When I read scriptures and meditate on the art of Dawn Collins together I seem to understand spiritual daily life just a bit better. At times Dawn calls her art, hippie, and I like that. It makes me think my walk with the spirit is not very conventional. This art with scripture gives me a question to ask myself; “ do I have enough sunlight, (Son Light-Word) to help others grow.”

I see heavenly draftings
MG, I am not getting ‘heavenly draftings’…could you explain a little more…
I see the words…”love” on the wings, in the picture above. God’s Word tells us in Matthew 5: 43-47 says: “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that.”

Love your question, Tammy? I, have come to believe when we are bold enough to question or admit our omissions we are humble enough for God to give us a private showing!

An old hymn comes to mind when I look at Dawn Collin’s art in this particular picture: Drawing from What TH wrote I see in this picture “Love LIfted Me”.
I see through Dawn’s artwork that love is clearly defined, has black and white parameters and is made up of distinct actions. It is not an emotion or feeling or set of arbitrary rules. It is much higher because true Love is born in the heavenly realm and brings vibrant Life to those who are touched by it. Love is Truth.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” I John 4:8,9
“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” I John 4:16
Like the abundance of art hearts we have abundance of word hearts in comments here! You’re all heart! Hearts of Gold! It seems to me the artist has shown us a heart as an opened book, easy to be read. Love poured forth!
This reminds me of the song, “We’ve a Story to Tell to the Nations”. The angel has come with the passion (pink hearts in her hands) She is covered in hearts. From early on we have heard God is LOVE. The greatest of commandments is to LOVE. The angel must be an evangelist angel dispensing of that Story of Jesus and his love.
The black outlined hearts are ones that have accepted JESUS. The scripture says: Ephesians 1:13
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
13 In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;
Also the black may mean to walk in obedience to God and not go outside those parameters, otherwise we might leak out beccoming a weak light or no light to others.

The angel in the artwork is surrounded by transparent hearts. There is no spot or darkness in them. They must know the Truth and the Truth has set them free. They live life in the heavenly, eternal realm. Perhaps they represent those that Jesus referred to in Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
The hearts in the picture sure seem light…floating in beauty and color. No heaviness here!
