A Rainbow

🎶He’s got the whole world in His Hands🎶

“The rainbow that I have put in the sky will be my sign to you and to every living creature on earth. It will remind you that I will keep this promise forever. When I send clouds over the earth, and a rainbow appears in the sky, I will remember my promise to you and to all other living creatures. Never again will I let floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the sky, I will always remember the promise that I have made to every living creature. The rainbow will be the sign of that solemn promise.” Genesis‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬-‭17‬ ‭CEV‬‬

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NRSVUE)

  1. Thank you, Sara, for the photos and the wonderful reminder from Genesis about God’s promise and rainbow. To see that beautiful Monarch being held in hands with the song words, “He’s got the whole world in His Hands” gives much encouragement that if God can oversee the transformational cycle of this butterfly, then He can oversee the transforming of our lives.

    Thank you, also, for posting all the info needed for joining in “The Story” audio lessons.

    And what a comfort and assurance to read the Philippians 4 scripture and John 3:16.

    1. I’m delighted to act as a footbridge with Tammy and others @Countryside Church of Christ in historic Edenton NC that record and post messages by Daniel Davenport. Our joined interest here, “The Story” book by Max Lucado.

      Most of us could recognize the name, Max Lucado and name a book title here and there of his. Why, because it’s advertised widely.

      Max does tell stories from God’s word with clarity and interest. Great writer!

      Daniel Davenport has a ‘masterful way’ of using this book on a subject matter so important to all of humanity to share his gift of teaching to help us understand, “The Story.” And, connect to one another as community.

      This book and teaching is awesome. It takes a skilled teacher to bring life lessons to creation and something this important to human life so we can understand and share. Daniel has a way to give “funny idioms” to fan the coals and ignite the sparks. We often sing an old hymn, It only takes a spark;
      It Only Takes A Spark, To Get A Fire Going
      And Soon All Those Around, Can Warm Up In Glowing
      That’s How It Is With God’s Love
      Once You’ve Experienced It
      You Spread His Love To Everyone;
      You Want To Pass It On

      Daniel Davenport, an excellent storyteller! And, other great people with internet skills, and many behind the camera has shared their gifts along with Tammy sharing her gift by her sweet unassuming gift of encouraging others to join in and participate in the lessons. It’s a ‘great gospel book club’ and she is serving as group leader to answer questions or invite Daniel into the conversation of understanding and knowledge of God and His creation and that includes you and me

      This is a great way to communicate our differences, agreements and begin to understand one another and know, ‘we are loved’..

  2. Thankful for the technology, those gifted with the knowledge to know how to use computers/etc, and for those joining in on “The Story.” I pray all will be blessed by it, and have a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father🙏🙏🙏✝️

  3. Pastor Davenport’s lesson on “God Builds a Nation” sure lets us know that God’s ways are not our ways. He takes the weak and unlikely to accomplish His purposes. A really good reminder that God is the One who gets the glory.
