  1. Holidays at times bring an abundance of stress, so many may say. Yet, this Holiday, Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, brings an abundance of Peace. Jesus, our celebrity is ‘The Prince of Peace.’ When we invite Him to our Christmas Celebrations we find Peace- Peace- Peace. If you are experiencing anything other than peace, I would like to suggest that you do a security check on your traveling companion.

Jesus wove us together to connect and communicate. We phone friends, we form prayer and sharing groups and we join hands. We join and visit home churches, cathedrals and other worship centers to build our Faith. That’s how we encourage ourselves and one another. That’s how we get things done. We come together to give and receive the things we need for our being. Maybe ourselves or another could use a hug, a shove for the snow, a good laugh, or a pill of wisdom. Find and join a Circle of Faith-in -Jesus-believers. And if there isn’t one yet in your community, work or family, start one.

Let us join hands with one another. I hope my prayers of hope, love, joy and peace have reached each one of you and your families as I offer prayer 101 for each of you.

My 101 Prayers for each of you:

    1. Asking God to intervene on your behalf.
    2. Asking God for a specific outcome for your needs and desires.
    3. Asking God for your very best or “Thy (His) will be done,” in all areas of your life and those you are in relationship with.

  2. Thank you for this inspirational blog, prayer and picture that illustrates your teaching so beautifully. The picture got me thinking. I noticed that this Advent wreath (which will last for years) was made of ‘everlasting’ parts of evergreen trees…the dry cones which contain the seeds (of faith). You encouraged us to ‘connect and stay connected’ to godly people (among other things. As I look at the picture closely it seems that all those cones are different shapes, sizes and colors…probably from different trees. We, too, are all different and come from different family trees. But as we allow ourselves to be connected together, interdependent and woven into Christ’s eternal circle, we become a structure for the candle light of the ‘Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace’ to burn brightly in our minds and hearts and lives. “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father…. in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord”(Eph 2:18-22).

  3. I would like to offer prayers for distant healing to people all over the world. Jesus came to the world and His love is reaching out to the world even now as I pray that His love will reach to you.

I am praying for people in a different location who don’t know they’re being prayed for.

As I sit and read His Word, pray for you and focus on the beauty of the life of my nativity scene, I am reminded of such miraculous love that came from this child that was given to us. By Faith I know that only The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Himself can and will and does offer mercy, grace and hope to all.

Ask Him today for grace, mercy, love and peace to be released in your life for all your needs as I agree in prayer with you.

Our God is a Mighty God, an Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and all the world’s cares are upon His shoulders. Be Blessed this Christmas with His Eternal Flame!

  4. I hope and pray that each one that stopped here for the ‘moment of now’ will find a moment of quiet reflection and peace and take it with you wherever you go.

Merry Christmas and God Bless us every one!

  5. The “Moment of Now”…..yes…that Peace that passes all understanding…..Merry Christmas….To all…To Sara and Family….dj

  6. As outdoor water gardens provide so many of us with peace and tranquility, how much more so the many pools of reflection that you have given us throughout the year on this website. And to know that we can pause and ‘come away’ at any hour of the day or night and be refreshed and renewed.
Thank you, Merry Christmas and abundant blessings for the New Year.

  7. We sang the song in Church, this morning.
Let there be Peace on Earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on Earth
The peace that was meant to be
    With God as our Father
    Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my sister
    In perfect harmony
    Let peace begin with me
Let this be MY MOMENT NOW
    With every breath I take
Let this be my solemn vow
    To take each moment and
Live each moment in Peace, eternally
Let there be Peace on Earth
And LET IT BEGIN WITH ME (Miller & Jill Jackson)
Sara asked in her poll, how often do you pray for world peace? I had to answer according to the choices given….”once in a while” wasn’t on the menu so I had to be as close to the truth as possible….’not at all’.
Sometimes it seems ‘the impossible dream’ to have peace on earth! And yet, my King and Lord is the PRINCE OF PEACE! Do I have enough faith to believe that since HE is the Prince of Peace that PEACE is attainable for He is the one Who reigns over it? Could I have enough faith to believe that the Prince of Peace reigns in our hearts and minds and that peace is to be dispensed across the nations, across the globe through us, by our lifting up of our prayers in behalf of Peace? But who could do accomplish such a monumental and enormous feat? “Not by power, not by might but by the Spirit of the Living God”, if we will pray for peace, then He will bring peace, for His Word does not return void but accomplishes every jot and tittle of the Word of God.
So let us petition the Lord for Peace on Earth. Peace between God and man has already been accomplished on the Cross of Calvary by Jesus Christ for all who accept the supreme sacrifice of our Lord and make Him their God.
If we accept so great a salvation then the beginning of Peace has commenced….that is…..the part of the song that says,
“AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME.”
