In an earlier post a few months ago we posted MG’s piano. MG was a gifted piano player and when her earth time came to an end God had a protege ready to pick up and play in the same gifted way she played for many years. Jerry has her piano now and shared his success with us which helps keep her memory alive. Thank you Jerry. And, we are so proud of you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What a delight to hear Jerry play and see that MG’s piano is being used so beautifully.
Music is a gift to life! When the gift of music shows in a child and we get an opportunity to help the child develop and share the gift it becomes a song! The Psalmist wrote a song that reveal this truth “Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD!” 96:1 And, vs 2 “Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.”
Pause and think when we join in the new song what happens on our earth!
I stoped by Hobby Lobby today and as I walked through I realized I was singing with the store music. No words just music. The arrangement caused me to sing “Trust and Obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey…” I paused and thought you are singing out loud and you have never heard that music. 😱🎼🎹 it truly was a different type of music than I was familiar with but I heard the story of the writer. I came home and was texting with a friend about circumstances that might not be the way we were thinking we had planned things. I found myself twice in our short conversation saying something like ‘It will be the right thing when it happens because God knows best.’ I felt very confidant about that.
Fast forward few hours later I thought why were you talking like that it sounds so trite. I stopped by here and listened to this young gifted lad play and reminded myself of his story and I knew our story was right, “Trust and Obey…”
Yes, I repeat my thought words from above, Music is a gift to life.
What a God given gift that young man has and whom MG stood along side as a cheerleader encouraging his gift. Seeing him play brings a tears of joy that what God planted in him was watered a bit by MG.. Now she has turned over the baton to him. She may not see all he will become on this side of heaven but he will remember and give praise to his favorite music teacher whom God put in his path.
