Thanks my friends for joining in the full nest to empty nest. Our Baby Robins have left the nest. I can only imagine now! Until next time, Tammy
A Prayer of David
“LORD, listen closely to me and answer me, because I am poor and in need. Guard my life because I am faithful. Save your servant who trusts in you—you! My God! Have mercy on me, Lord, because I cry out to you all day long. Make your servant’s life happy again because, my Lord, I offer my life to you, because, my Lord, you are good and forgiving, full of faithful love for all those who cry out to you. Listen closely to my prayer, LORD; pay close attention to the sound of my requests for mercy. Whenever I am in trouble, I cry out to you, because you will answer me. My Lord! There is no one like you among the gods! There is nothing that can compare to your works! All the nations that you’ve made will come and bow down before you, Lord; they will glorify your name, because you are awesome and a wonder-worker. You are God. Just you. Teach me your way, LORD, so that I can walk in your truth. Make my heart focused only on honoring your name. I give thanks to you, my Lord, my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify your name forever, because your faithful love toward me is awesome and because you’ve rescued my life from the lowest part of hell. The arrogant rise up against me, God. A gang of violent people want me dead. They don’t give a thought for you. But you, my Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy; you are very patient and full of faithful love. Come back to me! Have mercy on me! Give your servant your strength; save this child of your servant! Show me a sign of your goodness so that those who hate me will see it and be put to shame— show a sign that you, LORD, have helped me and comforted me.”

A Bird and her nest! A friend and her nest! A family and their nest! Neighbors and their birds! A community and their birds.
And, God made them ALL? (Genesis 1)
Lord God, May the wonder of it all so awe the God within me that The “I” give way to the we of God’s creation! The stench of thinking “I” know how to steer my way to Mars with an old Model T or a new Bentley. Or, a lower level yet speaking idle words that stall, steal and rob the nest of the new and try and stop the progression of Jesus and His Church that gives power supply to the soul of man kind that has the spiritual wings and stance of a mighty eagle! Hear our prayers Oh Lord!
I join in prayer with you 🙏
Oh Tammy, I love the picture. It reminds me of the song “I’ll Fly Away”
Come away and rest
Psalms 55: 6 I said, “Oh, that I the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
Today we have trouble Today we toss and turn in our Troubles, But God says. “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.
Today we feel anxiety with every news report. But God says
…” Psalm 37:7, NIV. Rest from Anxiety: God wants to
bring you peace.
God says looking at our future of eternity with Jesus,if we know Him says,”Come away and rest
Psalms 55: 6 I said, “Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
What does God mean by rest?
And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”
“Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them.”
Beautiful song Rena! I enjoyed listening to it and looking and the beautiful scenery of God’s creation. Love the Scriptures you shared from the Book of Psalm. You have asked….”what does God mean by rest?” The footnotes from the NIV for verse 6-9 says: “ even those who are especially close to God, as David was, have moments when they want to escape from their problems and pressures.” Could rest mean……having a period of time without problems or pressures?? 🤔 anyone have an answer for Rena’s question?
I’m not sure I’m following the thinking on ‘rest’ in this discussion with question so my scripture may not apply. Yet, It’s a mind thumping scripture to study on rest that comes to my mind.
Hebrews 4”…2) For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it. 3) Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘ They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world. 4) For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”…
Love your prayer, Sara. It paints a graphic picture story, especially, “The stench of thinking “I” know how to steer my way to Mars with an old Model T or a new Bentley.”
Looking at Tammy’s photo of the empty nest and thinking about what you wrote above left me thinking that as nice and suitable the nest was for hatching and nurturing baby robins, they knew enough to leave that behind when the time was right and move on to new things….big trees, open skies, worm digs and new adventures.
“, they knew enough to leave that behind when the time was right and move on to new things….big trees, open skies, worm digs and new adventures.” Good point Debi 😊🐣🐥🦅🕊🌳🪱🐝🦋🌴🌞🌤

This scripture in blog from Psalm 86 gives me a prompt to pause, Selah! Debi, said it well about the Robin, nest and babies. “They knew enough”…May I daily know enough, “give us this day our daily bread”…
When I look at the picture again I think of a family who have all their children leave to pursue their own journey in the world. It is comforting that God says Proverbs 22:6
King James Version
Proverbs 22:
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Lord I pray I have trained up my children to follow after you. Their was a lady I met long ago who said to me as I was much concerned about my children: Take your hands off and let God! Many times I’d pray, “Oh God it is hard but I know you will take care of my child.” The training is from God working through parents and care for their life’s journey is God.
Matthew 11:27 says Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
I love the scriptures which says in Matthew 24 -26
Matthew 8:24-26
New International Version
24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith,(A) why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
When calm the dictionary says at peace and to me at rest. Jesus causes us to rest in Him. The disciples called out to him for help. Jesus said I will never leave you or forsake you.had in Hebrews 13: 5.
Remember call out as the disciples did.
His song says it all for me about rest and I hope it does for us:
