One Ear Bunny

My name is Dolly! I’m a Bunny! I’m a one ear bunny! And a little short when it comes to one of my front legs. Yes, a special Rabbit am I.

My name is Dolly

I live in Leesburg, Va and I’m so happy to daily hop around. I have a few favorite windows where I stop for fun. I have made friends with Socrates and Peaches. They bark. They patiently wait by my favorite window for me to appear each morn.

They never seem to notice that I’m a Rabbit missing an ear and front foot too. Their family named me Dolly. I hear them say things like, “Dolly, the one ear bunny.”

The family always seem thrilled to see me. They all stand and stare at me. Not because I’m a little different in my looks but because I’m gentle in my approach.

I wonder, they wonder, we all wonder? I have no way to tell them how I am living, hopping, thriving on three legs not four. How I hear so well with one ear not two.

They seem a little strange also. Socrates and Peaches walk on all fours. They have two ears. But, the tall ones that live and visit there walk on two legs with two ears. Gee, we are all so different in size, color, and language.

Yet, we all love our early mornings and late evenings to meet, greet, chat and smile. We have a few faithful birds that show up as well.

We have all come to a few conclusions. 1) Ecclesiastes 1:8-11 ⁸All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. ⁹What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

2) The Christian life is not meaningless. There may be nothing new under the sun, but Jesus promises, some day, to make all things new ( Revelation 21:5).

3) I am a Rabbit I enjoy the benefits of this great yard and I don’t pay rent. Neither do the birds.

My lady landlord told me a story. Rent free for me and the birds were meant to be. She told me another bunny story, there is nothing new under the sun but there are many things hidden yet to be revealed.

The world is in great search for the hidden now. She says it’s a vaccine for Covid 19. She at times talks out loud saying it’s prayer that holds a key for the hidden to be revealed. She believes where a few agree on this one thing we will see the hidden revealed.

As I close for now I have a question? Have you ever wondered why Easter loves a hunt for the new yet to be revealed? How many eggs did you find? Until next time, love Dolly💝

  1. Dolly, thank you for sharing your story with us. I really enjoyed seeing your picture and learning about you and your window visits with Socrates and Peaches. Sounds like you are a real bright spot in their day. I appreciated reading the conclusions you have come to and it is great to know that you and the birds don’t have to pay rent!

    You must have a very wise landlord who understands mysteries and how they are solved. For you told us, “She at times talks out loud saying it’s prayer that holds a key for the hidden to be revealed. She believes where a few agree on this one thing we will see the hidden revealed.”

    I am going to think a little more on your Easter question, Dolly. Sure hope we hear more from you soon.

    1. Hi Debi, did you have a stuffed Easter Buddy as a child? Did you have a basket and find hidden eggs? Where you rewarded for finding the most eggs? The prized egg?

      Why hide eggs? Why color them? Why are they called Easter eggs? Why do those 2 legged creatures love my species on Resurrection Day? A Buddy Rabbit?

      Do you sing this hymn in church? Would I be a creature?

      “Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
      Praise Him, all creatures here below;
      Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
      Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

      Praise God the Father who’s the source;
      Praise God the Son who is the course;
      Praise God the Spirit who’s the flow;
      Praise God, our portion here below!”

      If you are finding it difficult to know me maybe we could pause, and study our script again, Ecclesiastes 1:8-11 “⁸All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. ⁹What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

      Gratitude is a spring of fresh water!

  2. “Hi Debi, did you have a stuffed Easter Buddy as a child? Did you have a basket and find hidden eggs? Where you rewarded for finding the most eggs? The prized egg?”

    Dolly, I don’t recall if I had a stuffed Buddy or not, but I sure had my own special basket that I used every year to go throughout the yard and search for hidden eggs. I think there was a reward for finding the most or the one special one. The best part was simply the search and the joy of finding one in a hard to find location.

    “Why hide eggs? “

    Dolly, it reminds me of an important Truth to live by: “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 I don’t think like we will ever stop searching on this earth.

    “Why color them?”

    Well, one thing I am thinking is that God’s rainbow of Promise has many colors and many promises, so one thing a colored egg could do is remind us of that.

    “Why are they called Easter eggs?”

    Dolly, a thought I have is that an egg contains new life even though you can’t see it…it’s like it’s in a tomb. But one day, the life breaks forth, which is a good reminder that Jesus came Alive on Easter day.

    “Why do those 2 legged creatures love my species on Resurrection Day?”

    Wonder if one reason could be that you are so good at hiding your babies in secret nests in the spring and when the time is right, they emerge and we see these new little lives running around. Reminds me of this:
    “This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people.” Col 1:26

    “A Buddy Rabbit?”

    Yes, I think there is something comforting in seeing you and your buddies living close to us in our yards and near our homes.

    Do you sing this hymn in church? Would I be a creature? Yes, this is a hymn we sing in church, and you, Dolly, are one of the creatures. Sounds like you are really doing your part in praising him from the lady landlord’s account above.

  3. Hi Dolly, thank you for sharing with us. I know you must enjoy your new friends, Socrates and Peaches! And it sure sounds like the lessons you are learning (‘The world is in great search for the hidden now. She says it’s a vaccine for Covid 19. She at times talks out loud saying it’s prayer that holds a key for the hidden to be revealed. She believes where a few agree on this one thing we will see the hidden revealed.’) at your “free rental” place is priceless! I hope you will hop on over there frequently, and listen attentively, with your ear👂, and continue to share the wisdom you gain. 🐶🐇🦮🦅🙏💕✝️

    1. Hi Tammy, thank you for giving me recognition of being a good learner. I heard you are too. 💟 Dolly

      This week we are on word study. We are understanding three words complete an action, knock, ask, seek,(Luke 11:19) knock and door will open (possibilities and opportunities await) ask you will receive (takes a good eye to see a curve ball) I heard a curve ball is great potential for a score. Then we seek, we find. (Whose at the door) Our lesson on find talks about a girl named Rhoda? Do you know her? (Acts 12:13-16) “When he knocked at the door of the gate, a servant-girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate. They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They kept saying, “It is his angel. But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, they saw him and were amazed.”

      Debi, Tammy and others join in and let’s discover Rhoda, Peter, and they? And, make a discovery on how to get to AMAZED!

      Love to all, Dolly🐇

      1. Hay Dolly, I read some in the Bible, and did you know….. when I compared what you overheard your lady landlord say about prayer…..😱 There it was, in BLACK and WHITE, Acts chapter 12! Those church people prayed earnestly in verse 5. and in verses7-11 We see just what happened, don’t we? Oh, Dolly, you have to keep sharing these truths you are hearing.🙏✝️💕🐇

  4. Dolly, after you said, “Debi, Tammy and others join in and let’s discover Rhoda, Peter, and they?”… I thought we better get busy and start hunting for those eggs. Gee, if it had not been for Rhoda’s insistence (even when they called her crazy) and Peter’s continual knocking we never would have learned of the miracle of how Peter got out of prison.

    Dolly, you said the lesson this week was on a word study… “We are understanding three words complete an action, knock, ask, seek,(Luke 11:19) .

    As I read Luke 11, it seemed that persistence is a key. …”if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence.”

    1. YAY Debi! You’ve found a way to enter Victory’s Lane! “Shameless Persistence!”

      It’s hard to stay steady in the beg, beseech, bang, knock, don’t give up. We may get tired, weary and want to give up but we have God’s family hanging in like well oiled machinery. One may rest, while another knocks and the quest Rhoda pursued may be ours at times but the joy of the answer will be a celebration as we celebrate lives saved, healings, finances regained and Nations at rest.

      Thanks Dolly for keeping us hopping to it! 🙏🏻🐇💓

    2. Thank you Tammy for confirming My story. You saw it in black and white. That is so good! Would you like to know why?

      Why? It takes big faith to believe these stories. Although Lady Landlord says, no not big just the size of one lonely mustard seed. Do you think she has her story straight? I’v heard a little chat one day that stories handed down from generation to generation might be a little confusing. Says, words and meanings might get lost. I’m trying to believe these great big stories. Thinking I need to grow tall like those that stand real tall on two feet. I’m real short. I have four legs well three really. It’s a comfort I don’t need to grow and puff up real big to catch that faith to believe these stories. Just the size of a lonely mustard seed could make me a believer. Hope you find on your hunts some more black and white words that confirm.

