I wrote this little song years ago when I needed encouragement for myself and others. We would sing it in church, home, car and plane! Maybe even a train! I continue to sing day by day!π―οΈ

Find the Light and Follow it β¨
This was my todayβs devotion;
βWe all carry a light within us, a light God has placed in us when we were made in Godβs image. This light illuminates and warms our path like a fire through our days. It is our task to keep this light shining.β

βEvery good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.β

Search, seek, look for the light and you will find THE LIGHT! (from Matthew 7:7) and then be WISE and follow it!

Merry Christmas

Sara, your devotion from today, ββWe all carry a light within us, a light God has placed in us when we were made in Godβs image. This light illuminates and warms our path like a fire through our days. It is our task to keep this light shining.β, reminded me of your retreat workbook, βThrowing Your Light Forwardβ. You wrote in it, βThe light is within youβ¦β and linked it to II Corinthians 2:14-17⦔through us Christ diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.β Additionally, these powerful words from your book help deepen my understanding of this Light within us: βThe light is within you, Sara, and shining through your life. Therefore, as you have The Light within you, believe in The Light and you will become Light.β Β And I think this goes right along with what you said in this blog, βSearch, seek, look for the light and you will find THE LIGHT! (from Matthew 7:7).
Thank you for the Β beautiful photos and picture that draws us to This Light and helps us reflect and appreciate the Gift this Light has given us this Advent season and forever.
Psalm 27:1 says: (NLT) βThe Lord is my light and my salvation so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?β The footnotes for this verse says: (NLT) βFear is a dark shadow that develops us and ultimately imprisons us within ourselves. Everyone has been a prisoner of fear at one time or anotherβ fear of rejection , misunderstanding, uncertainty, sickness, or even death. But we can conquer fear by trusting in the Lord, who brings salvation. If we want to dispel the darkness of fear, let us remember with the psalm writer that β the Lord is my light and my salvation.β π
But everything exposed by the light becomes visibleβand everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
