  1. So interesting seeing that owl, in broad daylight, perched right on top of that column/stand. An outdoor lamp may have been placed on that as well. But the owl sure poses like he is the “light” of wisdom positioned as a directional sign for all to see who pass by.

The photo and scripture remind me of these bible verses, “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matt 5:14-16

    1. Debi, it’s like you framed the OWL photo to enhance the beauty of and now ready to display our deeds for their rewards! Sure hoping for the winner’s ribbon!

      1. Hum! Yours, mine, ours… Good deeds shining= people seeing and glorifying our Father which is in heaven. His will being done on earth as it is in heaven!

Isn’t the simplicity of life a symphony of sound that delights the soul when the sound is heard?

  2. Fun fact I found on internet about owl eyes…..”Large facial eye rings common to owls also reflect light toward the eyes. Contrary to myth, owls cannot see in pitch-black darkness. However, they are able to see with only one-tenth to one-one hundredth the amount of light that humans need to see clearly. Thus, their vision is 10 to 100 times better than ours.“ 🦉 🦉

    1. Interesting about the rings around their eyes reflecting light toward their eyes! I’ve got to ponder that!