      Love, Dolly

  5. Hi Dolly,

    My note is a little late to you so sorry. Sara told me all about you. What a special bunny you are! I love your name Dolly. Did you know that it means gift of God. To me, it represents how you relate and share the message of Jesus Christ, as a real, living testimony to Jesus Christ strength in you.

    Psalm 28: 7-8. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, he helps me.

    Dolly, I know you must ask God to help you everyday to bring joy to others You know the scripture well. Quoting it, off you hop! What a great God we serve!!!!!

    The creatures as you hop along have a lot of fear and inward/outward screaming. Thank you for quietness of soul instead of the screams and fears about the situation of COVID 19.. Do they ask you why you are not screaming?.

    Many humans are probably saying, there goes the Easter bunny, shaking their heads. They yell, “Easter bunny where is your basket of eggs?” They don’t realize your basket holds eggs that represent you and your faith. Your basket I see holds blue eggs which stand for hope in Jesus, green for growth in Him, purple for King Jesus, Red for the blood of Jesus shed for our sins, orange for the joy in Him, and yellow for the light He gives us. But one is empty. Some people know it represents a tomb with nothing inside representing Jesus has risen. Others throw it away as useless.

    Their make believe bunny representing Easter, colored eggs and candy are a whole lot of fun. I know that. As a child I loved it. BUT….. Once celebrated the baskets go up on the shelf for another year. What is with some people? Don’t they know the empty egg represented Jesus arose and is their Savior who died for their sins. Believing in Him our basket won’t be shelved, but will have all we need in it as we hop through this life and onward to eternity. This certainly makes me want dance, dance, dance, praising the Lord. How about you? Everyone should be like you, Dolly. You knock at Jesus’s door asking what you could do to help here on earth, he told you, you acted on it. Thanks Dolly, what a good example you are to me!

    Along with you Dolly, may we hold onto
    Sara’s verse given John 16: 33 please hold onto

    I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

    Signing off – your sister in Christ
    May I hop along as you do
    And visit my friends and others
    Lord as I hop along, may I bring a little bit of Jesus wherever I go just like Dolly🥰

    1. Hi Rena, nice to meet you! I heard you love telling Bunny Stories to your school kids and wherever you see a kid.

      Nice truths you impart to bring resurrection to mundane life, a basket, an egg and even a color.

      You are being prayed for I heard ♥️🐇Dolly

  6. Acts 12: 13-16 I loved that Rhoda came to the door. The others where so busy with THEIR prayers they didn’t take time to listen to God voice, “Your prayers have been answered.” Peter knocking at the door. Rhoda listened to the prayers, heard, ran to the door, saw, and ran back to tell. No one believed the child or is it you they won’t believe. Perhaps you are the one with a child like faith which no one believes. Wonder how often we pray and pray and the answer is right there and we don’t take time to listen to the ONE who gave the answer. May we be like Rhoda- with a child like faith, pray seeking GOD for an answer, listen for the answer, and see what God has done. God never answers we way we think, but the way which is best for everyone involved. May I stop to listen.

  7. Rena writes, “ God never answers the way we think, but the way which is best for everyone involved. May I stop to listen.”

    Well, my landlord, a story teller, told me a big story about that. Please open your Bible to Numbers 22, and read along, You start with vs. 20. She said, A Donkey Speaks for God. “That was all that the donkey could take from Balaam because it wasn’t the donkey’s fault so “Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have made a fool of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you” (Num 22:28-29). What a strange occurrence here. Balaam is so angry that he doesn’t notice that he’s having a conversation with a donkey! Sometimes human anger can be so great that we lose all sense of rationality and logic. Then “the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?” And he said, “No” (Numb 22:30).

    Continue to read to see what happened to Balaam, Numbers 22:31…

    A donkey talks and a Rabbit talks, love Dolly, a gift of God

  8. “Sometimes human anger can be so great that we lose all sense of rationality and logic. “It seems, Dolly, that the words the donkey spoke were so powerful that they did some miraculous things: they opened the eyes of Balaam so he could see like the donkey; and they caused him to repent. Plus, if it had not been for the donkey and his ability to see and obey to God, Balaam would have been dead.

