(Prayer inspiried by Daniel and Nehemiah)
O Holy and awesome God, our Father, Whose purity is so great, so immense, so infinite, so thorough, so eternal that it defies definition; You, Who cannot be defiled by iniquity; You, Who have chosen to cut covenant with man in a spectacular display of compassion and mercy and have drawn us with incredible tenderness and unselfishness, to Your own heart by unequaled love through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we come to You now in earnest petition in the Name of that precious Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.
You have chosen koininia and charity to fellow ship with us, these pots of clay, these earthen vessels. Now these broken vessels cry out to You, desperately for our nation, our leaders, our children, our elders, our government and for our churches. We have sinned exceedingly as a nation before and against the Lord God Almighty. In audacious rebellion we have thumbed our noses, stuck out the tongue, made monkey shines and defied the Law of the Living God. We have challenged, misrepresented, misinterpreted, opposed, denied and fictionalized the the Gospel Truth, the Word of God, to fit our own desperately wicked schemes, plots and plans to to assert and heap upon ourselves, as a nation , all power, control, greed and lust. We have made SELF our idol and have enshrined IT in the Temple of Mammon.
We have ignored and cut You off from us, as a nation. Now the desperate cries of our children are ascending from the smoke-filled ruins of our land as our children perform, with little understanding, like miniature robots, like puppets in a video game, mimicking the horror-filled, violence-drenched, promiscuous actions they see and hear from a depraved, perverted eschelon of entertainment makers.
Many of us, Your people who are called by Your Name, stand by, helpless, horroifed, unable to speak, unwilling to speak for some reason, unable to witness, testify, warn, admonish….MUTE…while the picture-show of depravity streams before us. Some of the churches copy-cat the world system because the Spirit of the living God is not honored there and they no longer hear His voice.
Oh glorious God, You sent Your Son and we crucified Him and continue to do so in our public places, public forums and in our media. You sent Your Spirit and we squelched and quenched Him, some of us even in Your churches. You sent your angels and threw them off our airwaves or else we bowed down and worshiped them as a cult..
Oh Dearest Father, we repent of these violations for oursleves and for our fellow countrymen and ask You for forgiveness and for the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood to wash away these initquities, these vile transgressions. We ask for fofgiveness and for cleansing for us and our land.
We ask in the Name of your Son , Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God slain for us from the foundation of the world, Who conquered sin, death and the grave on the Cross, to forgive us our trespasses as a nation , to cleanse us for the sake of Your Name and Your Son’s name and to send revival to our nation. We entreat You for Who You are and not for what we have become.
We are desperate for a wave of Holy Spirit, again, across our nation, in our churches and schools and government. We yearn and gasp and grasp for Your rescuing power, Almighty God. Send revival we pray with thanksgiving and faith, believing that You are answering our desperate pleas and petitions, In Jesus’ Name, THANK YOU FATHER GOD. Amen

1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
I repent of my own sins for not praying as I should according to the scripture above and many others that I know to pray without ceasing and others.
YES! When Daniel prayed over his nation he, too, repented for his fellow countrymen as an intercessor besides asking for forgiveness for himself. 2Chronicles 7:14 says that “if the people that are called by MY NAME (that is the Name of the Lord God Almighty) will humble themselves, pray and crave and seek MY face with all earnestness and will turn from their wicked ways…(“wicked” comes from a root word that indicates a candle wick…that means TWISTED) then I will hear from HEAVEN, forgive their sin and HEAL THEIR LAND.” What a WONDERFUL PROMISE!
BUT, He’s left it up to us. His part is to forgive and heal. Our part is to intercede and plead in all humility before the Lord God for our nation, for our countrymen, for GOD’S PEOPLE, by GOD’S people. He didn’t mention the heathen or the sinners were to repent & pray in this particular PROMISE, but HE said “THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME.” Can that be any clearer?
I have read and reread your prayer for the nation, all along praying with you. Yes Lord, I repent for myself and for my countrymen as an intercessor. Lord we ask that you bring healing to our nation. We ask that the Holy Spirit come in a mighty wave and that many will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We praise your HOLY NAME and thank you that you care enough for us to correct us and redirect us. LORD fill us with the type of LOVE you have to love your people. May we have a love that reaches out more than it reaches inward. Lord may we walk where you want us to daily. May we speak words of LOVE and encouragement to those who need it. LORD we thank you for the wonderful examples that you have given us through the writings in the Bible, our textbook for life.
LORD we remember our soldiers and men and women of agencies who so faithfully stand and withstand for our protection. We would ask that you guard and protect them in their day and night watches. We ask that those in authority will be given details from your thrown room as to how to proceed in the future. LORD we thank you for putting people in authority that will affect the world in a positive way. We ask that you speak to and encourage them daily. We ask that your pour your strength through them and make them bold to stand and with stand for what you give them to do. Lord we again thank you for touching our lives. We thank you that we can walk and talk to you and that you listen and respond. We thank you for your relationship with us. We thank you for your great love, we thank you that your door is always open, we thank you for all you do for us, we thank you for being YOU, GOD AMAZING GRACE! THANK YOU!
