symbols/pictures. I think they are beautiful😄
In Italian it is Buon Natale. for Merry Christmas
and Happy new year is Felice Anno Nuovo in Italian.
And of course thanks to Jose’ Feliciano several years ago he sang:
Feliz Navidad…in Spanish for Merry Christmas our school children still sing it with gusto……….. and
Feliz Año Nuevo is Happy New Year in Spanish
Tammy, I enjoyed the art beauty in Chinese Merry Christmas as well. Thanks for the great idea. I felt like I went on a Christmas tour of nations sharing joy! 🎄🎼
MG, I would love to hear how ” Buon Natale” sounds, I bet you can say it too. 😄
I enjoyed the Chriatms tour of nations too!