    Gee, Dolly, I guess I understand a little better about the important meaning of your name that Rena share…”gift of God”. I think your talking and story-telling helps open our eyes to see the Lord better and that’s a real gift. Thanks for sharing your gift.

      1. I sure did not know that Dolly about Rhoda.
        I see you chose a red rose to represent Rhoda’s name. You sure must love to send us on searches. I went to your lady landlord’s book, Dressing for His Glory” to search for the meaning of a red rose. Your lady landlord said “Red roses convey the simple message “I Love You”. Rhoda must have had a lot of love for Peter and the Lord because she wouldn’t give up on him until they opened the door to let him in.

  9. Genesis 7 for your story reference:

    Hey Friends
    It’s raining today where I live. Lot of activity with traffic all around. This has kept me in hiding while I contemplate on many things. Lady Landlord believes I can still hear even in hiding and one ear. So she goes on with my daily story. I’m so hop happy that you are here. I would like to share an ancient story of how my ancestors were saved from a flood that covered the whole land and drowned all land living creatures. So, Lady Landlord said. Then she says,

    There was a righteous man named Noah, 600 years old that sure had good hearing and was very obedient. He heard God say, Noah build me a big box. And, Noah did. There were other instructions and Noah followed to the detail according to my notes. My ancestors made the cut and Two Buddies hopped right in the Big Box called an Ark.

    “The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah”. WOW! Then someone shut the door? My notes are blank as I was nibbling on my 🥕 sick. Who did it? Who shut the door?And, why♥️🐇🥕Dolly

  10. Dolly, I liked your rainy day ancestry story. So amazing what your ancestors went through for forty days. They must have had great hearing just like you…when Noah called them to come, they went in to the ‘big box’.

    I had to go read Genesis 7:16 to answer your question, “Who did it? Who shut the door?And, why♥️🐇🥕”

    It said, “Then the LORD closed the door behind them.”

    Whoa, first you told us God opens doors and now we learn He closes them. And this door had to be closed real tight I guess so no water could come in and cause the ‘big box’ to sink. And so no one who stayed outside, and didn’t have ears to hear like your ancestors, could come in either. They were locked out and drowned.

    I a so thankful that “My ancestors made the cut”.

    1. Debi, good job! You found God shut the door so no others could enter and those inside would be forever safe. My Lady Landlord said in her musings that 600 year old Brother Noah either just couldn’t do it and was standing there praying for extension of time so a few more could enter. Maybe God just would not have asked Noah to shut the door for judgement to fall.

      Or, she says maybe it was like today it’s our place to gather in all that will come into the Ark of safety and then one day it will be like in the days of Noah the door of opportunity will shut. She mused on about an article she read that thought her thinking might be foolish. She quoted, “The quote: “as in the days of Noah” is used by scaremongering “christians, evangelicals” to warn us that the “rapture” is imminent.“

      So many giant things for a little one ear Rabbit to think about. We Rabbits have a acute sight and hearing even with one ear. But, Lady Landlord keeps thinking of things to add to her other thoughts. So she adds this, “ “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”

      Do you think there is a lot to learn? 💛 Bunny Dolly

      1. Yes, Bunny Dolly, I think there is a lot to learn.

        Lady Landlord said, “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”

        I read on a little further in her parable story and saw this: “For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.”

        Guess if this happens, we won’t learn much. So, I appreciate you talking to us Dolly Bunny and telling us all about what Lady Landlord says because you told us she said, “This is why we talk out loud she says, we are given a parable and need to talk and flush out the mind to the doubt and unbelief and have the mind of Christ …”

        PS I noticed your heart is yellow…full of light and love, not insensitive and unfeeling like a callous heart. Must be why you hear so well.

      2. Bunny Dolly, the more I read here by Lady Landlord, Rena and Nurse Tammy, the more I agree with you, “So many giant things for a little one ear Rabbit to think about.” Are you thinking on all these things when you burrow in the ground?

        You told us from one of your visits to Lady Landlord that she said “maybe it was like today it’s our place to gather in all that will come into the Ark of safety and then one day it will be like in the days of Noah the door of opportunity will shut. She mused on about an article she read that thought her thinking might be foolish. She quoted, “The quote: “as in the days of Noah” is used by scaremongering “christians, evangelicals” to warn us that the “rapture” is imminent.“

        That sent me to look for some understanding of what it was like “in the days of Noah”. I found this info in Matthew 24 and it sounds a lot like today.

