    1. Hope we can get help from others.

But one thing comes to mind would be words, deeds that one does just from the goodness of the heart not knowing what it means to another at the time or even realize the value of your words or deeds. You look one day and in comes the wave of words, deeds, etc. that return just when you need it. I stand amazed how God sees and knows and rewards openly and I didn’t even realize He knew that I had left doors open!!!!!!

      ie words being my gift:
Also when the ‘gift’ (a noun) of God that is within you becomes a verb open doors become a reservoir of happiness.

      1. Well, is it like the saying…”cast your bread upon the waters and it will return to you upon every wave”?

  1. This reminds me of what Rena wrote about Torn Tied Tapestry about her friend with cancer and sending gifts and cards to encourage her…then she Rena and her school got blessed with supplies…through the door Rena left open……Read Renas Story its beautiful….dj:)

  2. Sara,
This is a great quote. It really makes being a good person worth while. Sometimes people try to be the best they can be, but maybe don’t feel appreciated. I think that the quote reminds us that the appreciation comes. One way or another people are rewarded for their good deeds.

  3. This is a beautiful quote and I could think of so many ways God has used this quote in my life and what JOY has resulted. One way recently is that through the Daily Lily I have suddenly reflected on my farm live as I grew up. I remember thinking when I was young why God didn’t let me live in the suburbs. Well, of course, now I do live in the suburbs. I now know why God let me experience farm life. The reason being I get to know so many wonderful people who have the same experience as me. I have laughed until I have cried, because I can identify. Apparently God knew about these wonderful people when he formed me. Isn’t He amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I often wonder how He so intricately weaves people together. I guess I’d just better enjoy it. I’m so glad I didn’t permanently shut the door on the farm live.

  4. This quote triggered in my mind another another quote you referred to Sara from your teaching ‘The Four Bee’s of Giftings” which really relates for me. On tape #3 ‘The Bee of Blossoming” you teach us that one way to praise God is to ‘Bee thankful’. And you quote Lord Byron:
    “All who joy would win
Must share it, Happiness was born a twin.”
You then ask us a very important question:’Are you happy with your gifts?’

I’ve learned from this that when I’m happy with my gifts that God has given me of horticulture and singing and playing guitar, etc that I want to share them and give them out to others. Without thinking about it, or many times even knowing about it, someone else gets blessed. And that is in itself often a blessing that comes back to me.
I see from reading on The Daily Lily that the other lilies are happy with and using their gifts to bless others. And so the circle of happiness continues to enlarge. How wonderful to be a part!

  5. THIS IS VERY TRUE!!!! I BELIEVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF USE MAKE OUR OWN HAPPINESS. I SAY LEAVE THE WINDOWS OPEN TOO. EXPERIENCE THE WORLD YOU ONLY GO AROUND ONCE. DONT EVER BE SCARED OR SAY NO. THERE IS A LIFE TIME YOU WILL MISS AND HAPPINESS AWAITS YOU.
