The place where the school stood is empty now,
And bears only shades of the past.
The laughter of children is no longer heard,
Yet many sweet memories last.

What do you think?
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy– think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
I have just seen the last dvd by Joyce Meyer’s, “Battlefield of the Mind”, in my local community Bible study. One of the scriptures she shared was this one, in Phillippians. She said, “where the mind goes, so does the man”, and she cautioned us to be careful what we think.
Alice Adventures in Wonderland-Chapter XII
Remember that when we left Alice last time she was in court where there was a trial going on over stolen tarts. By now Alice is growing so large that she upset s the jury box with her skirt as she stands up. The trial finally proceeds after this upset and when asked by the King what she knows she replies, ‘Nothing whatever.’
In response to Alice’s large size, the king declares, “Rule 42 …All persons more than a mile high to leave the court!” Alice retorts that she is not a mile high and that it’s not a regular rule and that the king invented it just now. To this brash comment the king replies, ‘It’s the oldest rule in the book.’ Alice is undaunted in her defense and firmly states, “Than it ought to be #1.” (Sounds like he is making up the rules as he goes? Is that legitimate?)

David David
This psalm of David sixty-nine
So thrills this aged heart of mine.
For sake of rhyme, I paraphrase,
To speak of David’s wayward ways.

Turn Self into Elf
Subtract S from Self and you’ll have Elf!
Why Elf you might ask? It’s lest room for Self!

Thoughts of David and Goliath
This week the Holy Spirit kept bringing the story of David and Goliath to my mind and urging me to go a little deeper into the story. With the help of Sara I was able to finish this piece.
When I focused upon the story I thought isn’t this story like life. We come up against situations that everyone tells us are impossible and that we don’t have a chance against them. We hear the words to the effect, the problem is too colossal. The situation is too nerve racking, shaking us to our bone marrow as we look upon the giant. Is it fear, a relationship, an illness etc.? Outsiders see the giant that is our enemy and just like the Israelites they are overcome by the pure size of the giant.