        “The Arrival of the Son of Man will take place in times like Noah’s. Before the great flood everyone was carrying on as usual, having a good time right up to the day Noah boarded the ark. They knew nothing—until the flood hit and swept everything away. The Son of Man’s Arrival will be like that: Two men will be working in the field—one will be taken, one left behind; two women will be grinding at the mill—one will be taken, one left behind. So stay awake, alert. You have no idea what day your Master will show up.”

        Gee, no one got back into the “Big Box” after the door was shut by God. Sounds like it will be the same scenario when the Son of Man arrives. And it does sound ‘imminent” to me. I think Lady Landlord must be right.

  11. Dolly, I went on a hunt for more words, and guess what???? Your lady landlord has her story straight. I found some words in the Bible, but this time the words were written in RED! It’s in the book of Matthew 17:20 “ You don’t have enough faith,’ Jesus told them.’ I’ll tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Hay, Dolly…. wonder just how small this mustard seed is? 🤔

    1. Hey Tammy, you are a walking library. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You found red letters. Lady Landlord has a love story to tell about that author. Well, she said the author was really quoting the words of a man named Jesus who is the Christ. And,
      Christ is the lens we look through to interpret the Words from the Bible. Now, here is where the mustard seed needs to be planted in hearts. It’s complicated, Not only do we have words on paper, but the Word becomes flesh in Jesus. WOW!

      We need Debi, the horticulturalist to figure out, “just how small” or big that mustard seed is. Tammy, you said you read in red letters if we have that much faith (mustard seed) we could move a mountain? Is that right? Lady Landlord, muses again, she told me Rabbits don’t pay rent and Rabbits already know about mountain moving because we Rabbits know about and live a life of burrowing. Moving mountains of dirt for our size to find shelter and safety. She thinks mountain moving for human shelter is safety from a dangerous source called, Satan. He builds a mountain of doubt and unbelief in man’s minds and they shelter in their hearts unbelief. This is why we talk out loud she says, we are given a parable and need to talk and flush out the mind to the doubt and unbelief and have the mind of Christ which is written about about her musings, “ Not only do we have words on paper, but the Word becomes flesh in Jesus.”

      I told you Tammy, it’s complicated but as she says, it’s relationship with Christ.💛Dolly

      1. Woe, Dolly, that’s a lot of listening you did hear! I think I see another key word your lady landlord said,”relationship withChrist”. Did your lady landlord give any clues on how to build this relationship with Christ?

  12. Dolly, mustard seed is small (at least the ones I am familiar with that you plant for mustard greens). One looks like a round dot on the end of your finger, or like the very tip of a sharp pencil lead. That sure seems like a small amount of faith that Tammy and Lady Landlord were talking about.

    1. Dolly, did you see just how SMALL Debi said this mustard seed is?😱 (“the tip of a sharp pencil lead!”) hay Dolly, if faith that small can move a mountain….. what could we move if we had faith as big as the whole pencil?!???😲

      1. Nurse Tammy, when you administer meds is it true the amount given may be according to size of the one to receive? Like how much do you weigh? I heard some humans don’t want to answer that! 😄

        I’m little in size but sharp in skill. We are kinda catching on Faith is beyond big. “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.…” Hebrews 11:3 Now? I kinda had this in my skill big, Then you up and asked a whole ✏️ question. So hip hop knock knock Lady Landlord, big question whole pencil faith? Please help me stump Nurse Tammy so she will know I’m a good learner. 🐇

        She smiles and says OK let’s ask Nurse Tammy to sing a verse to an old hymn. She says you are a good singer. But, she wants you to sing the whole hymn, “The Love of God” but explain this pencil faith found in vs three.

        “The saints’ and angels’ song.
        3) 🎼Could we with ink the ocean fill,
        And were the skies of parchment made;
        Were every stalk on earth a quill, (pencil)
        And every man a scribe by trade;
        To write the love of God above
        Would drain the ocean dry;
        Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
        Though stretched from sky to sky.”

