Game

This game has been a favorite of many children. I hope you out there will also enjoy it. If you want you can make little men the size of giant
gingerbread men (about 8 inches in length) and put the statement on one side and the answer on the other. I will give you ten at a time to see how well
you do. You will need to make about 50 cardstock gingerbread men in all. I will let you know how you did. Here goes:

1. I was stoned for my belief in Jesus. Saul, later known as Paul,
watched me being stoned. Who am I?
2. I denied Jesus three times before the cock crowed. Who am I?
3. I am King Saul’s son. I was best friends with David. Who am I?
4. I am the Bread of Life that gives Life, the Living Bread. Who am I?
5. I was Isaac’s son. I stole my brother’s birthright. Who am I?
6. I was a wee little man that climbed the sycamore tree to see Jesus. Who
am I?

The Wishful Butterfly

One day a tiny little egg was found under a leaf in the fertile valley called earth. Inside the tiny little egg was a tiny caterpillar. This little caterpillar was so excited. He pushed and pushed and pushed. “Let me out! He screamed.

This place is too small for me!” Just as he was about to give up, POP! The egg gave way and the caterpillar crawled out into the bright sunshine.

He looked all around. “Ah, ha! So this is what is outside that deep, dark egg I was in,” he said.

He crawled around. He loved the earth. He loved to breathe in the wonderful fragrances of spring. He loved to breathe in the green, grassy smells, the woody smells of the woods, and the dewy smells of early morning.

As he ventured around he became aware there were more of his kind around. Something inside of him said, “I must impress these other creatures.” He worked hard. He had the best home. In fact, itContinue reading “The Wishful Butterfly”

“The Wake-UP Call”

Genesis 6:5-8 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing- all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them. “But Noah found favor with the Lord.”

During Noah’s day the world was filled with violence. Adam and Eve’s child and grandchildren were walking their own and not walking with God. They were arguing, fighting, killing, lusting, committing sex sin, and doing whatever they pleased. This was Chapter 6 of the very first book of the Bible. The people of Noah’s day walContinue reading ““The Wake-UP Call””

THE MAN WHO WALKED INTO HEAVEN

Every night my boys ask me to read them a Bible story I have an old set of books with Bible stories that I had when I was a child. The other night I read my boys a story titled THE MAN WHO WALKED INTO HEAVEN. This story was discussing Genesis 5:21-24. Verse 21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah. Verse 22 After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived in CLOSE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD for another 300 years and he had sons and daughters. Verse 23-24 Enoch lived 365 years, WALKING IN CLOSE FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD. Then one day he disappeared, because GOD TOOK HIM.

As I read this story I began thinking about Enoch. The life span for this generation was on the average about 900 and plus years. Methuselah who was Enoch’s son lived to be 969. Our average life span is about 80 years. Sometimes I have a difficult time finding sixty minutes to spend with God. Enoch walked in aContinue reading “THE MAN WHO WALKED INTO HEAVEN”
