Chris and I made a trip to Redskins Park to check out the Redskins. Look! I am looking like Chris Cooley, don’t you think?
Check out some of Chris’ photos from training camp! How are they looking? Can’t wait for the first game?

Thanks Chris for giving me a peek preview of training camp! I love your clear photography…poster quality!
Looks like Chris Cooley got an ultimate makeover. Love it!
Looks like Washington Redskins will play their first game, Thursday, 8/13, 7:30pm EDT with Baltimore.
What is your favorite team? Do you have a favorite player? Do you even like or love football? NFL? College? Maybe High School?
Soccer, baseball? I really like all sports. That is just to watch for R&R.
I like sports too, Sara. I really can’t say that I have a favorite football team, but my husband loves the Redskins, as does my son, Nathaniel. I believe my other son likes the Charlotte hornets. I played basketball and softball growing up, so my love for sports, is certainly there. I am excited that this upcoming school season, my boys will be playing soccer, for their school. I can’t wait to learn about soccer, as I never played this sport.
Sara,
I’m not sure Chris Cooley would be wearing that kind of hair clip? heehee!
(Cute pic!!)
Gee, you caught me or you caught Cooley! The clip did it!
I wish your sons, Nicholas and Nathaniel a great successful year in soccer and academics. Blessings to both of them as they began a new step in their ‘life journey’. I pray they stay close to Jesus and follow in His steps. Learn well. Enjoy their studies. Enjoy their friends. Respect and enjoy their teachers, coaches and soccer team. May they be a blessing to all they meet and may blessings of good return to them. May they began to understand the call of God on their lives. The vocation and family life God has prepared for them from the beginning of time. I pray they will always honor their parents and their life may be long and prosperous upon the earth. May they always seek the Kingdom of God first and may God honor their seeking.
Would sure love to see them play a game.
Thank you, Sara, for these prayers. I am agreeing in prayer, with you, right now, on behalf of the two boys God has blessed Chris and I with. I pray that God will help Chris and I to be the kind of parents, He has called us to be. May God have mercy on us, when we make mistakes, in our parenting, and I ask that He continue to direct us. In Jesus name, Amen.
Thanks Lilies for bringing a light and happy touch, today, on sports. We look forward to the upcoming football season, the discussions and the cheering for our favoite teams. Of, course, I love the Redskins for sentimental reasons, But I have many students who beg to disagree with me and it makes for lively discussion at beginning or end of class. I tell my students they should root for the home team even though they may have a different favorite team. I discuss with them to be loyal to the home team and cheer for both, unless of course their favoite team is playing the home team. Some think that is a good idea. 🙂
I love sports, too. I love to play them, coach them and watch them. Most of the time it’s the only decent thing on TV. One of my favorite teams is the Redskins. I also like the Dolphins. When we were charter fishing we had Dan Marino, OJ McDuffie and a few other players fish with us for Giant Bluefin Tunas. They were great guys. Sara, I always knew you were an awesome football player and now we have the picture to prove it. 🙂 DOWN SET….
Well, football is looking good for me this year. Seems like we all have a special place in our hearts for the Redskins. We should have a good year. Let’s play (sing) ball!
Hail to the Redskins!
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath!
Fight for old D.C.!
Run or pass and score — we want a lot more!

Fight on, fight on ‘Til you have won
Sons of Wash-ing-ton. Rah!, Rah!, Rah!
Hail to the Redskins!
Hail Victory!
Braves on the Warpath!
Fight for old D.C.!
Good one Sara. That is one of the first songs I teach the students in the Fall. They love it.
I moved back to the area and am among the local Redskin Supporters or I like to say ‘encouragers’ who yells and shout to the top of their lungs until I hoarse for a touchdown.
I love all kinds of sports including baseball, soccer, and swimming. My sons swam for years and I find myself still following it. Now of course I don’t have to time, work in awards, or spend hours waiting for a race that may last a minute or two.
I heard some of my friends will be in Atlanta, Ga. tonight watching the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals! OK, Nats you are on we expect a WIN TONIGHT!
ENJOY!
Redskins had a win on Saturday night. Gary and Chris were there!!!! Go Skins!