        And, part B read and think on: Mark 9:23 “If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!” 24Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” 25When Jesus saw that a crowd had come running, He rebuked the unclean spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” He said, “I command you to come out and never enter him again.”…

        WOW he believed but asked for help for unbelief. Now friend Nurse Tammy, I’m going to take a break and nibble on my carrots 🥕 while we sharpen our pencils. (Don’t tell on me if we sharpen pencil it gets smaller so maybe test might get easier 🙄🙄✏️🙃🥰

        Oh and a Note Nurse Tammy, on your post on “relationship” this is it! 🥕💛✏️Dolly

      2. Dolly, it is true that some medication amounts given depends on size/ weight. Dolly, you are a good learner, “Faith is beyond big”. Thanks for helping me not miss the main lesson here.🥰 and I won’t tell on you if you sharpen your pencil 😉

  13. Hi again Dolly. My goodness after reading all that the others have told you my head is spinning.

    I have another thing to say about your name, looking up the origin of your name Dolly, it is derived from the name Dorothy. Your Landlord told us many years ago that Dorothy meant burden bearer. Oh Dolly, that means you are a burden bearer just like the donkey in the story of Balaam. Dolly did you know that? From notes I read Dolly for Numbers 22 Balaam was a sorcerer and people believed that they had powers with the gods (idols). Balak wanted Balaam to use his powers with the God of Israel (instead of gods of their worship) to trick God into turning against His own people. Oh Dolly, is this just CRAZY! God is NOT a god of metal, wood, or stone. Don’t you agree, they are out of their minds! Balak lured Balaam with great rewards if he would just put a curse on God’s people with trying to trick God in turning on His people? CRAZY!!!!

    verse 20 says That night God came to Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them…… Vs 21 Balaam got up in the morning saddled his donkey and went ….. In the very next verse, it says, BUT God was very angry when he went….. ??? You know Dolly, I believe and know that if you ask God with the wrong motives for asking, you hear what you want to hear. His anger was really at himself. Sin and truth do a dance and Satan wants to lead. His anger on the inside lashed out on his own iinnocent donkey. The donkey could see God’s angel so he stopped. The innocent one with a Word of God was attacked. After three times The Landlord read on and then “the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?” And he said, “No” (Numb 22:30) before he saw the angel. Debi said that the donkey, the innocent one spoke calling Balaam to repentance. Hummmmm…..

    Oh Dolly, I was wondering since you are also a burden bearer for others who God puts in your path to speak words that would cause them to repent as Debi said, where you attacked like the donkey in the story. Is that why you have one ear and a hurt leg. God speaks and you see and hear and the attack falls on the innocent one who speaks the Word of God. Oh Dolly, in other words the messenger of God is attacked. 🤔🤔🤔

    Dolly this reminds me of another story. Thousands of years later Jesus who was fully man and fully God came to die for our sins. He was without sin. While here He told everyone of His Father’s love for them. He set the leaders right about the law , healed, fellowshipped and taught about the kingdom of heaven and showed genuine love to others He met.

    Let’s look again at Jesus’s story as a foal, a very young donkey is involved. On Palm Sunday, a name we give the event, commemorated Jesus triumphant final entrance into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9) while riding a young donkey. Can you believe the people were so happy, shouting with joy as Jesus road on the path which was thrown palm leaves and people waved palm leaves and praised him in joy. 🤔. Jesus who was God, no sin, was a burden bearer, carrying all OUR sins, riding on a young foal who was innocent. It 🤔 or did the young foal carry the Word to others on the path.

    Then the following Thursday the people yelled out “crucify Him”, and/ or they watched as He was crucified on Friday? Could it be the very people along the path on Palm Sunday now took part in these two events?

    Oh Dolly, I don’t want you to think this is the end of this incredible story. Guess what happened!!!!
    Jesus arose from the dead!!!!!!!! He who came had no sin is our burden bearer. All we have to do is believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, confess our sins, and repent and our lives be set free from our sins. He, God is knocking at hearts, calling come in. He is waiting for us to open the door of our hearts. Dolly do you think many will invite Him in?

