Spring Snow

Spring Snow

The Artist was at work while I slept. What a glorious sight to awaken to. Pure White Snow! The Words of Isaiah describes the nature message delivered in the Spring of 2013. “Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
The message of Palm Sunday and Easter can’t get any better!

  1. What a gracious God we have to use something of nature to send us His message of love to the earth. For in another place Isaiah says, [Isaiah 55:10 ]
    “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater.” Now I see why God let it snow so late…to replenish the moisture of the earth to assure His people and all peoples bread. Thank You God.

    1. MG, I love that scripture. It is like dew on the roses. Color on the poppies And, glisten on the greens. What a story we have to tell of the mighty works of God.

  2. John 12: 17-18, “Many in the crowd had seen Jesus call Lazarus from the tomb, raising him from the dead, and they were telling others about it. That was the reason so many went out to meet him, because they had heard about this miraculous sign.”
    Footnotes for verse 18 says: “The people flocked to Jesus because they had heard about his great miracle in raising Lazarus from the dead. Their adoration was short-lived and their commitment shallow, for in a few days they would do nothing to stop his crucifixion. Devotion based only on curiosity or popularity fades quickly.”

    “though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” When I read the above verses and footnotes and then read how His precious blood makes my sins, as white as the snow…..how can I only be devoted to Jesus, because of curiosity and popularity?

    1. Tholton, they also wanted to kill Lazarus for just being a witness to confirm the miracles, didn’t they? I know this phrase will pale in the light of the life of Christ, His death and resurrection, ‘eat and run.’ Yet, to know Jesus, accept His plan for our lives is miraculous.

      1. Q: “Tholton, they also wanted to kill Lazarus for just being a witness to confirm the miracles, didn’t they?”

        A: John 12: 9-11 says: “When all the people heard of Jesus’ arrival, they flocked to see him and also to see Lazarus, the man Jesus had raised from the dead. Then the leading priests decided to kill Lazarus, too, for it was because of him that many of the people had deserted them and believed in Jesus.”

  3. When viewing the beautiful artistic work of the Lord, I thought about God and how his word goes out –
    the scripture for that is Isaiah 55:11 from God’ Word Translation -GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)
    My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.”

  4. Spring is always an unusually beautiful time of a burst of colors. The Lord controls the timing of this artistic display…a late snowfall can ‘hold’ the buds and blooms until He says ‘Go!” Rena your scripture, “It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” sure seems to confirm this also.

    1. I now see Debi with Rena and MG wanting words of our mouth to cause the earth to flourish. Lot of preaching going on. Tammy preached the message above we are together. We must be going to live in a Rain Forrest. Lot of good food there!

  5. Well I’ll be thinking of rain and spring this morning as I do the following finger play with the children at BSF. Hope we all in our hearts can sing it as well thinking of God’s creations and the Creator God.

    Spring Song

    The rain is falling with a tap, tap, tap! (Let fingers fall like rain)
    The flowers are waking from their long winder nap. (Yawn and stretch)
    The birds are flying from the trees so tall (Flap arms.)
    Singing “God is love and He cares for all.” (Sign God and love and raise your hands to heaven)

    1. Rena, what a good work you are getting to do for our Risen Savior Who loves all the little children of the world…red and yellow black and white…they are precious in His sight. And YOU get to present Jesus to them!
      Jesus in the Winter;
      Jesus in the Fall;
      Jesus in the Springtime and
      Summer, best of all.
      Oh what a wondrous work He is asking of you!
      PTL!
