  1. Needles, that’s a good exhortation. Maybe many of us are so busy trying to keep it together that we hardly notice that we could have something inspiring, encouraging, wise or a creative suggestion that might ispire another with whom we come in contact. We should make it one of our daily goals to be aware of how we might do exactly that…inspire someone, a friend, a child, a clerk in a place of business.
Thanks for sharing that thought provoking quote. May it provoke us to action….before we “expire”.

  2. Aspire- to seek to attain or accomplish a particular goal.
Inspire-to influence, move or guide by divine or supernatural inspiration.
Expire- to breathe one’s last breath:DIE.
We need to seek to influence or guide others by God’s divine inspiration, before we take our last breath.

  3. Thanks Tammy,
A great quote to keep close. At work I could switch it with students to say I hope I inspire them to aspire before I expire. I have also been the recipient of a beautiful, wise counselor who is a role model of inspiring others to aspire to their authentic selves before they expire. Hopefully our actions will at times aspire and at others times inspire others in our journey with the Lord before we expire.

  4. To aspire means to have a yearning or desire to do something and strive to do it.

Inspire refers to the spirit of encouragement as well as the ability to stimulate creative activity.

And expire on the other hand brings a period of time to an end. Could be a person dies or could be a lost opportunity to inspire when the opportunity was there which would be lack of aspiration on ones part.

I would think whether a patient-caretaker, student- teacher, child-parent or other partnering teams we should all be coaches. A coach sees what the player can’t as the player is spotted on the field while the coach see the overview and can inspire a fire to make a change or move.

I love to inspire and I love to be inspired!

  5. Yes, this quote got my “ATTENTION”; especially, since it was written in the work place. As we all know, the work place is sometimes, where stress and frustration can become our focus; instead of inspiring someone to aspire. Thanks for all your comments.

  6. I thought this scripture went along with the above quote also on aspiring to expire.
“So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching. “(Heb 10:24-25, Message)

  7. I want to say ‘ thanks to Needles ,again, for this exhortation as I called it to mind was able to follow its advice, today, in encouraging a friend in another location, instead of just writing….”that’s nice”
This is SOOOO exciting, uh….INSPIRING, actually!!