    1. Hey, hey, hey, Rena, you have asked a great big question on, “how many will invite Jesus in.” So, I had to knock on Lady Landlord’s window to seek an answer. And, that knock got Socrates 🧦and Peaches 🍑 so excited to see me and me them I almost forgot my ❓ They bark loud to say Hi. I have been burrowing in the damp ground the last few days because of rain 🌧☔️

      Lady Landlord thought it good we study a parable together told by our friend Jesus. She says this math ❓ might be above her pay scale. She laughs at herself a lot and out loud because she says she is smaller than me in knowing the mysterious ways numbers like this work.

      “Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:3-7

      She says, Bunny Dolly, worry not about anyone or how many. The Great Good Shepherd is busy scouting the whole 🌎 for even one that may need to gather-in to the Sheepfold. If even ONE desires to not invite Jesus in it will only be because they chose a different fold. She’s got a firm belief in the power of God’s love for all people.

      Maybe you can tell us more….

  14. I have such love for the Parable of the Lost Sheep and I’m so happy we are going to study this parable.
    .
    I have tried to understand all that I can about the Parable as I am so touched by the Good Shepherd. I learned that at night the Good Shepherd would have the sheep go into a cave to sleep and He would lay down at the opening protecting them from wolves who wanted to kill them. No wolf could come through the gate to destroy His sheep as He was the gate. THEY were His sheep, given to Him by His Father. He would give His life to protect His sheep.

    I know how He loves me with a never ending love, because I was the lamb who would hop off here and there as the pasture was so much greener I thought on the other side.I would get lost every time. Then the Good Shepherd with His staff would rescue me one more time. I have seen this with human creatures as well. They run away from the one who loves them. The Good Shepherd comes to rescue them as they run onto the highways of this world a wilderness compared to the Shepherd’s home. The world does not love the Good Shepherd nor believe in the Good Shepherd. Maybe one day one of the lost sheep will be found. No one is better than the others as He loves all. Stooping down He extends His arms and signals for them to come. Many run in the opposite way, but the Good Shepherd is persistent. I know because I hopped away many times. I had such an emptiness and my life fell apart. Put I just kept hopping farther and farther away. Then came a day that I was so weary, and all of a sudden the Good Shepherd found me and this time I didn’t hop away! I hopped straight into His arms. I felt His warmth and love❤️ I heard His heart as I held on for my life sakes.

    Just like the parable and a song I’ve heard You play, Well, you play many, but the one I’m thinking of is “He Lifted Me”, I never get tired of hearing it. The refrain goes like

    From sinking sand He Lifted me
    With tender hand He lifted me;
    From shades of night to plains of light,
    oh, praise His name, He lifted me.

    I want you to know that as He lifted me and held me tight, He whispered in my one ear, “I never will leave you nor forsake you. Oh Bunny Dolly, I will walk with you forever.”

    After so many, many years now I have always felt His presence. He is so close to me, I feel His heart beat for me. I was the “one lost sheep He came for”. I weep as I feel such love and think I almost hopped away from.

    Now I am counted among the 99 whom you are too, who know Jesus will never leave and who have a relationship with Him We bow and pray that another one who is lost will come running into The Good Shepherd’s arms. We will too join with the host of heaven singing out joy for this one lost sheep who was found.

    I was one lost sheep even though I’m a bunny. I’m like the other 99 who pray and wait for another lost sheep, oops bunny to come home to Jesus.

    No, your right , it is impossible to do the math! God is looking to and fro throughout the land to find the ones who where lost like I was. If He can rescue a bunny like me who likes to hop everywhere, he can rescue another one, and another one, and another one!Whose counting!

    “Oops I’m so sorry I got so excited about the story and what the Good Shepherd did for me, I forgot you said we’d study it together!

    1. Hey Hip Hop Rena, I think your were dream dancing through your story from our study. I heard you like to sing and dance. 💃Your story fits in the genre of Hip Hop 🤗🎼 And, I questioned Lady Landlord about your music choice and of course she thought hip hop great and told me stories of how music with instruments and lyrics and storytelling travels fast and often remains at the top of forever charts.🐇🐇 One such story was a Shepherd boy named, David he played a Harp. Do you know him? Then a drummer boy 🥁 Oh, a guy named Elvis with a guitar 🎸 She know about a piano player you might know named MG.

      Hey Rena, keep up the beat! 🥁🐇 💛Dolly
