There’s no flower quite like a rose to say �I love you’ on Valentine’s Day. And sometimes there’s no greater disappointment than to see that beautiful rose head droop a day or two later. If you are the fortunate recipient of a rose this Valentines’, here’s a few tips that may keep them looking beautiful longer.
Boxed long-stem roses generally require that you remove them immediately from their box. If they have filled water pics (they look kind of like little test tubes) on the end of their stems and you plan on keeping them in a cool area above 32 F, you may leave them boxed without harm for several hours or another day. When ready to remove them, have a clean vase or container ready to arrange them in to which you have added warm (110 F) water and a floral conditioner.
