Be Blessed and Be a Blessing in 2026

When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears,
and rescues them from all their troubles.
(Psalm 34:17 (NRSV)

Christ invites us to be Christ’s hands and feet, are we not also Christ’s eyes?

When they ask us to come and see, many respond. And then we go and do. Come and see. Go and do likewise.

  • St. Teresa of Avila: Her famous prayer begins, “Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours,” emphasizing our role.
  • Biblical Call: Based on verses like Matthew 25:34-40 (serving the least of these) and 1 Corinthians 12 (the body of Christ).

I would like to say thank you to all that shared a prayer, a cookie, a flower, peanuts, pair of gloves, a kind word, a card among many other acts of kindness throughout 2025 with me and my family. Please know you are recorded in my book of gratitude. My prayers of Blessings for each of you.

Be greatly Blessed in 2026!

  1. “Christ invites us to be Christ’s hands and feet, are we not also Christ’s eyes?”

I look at this photo above and review and think on so many photos and graphics that you have posted on The Daily Lily, Sara, that have brought joy, stimulated thought, provoked questions, provided solace, and so much more. It seems that you have blessed us readers by being ‘Christ’s eyes’. You saw, you captured, you posted. Thank you!

I would like to echo Sara’s appreciation in thanking all who input into my life this past year with gifts, thoughts, prayers, cards and so much more… And I am especially grateful for all that TheDailyLily has provided to encourage and inspire and bring the Truth of God’s Word to us so faithfully and consistently throughout this year.

Thank you, Sara, for these blog scriptures, quote and prayers of Blessings.

  2. …And another gift that I am so thankful for is Tammy and her faithful writing on The Daily Lily. I always look forward to reading her comments and those ‘footnotes’ she shares related to the scriptures so timely and helpful!

  3. From one of my morning devotions made me stop and ponder our lead promise scripture; When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears,
and rescues them from all their troubles.
    (Psalm 34:17 (NRSV)

    Devotional:
“A soldier asked Abba Mius if God accepted repentance. After the old man had taught him many things, he said, “Tell me, my dear, if your cloak is torn, do you throw it away?” He replied, “No, I mend it and use it again.” The old man said to him, “If you are so careful about your cloak, will not God be equally careful about God’s creature?”

“Come now, and let’s settle this,
    says the LORD.
Though your sins are like scarlet,
they will be white as snow.
If they are red as crimson,
    they will become like wool.”

    —Isaiah 1:18 (CEB)
