“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18.
“My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.” I John 2:1
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”John 14:27
A Snowman built to create joy from the wonder and awe flakes of ❄️❄️❄️❄️ snow gives as it falls gently upon the earth. It brings with it various benefits to the earth as well as joy to the heart when created for building and making scenes in our yards. I didn’t even mention the joy of making and eating snow comes.
Snow brings life to the soul when used as a story to shine light on the greatest story every told. The Christmas Story of Baby Jesus born in a barn and giving a light to guide the Magi to gift this child that would and is The Light that guides us to Truth!
”For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!“

What a creative, beautiful snowman, Sara! It sure does help tell The Story you wrote of, and help explain the scriptures.
I also see how he is intertwined and built on a tree. That reminds me that the Savior you tell us about was crucified on a tree, and died for us there, so we could have Life and live that Life eternally with Him.
These are a few verses that talk about the tree made into a cross.
“The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” Acts 5:30-32 ESV
“And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.” Acts 10:39-41 ESV
“And when they had carried out all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead, and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.“ Acts 13: 29-31 ESV
Debi, stories are wonderful. You as high school teacher working with trees and plant materials have great op to share the awe and wonder of the story you just told here.
Plus you have 3 little grands running around with parents among many others to share stories. Many people visiting and buy plants to chat with also. Just think plant a tiny seed and watch it grow.
I think Jesus referred to a mustard in Matthew 13:31 ”Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”

It’s often said, “Advent isn’t about thinking different thoughts. We spend Advent thinking about someone, the One,…”
“If you were raised with Christ, look for the things that are above where Christ is sitting at God’s right side. Think about the things above and not things on earth.”
—Colossians 3:1-2 (CEB)
The footnotes for John 14:27 says: “ The end result of the Holy Spirits’s work in our lives is deep and lasting peace. Unlike worldly peace, which is usually defined as the absence of conflict, this piece is confident assurance in any circumstance; with Christ’s peace, we have no need to fear the present or the future. Sin, fear, uncertainty, doubt, and numerous other forces are at war within us. The peace of God moves into our hearts and lives to restrain these hostile forces and offer comfort in place of conflict. Jesus says he will give us that pays if we are willing to accept it from him. If your life is full of stress, allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with Christ’s peace (see Phillipians 4: 6,7 for more on experiencing God’s peace). I believe this verse in John 14 and the footnotes offers encouragement for us all to enjoy this peace He offers🙏🙏🙏
The footnotes for 1 John 2:1,2 says: (NLT) “ two people who are feeling guilty and condemned, John offers reassurance. They know they have sinned, and Satan (called ‘the accuser’ in Revelation 12:10) is demanding the death penalty. When you feel this way, don’t give up hope— The best defense attorney in the universe is pleading your case. Jesus Christ, your advocate, your advocate, your defender, is the Judge’s Son. He has already suffered your penalty in your place. You can’t be tried for a case that is no longer on the docket. United with Christ, you are as safe as he is. Don’t be afraid to ask Christ to plead your case— he has already won it (see Romans 8:33, 34; Hebrews 7: 24,25).

Thanks for sharing your footnotes, Tammy. They really help provide clarity on true Peace…like you wrote, it is… “Unlike worldly peace”.
