NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) – When it comes to literary pursuits in the United States most people agree on at least one thing — the most popular book is the Bible, according to a new survey.
“While the Bible is number one among each of the different demographic groups, there is a large difference in the number two favorite book,” Harris said in a statement announcing the results

Funny, and some of us that profess to our love of this Book are ashamed of it. Wonder why?
Some Bible buyers only use the BIBLE as a coffee table book but never really open it to receive the wisdom and anointing that comes from reading God’s Word and letting it guide their lives.
Like Jesus says, “you ought to have done one, and not left the other undone.”
It’s fine to display the bible in our homes showing love and honor for God’s Word but we must also READ AND HEED.
Perhaps because the Bible transcends gender, race and age it is polled as #1. And perhaps also because as Hebrews 4:12 says:”..the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart…”. When you allow it to really penetrate your life it can be a life-changing book.
