Guess who?

Is this ‘Mash’, ‘General Hospital’ or World War II? Her Mother and I found this in some very very old pictues. Has anyone ever seen anyone wear a uniform with a hat that looks like this? Maybe it’s as ‘The World Turns’? Was it a century ago? A millennium?

I know with all the research Lilies we have we will identify and write a story of the year of?????

I must say she sure is beautiful and sweet looking. The Mona Lisa will have to move aside and let this anonoymous lady reign. (Mona Lisa |Л?mЕЌnЙ™ Л?lД“sЙ™; Л?lД“zЙ™| a painting (now in the Louvre in Paris) executed 1503–06 by Leonardo da Vinci. The sitter was the wife of Francesco del Giocondo; her enigmatic smile has become one of the most famous images in Western art. Also called La Gioconda .)

The Roses/Lilies of God

While away on vacation, I had the opportunity to work in my mother-in-law’s beautiful rose garden. I pulled the weeds, clipped off the old roses that had dropped their pedals, and trimmed away dead branches. In a matter of a week, I could see new buds starting to form. What a beautiful sight and fragrance to behold.

Recently I was going through a study on Spring – Landscaping Designs by
Sara and with the activity with the roses and the recent summer
retreat I figured God must really be telling me a few things in a
hand-on/mind-on/spirit-on way.

The first thing that was revealed to me as King Solomon said, “Arise my
love, my fair one, and come away with me.” The second thing is that we are to be a mirror image of our Father. Our Father is a creator. He is an artist. According to a quote from Oswald Chambers in the Spring lesson, “An artist is Continue reading “The Roses/Lilies of God”

Can you think? Answers

Okay here are the answers by the “experts”. Some of you (Jersey) not to mention any names consulted an expert but did not post HIS answers. Some of your answers were better than the experts. i.e “I don’t put giraffes and elephants in the refrigerator.” And for #3 “the one he just ate.” And “I’ll click the heels of my red shoes and fly across.” And something about lions and lionesses not talking after dinner. Oh ‘Chickenfarmer’ you should keep the boys out of the refrigerator. They could spill the milk and make a mess. Needles shouldn’t have to work anymore with sons answering like that, Hollywood is calling and another ‘Steve’ will soon need another job. (Steven Spielberg)

Let me know what you think about these answers.

1. How do you put a giraffe in the refrigerator?
Open the door and put him in and close the door.
2. How do you put an elephant in the refrigerator?
Open theContinue reading “Can you think? Answers”

The Rock

Retreat July ’06 “The Dance of Healing, the ultra healing spirit comes from within”, by Sara was a great spiritual experience. One of the teachings Sara instructed us through in the Dance of Healing workbook to do was to вЂ?come wondering and questioning’ God especially in areas that we do not see growth. Tops on my list was my struggle with effective communication with others and especially my family. I learned at the retreat the importance of words…how they either poison or give life. I surely want Life to be given to others and myself. As a horticulture teacher and consultant I seem to be able to convey this sort of information effectively but when it comes to interpersonal communication I see myself as a failure no matter how hard I try.

In my frustration I cried out to God for hope that failure could turn to victory. I believe in answer to my prayer that Continue reading “The Rock”

Can you think?

I came across this test the other day. I understand it is designed to test your thinking and reasoning ability. I thought you all might like to give it a try.
1. How do you put a giraffe in the refrigerator?
2. How do you put an elephant in the refrigerator?
3. Since the lion is the king of the animals and they follow his command, which animal didn’t show up at the party that he ordered them all to attend?
4. You are traveling in Africa and you come to a river filled with crocodiles, you have no boat and the bridge is out. How will you cross without being eaten by the crocs?

I was told that this test was given to executives at Fortune 500 companies and to preschool children. And that some executives didn’t get any right answers and some preschoolers got most to the answers.
After you post your responses, I will put up the correct answers and you can see if you are executive or prContinue reading “Can you think?”
