“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”~ Ephesians 5:20.
Ivan Parker challenged me and I challenge you; “this month to make a list of ll the things you are grateful for. Keep it near you and give thanks every day. There’s power in that, friends!”
1)safe travels for my son that arrived home safely, and travels often 2) calls of encouragement daily from my sons, 3) friends that pray and care for myself, family and doggies in more that 11 ways 4) my doggies 5) my husband 6) health 7) faith 8) computer to build my faith and connect to friends 9) homes 10) healthy foods 11) health care……Oh, I have many more and I’m sure you do as well.
Let’s do as Ivan Parker has challenges some of us and make our list and give thanks through the month of September and challenge others to come here, the daily lily, and join in. When others join in the chorus image what the gates of heaven must look like.
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”~ Ephesians 5:20.

MG, great Eleven! Now, remember to do as Ivan asked, keep it near by for a month and give thanks and he said ‘there is power in that! ” Go for the Power Bar!
Yay, thanks for the reminder to carry the list in my pocket and near my bedside to pull out
& confess thanks often.
oops! Missed number “[8] true friends. There!
And I have added to this prayer of 11 thanks, PS 40:1-8 with emphasis on verse 5.
It prays, ” Many O Lord are the wonderful works which You have done and Your gracious thoughts toward me [us] No one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered.”
What truth is God’s love and the benefits He provides for us. May we rememeber to give Him thanks for the ELEVEN for which we are exercising our thanksgiving and gratitude to such a benevolent God of Love and & Justice tempered with mercy.
I’d like to join the thanks challenge also and say I am thankful for: 1)God’s daily mercies; 2)His great gift of salvation; 3)the friendship and support of the Daily Lily and the lilies; 4)a job and also one that I like to go to; 5)that I am healthy and can walk and go and do; 6)that I have eyesight to see God’s beauty in nature; 7)my bulldogs; 8)a vehicle to drive; 9)food and shelter; 10)water to drink; 11) a guitar to play and sing with

Thus thankful for the friends I have and the friends He is continually placing in my path as I journey with Him.
Rena, you need copy(s) and make sure your apron has two pockets to hold this plethora of thanks! You have a beautiful testimony of walking when the Spirit directed and the roads were curvy with not much sight. But travel you did! And, home you found. Ivan says, there’s power in giving thanks, and I think most of us agree. I see high gear kicks in and story talks for you! Congrats on going beyond mediocrity!
I just sang along with Ivan Parker, “I will never forget that day love called my Name…” Whoa, more than 11 thank You Mighty God, Prince of Peace ….please be glorified in me.
I am thankful for: Jesus, my husband, my two sons, my church, the privilege to worship the Lord freely, my health, my home, my job, my friends, an automobile to drive, food and clothes, and the list could go on.
Those are fantastic blessings. And how about the skill God has given you as an RN….very special and your special love for the HEART! Good job, TH.
Ivan says their is power in daily giving thanks! I believe him…I have some friends that remind me to stay faithful and that’s a big gift. So a big thank you to faithful friends.
