13 thoughts on “Making Friends

  1. Lonely A & E should have listened to the old hymn…”What a Friend We Have in Jesus”! He’s friended everyone who calls upon His Name and He’s such a GOOD Friend…He says…He will never leave nor forsake us. But I suppose that’s why Jesus came in the ‘FIRST PLACE’….because of the ‘DISPLACE’ of A & E.

  2. Interesting choice for a name…”APPLE”. Is it likened to the ‘apple’ in the garden… an instrument used in temptation or distraction… although supposedly something good, healthy… (apples and computers). Hmm
I know someone else has already made that connection…but still…

  3. Even though the Lord God was walking in that same garden in the cool of the day, guess she didn’t want to invite Him on FB…apparently she was hiding from Him after befriending the serpent.

  4. Proverbs 13:20 says: “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.” Read with me the footnotes: “The old saying ‘A rotten apple spoils the barrel’ is often applied to friendships, and with good reason. Our friends and associates affect us, sometimes profoundly. Be careful whom you choose as your closest friends. Spend time with people you want to be like because you and your friends will surely grow to resemble each other.”

Humm….sounds like wisdom to me. What do you think?

  5. Sounds like wisdom, Needles. Hang out with rotten fruit that will never be useful for anything or anyone but to throw on the manure pile and become like that yourself or separate and move on before the disease touches you seems like warning of life or death.

  6. Guess we can’t turn on a computer and immediately have a friend. Friends take a lot of interaction with – talking, sharing, supporting and uplifting one another, sharing your troubles, showing one another by act or deed how to get through a situation and sticking with them through the ups and downs. Sharing joys of life as well with dessert and coffee (fellowship) along the way. Even with a computer you can’t accomplish all those things. The computer can’t even pour the coffee or serve up the dessert.

    Good point, Rena!

  8. Lol, maybe it is good that Adam and Eve got thrown out of a garden of pleasure into a community that gives us humans. Sigh

  9. Hey, I saw a new Apple computer today…Maybe if I get the newest one I can find more friends! What da u think?

  10. Now, I just had a lesson about TRUTH, from my morning Bible study. Do I really have to give you an honest answer to this question? “Maybe if I get the newest one I can find more friends! What da u think?”
