My Testimony

Biography:
God has allowed me to grow up in a missionary family in the country of Brazil. From one year of age until I was thirteen I lived in Brazil, and I helped my parents do missionary work in Brazil. As I grew up in Brazil I played with alot of street rascals in the streets of Brazil. I made close friends with a lot of street rascals. You could say that I was a street rascal my self, or at least that is what my Mom says. Many of times my friends would leave or dissappear. I thought that they had relocated to another part of the city or to another state. I didnВґt know but that was far from the truth.
At the age of thirteen God sent my parents and I back to the States for who knows how long. I graduated from high school, and God opened the doors for me to attend and graduate from Pensacola Christian College (PCC) with a Bible degree and Biblical Phsyc. minor. During my time at PCC, God placed a burden in my heart to return to Brazil to work for Him there. While at PCC God gave me a vision or plan for how He wanted me to work in an orphanage. Little did I know that He wanted me to work in an orphanage leading children to Christ in the foreign country of Brazil, and that He had an orphanage waiting for me. As Isaiah said; I said, “Here am I Lord, send me.” After graduation, I began persueing the call that God had placed in my heart.
Three years ago God opened the door for me to visit Brazil for a month, and ultimitaly visit an orphanage where He comfirmed His call in my life. During the time at (IAME) A gricultural I nstitute for the minor (ME nor,Portuguese.) Everything that God showed me in the dream was already existing at IAME. At that time I surrendered my life to God to help IAME in whatever way possible. Whether in the foreign field, or raising support for IAME in the States part time.
I joined Baptist World Missionary Outreach Ministry as a missionary, and began raising support to return to Brazil and serve God there.
I am in Brazil now with a quarter of my support to start working on my permanent Visa. I will be in Brazil for a total of six months. I will be leaving Brazil some where around Dec. 10th –
12 th. I plan to raise support a little more and then return back to Brazil for hopefully a year. Please pray for my girlfriend Debbie and her two beautiful children. That God would bless and protect them as I am so far away. Please pray for us as we seek for Gods direction in our lives. Thank you for the priviledge of placeing my testimony on your website. God Bless.

  1. I was so delighted to read your testimony. What a delight to hear of someone who is so in tune with God that not a step is taken without his direction. I too love working with children. I’m a teacher in Louisiana. I’m also a Sunday School teacher. I’m so glad that God called me to work with children as I know you are also. It has been so rewarding. I love to see the students walk in the uniqueness that God has given them. I love to see the light bulbs go on when they finally understand. I love their enthusiasm. I love them and am grateful God called me to work with them. I will lift you up and pray for your students and your ministry to them. May God work out every need you have to work with His kids.

  2. What a great testimony Headman of having a heart that is open to hear God’s will, willing to go and obedient to do it. Surely as Isaiah 1:19 says, “You shall eat the good of the land.” May you be blessed in all you do for the Lord and the Agricultural Institute. Agriculture and Brazil have a special place in my heart as one of my horticulture students is from Brazil. Thanks for sharing with us on The Daily Lily.

  3. What a fitting name for a Man of God….Headman….and welcome to the Daily Lily ….what a call..and what a way to trumpet your faith.. and I do pray for the protection and blessings on you and your girlfriend and the two children…and again welcome …..dj

  4. How Unique God is in His callings on our lives. Your testimony is truly inspiring and exciting to think that from before the beginning of time, God had this plan for your life, as in the book of Esther, “for such a time as this”. May you be blessed coming in and going out with a hedge of protection surrounding you and your friend and her children. Daily Lily has gained a stalwart friend in you.

  5. Would love to hear more about the work you are doing in Brazil. The types of things the children do. Farming, cookiing, sewing and/or types of things they are learning.

Do they attend school at the orphange or outside? Do you have special needs for the children there that are needed from the states?

We all looking forward to hearing from you and the work you are doing in Brazil.

  6. HELLO MR. HEADMAN, MY TEACHER, MRS. CHAVES, TOLD ME THAT YOU ARE “HALF” BRAZILIAN. I AM BRAZILIAN, MY STATE IS PERNAMBUCO – RECIFE, I HOPE YOU KNOW IT. I HOPE YOU SPEAK PORTUGUESE TOO – DO NOT FORGET IT. I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO YOU ONE DAY OR EVEN MEET YOU, SO WE CAN PRACTICE OUR PORTUGUESE, LET’S KEEP IN TOUCH, GOD BLESS YOU….

    1. Hi Leonardo, have you tried to use Babel Fish to traslate this page into the language that you would like to read it in. You can find the translator on the right hand side.

Please pray for Mr. Headman and his work in Brazil. I did not know that he was Brazalian before you told us.

What are you studying in school? What career will you go into? Will you continue to study horticulture? Would you like to me a missionary?
